It was a convenient stay. However, each time I called because of something I need, the front desk could not help me. I arrived after 10pm, for example, and needed to order some dinner. When I called the front desk, I was told that the kitchen closes at 10:30pm. I later learned it closes at 11pm. The only complaint is that we didn't have a refrigerator.

Ever want to sleep astride a real interstate road. Then try this one, hung over the Mass Pike. There are earplugs in the bathroom for good reason. But the whine can lull you to sleep, as long as the semis do not do engine-braking. Front desk people are grim. Bar is fruity. Parking is outrageous. Rooms have been rehabbed since the worn-out Sheraton days. […] I only stayed here because the Yankees were in Boston and all the closer in places had doubled their prices or were sold out. 더 보기

Visiting colleges and chose this hotel because of convenience to highway and very easy on and off. Had read that parking garage was $24 per day, but recently was reduced to $9. Swimming pool is very small. Kids liked watching highway traffic under the building; only a little bit of noise. A few good restaurants in walking distance. i loved everything. This was a last minute book; the night before. As soon as i walked in, nothing but respect. Great room and the proximity to the city without being in the city was great. Yearly stay for me.

Too loud over highway

A fire alarm with an in room speaker was triggered by an electrical failure. The speaker was loud and blared every minute. We went to bed at 9 PM and the siren continued for 20 minutes and woke us. In speaking with the telephone operater I felt that this was an ongoing and recurrent problem.

Wonderful hotel that was good for the price. The bus stop is right down the street for easy access to Boston. Staff was helpful, room was clean and we had a great view!! Would stay again..only improvement's I would suggest would be warmer water in the pool and maybe a refrigerator in the rooms.

Location awful, room and hotel actually really nice. Room pretty small. Fire alarm went off for 30 minutes. Ok but too expensive for size of room and no perks.

Not impressed for the price. Light in room over bed did not work..we were told they were being redone but had not got to that one yet. Air conditioner old and noisy. No coverage of local baseball game on the tv. The TV remote was slow and unresponsive.

The hotel building sits across interstate 90 - it's so extremely noisy because of the traffic that the hotel provides you with ear-plugs!!! Avoid it!

The room was large and clean. Very easy to access to Boston downtown. My family enjoyed the stay. Only I disappointed was the service at restaurant in the breakfast time. What they did to us was not professional way.

The reception desk staff are all so welcoming and friendly! My room was spacious, clean and so comfortable with a wonderful view! The "coffee shop" has a wonderful breakfast...we ordered off the menu rather than the buffet and although the service is rather slow it is worth the wait, cause I had a fabulous omellette, real home fried potatoes (not canned), […] and the coffee was delicious! I had stayed here once before so when I was coming to the area again I wanted to stay here cause the reception staff made me feel so welcomed! 더 보기

This hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. The comfortable bed would have provided a good nights sleep but our room faced a major highway and it was extremely noisy. Be sure to ask for a room as far away from the highway as possible.

Arrived in Boston about 9 pm after long drive down from Bar Harbor and dinner at the Burlington Mall. Had no problem getting to turnpike and seeing the motel looming ahead, directly over the highway. However, it took some time and several near acccidents before we were actually able to check in. I am an old Eagle scout and am pretty confident of my […] map reading skills, but the Mass turnpike is not the place to try to read a map and drive at the same time. On my first assault on exit 17, I turned towards the hotel and wound up back on I-90 westbound. After a long detour back, I realized I had to be in the third lane from the left to wind up on the right street and lane. Still endured honking and gestures as I searched for the hotel entrance and then manuvered into the parking garage. A sign or two at the top of the exit would be helpful and much safer for those of us who aren't familiar with the area. Also, we requested a high floor, late check in, and a rollaway bed when we made reservations. Got the first two no problem, but lady got rude about the rollaway and said we had to call the motel to arrange that. All beds were comfortable and room was clean, but handle on shower was broken. Put up with it rather than argue with front desk again. Pool closed at ten so did not get to use it. On plus side, slept soundly and did get requested wake-up call. No traffic noise. 더 보기

This is a convenient location near Newton and Watertown, but is not worth the money or your time if you don't need to be in the immediate vacinity. Crowne Plaza is still in the process of updating this hotel. The fact that they charge you $21 a night for parking is ridiculous, it is not a public parking garage (big signage states as such upon arrival). […] If they own the garage, why can't they just quote parking with the hotel rate to begin with? Pros: -Location, if you need to be near Watertown and Newton Cons: -Road and train noise in room -2 of 3 elevators were out of service during my stay -Can't use pool alone? What kind of rule is that? In general, the hotel is a bit strange where it is situated over the Mass Pike, and clearly they are stuck with the dimensions and layout it was built with. They are doing the best that they can with what they have to work with, but I would avoid this hotel if possible. I will be staying elsewhere next time I need to travel to the Boston area. 더 보기

They had 2 out of 3 elevators broken. Not acceptable.

right off Mass turnpike...went to Boston College to see Duke basketball game awesome friendly staff...very accomodating definately recommend this hotel

Two problems in the room were fixed immediately: the deadbolt didn't work and the mirrored closet doors were off the track. The bath had been remodeled and was very nice. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The only inconvenience was the ac/heat. It could not be controlled; it was hot or nothing. First of all, because I booked through a discount site, they put me right by the elevators The occupants of a nearby room were exceptionally noisy the first night, but the noise of being by the elevators was not actually that bad. The first room they put me in (single king bed) had no hot water in the sink. So they moved me to another room (two doubles). […] Not that big of a deal. But I didn't notice until I was settled in the room that the bathroom reeked of urine. The smell remained the entire stay, even after the cleaning crew was through. One of the sliding closet doors was partially off track. The bed was very comfortable, and the room temperature was individually controlled, which I appreciate. The hotel was "redone" recently, but that just included new carpets, new furniture, a paint job and new sinks. It still has the feeling of a cold-war era tenement, especially being just over the freeway. The listing said it was close to public transport, which I thought would be the T. It's not. The Crowne Plaza Newton is VERY hard to get to. I was in the inner left turn lane and ended up going back South on Mass Turnpike. When I checked in, both the doorman and front desk clerk acknowledged that "almost everyone does that". One would think that the hotel could erect signs to help their travelers. Overall, I have to say I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Although it was clear to me, from the second I stepped into the elevator to go to my room, that this hotel was not in the best condition. The buttons in the elevator had the floor #s upside down. Really? Something so easy to fix on their end, but something so crucial to the hotel visitor..so […] right away I didn't have a great impression. Then I stepped into my hotel room, it was FREEZING. Ok, it is December in Boston - but the heat was not on at ALL until I adjusted the thermostat. So I had to wait a bit until I was comfortable in the room. The room service menu was very limited - but when I got my food, I have to say it was delicious (the salmon and quinoa) and it was a good portion. I was pleasantly surprised by the gym - it was surrounded by windows so I had a nice view of the town (highway mostly), and it was clean. Overall, my stay was pleasant - but it just confuses me why they would not pay more attention to the maintenance of the hotel. 더 보기

Avoid this hotel, This is an old hotel with slight touches done to try to make it seem more upscale with Crowne Plaza name. Hotel is old and low quality, located on top of the Mass Pike and train tracks (can hear traffic fly by from your room). Don't go there, stay downtown.

I had to go to the front desk for the toilet three times. Once is was leaking, once it was only partially flushing and once it was not flushing at all. They did change our room finally. The restaurant gave me a dirty cup for my coffee, wrong order for my wife's food and then they charged wrong prices. They ended up not charging for my wife's food.

Staff is very accomodating and professional. Breakfast price a bit steep, compared to other 4 star locations. Also, Garage parking is tricky: 98% of first floor parking is cordoned off, with no explanation, and to get from garage to hotel is VERY DARK and unfriendly.

Located nicely to school. The hotel was nice and clean, but you can hear the traffic that passes by under the hotel. If you are a light sleeper this would not be the place for you.

Clean room. Pleasant staff. The continental breakfast was fine, but next time we'll skip that and find a Starbucks or a Dunkin Donuts nearby. No one to assist with baggage at the front door. The pillows were like rocks. But well priced and great location for touring Boston colleges over a long weekend.

Good hotel friendly staff, but we did run into a problem when trying to catch a cab - staff told us a cab stand is outside that would have a cab waiting, but we had to wait over 20 minutes and only got a cab at all because we called every cab company possible while waiting. As a result we were late for our appointment.

The location was very difficult to pull in out of traffic. Expensive parking. No Restaraunt deliveries. Noisy - directly above interstate.

The heating unit in the room is very noisy , you could hardly sleep because of the highway noise only to be awakened by the noise of the heating unit. Horrible pillows,dont go there.

The locaqtion is close enough to downtown Boston. However, it is inconvenient in that, the hotel does not have parking and the parking rates are very expensive. The rooms are quite old compared to other hotels in it's range. But the people and service was good.

This long-standing Holiday Inn perched above the Mass Pike was super convenient for getting in and out of Boston's West Side. It was very full due to the recent storms and so service was painfully slow at breakfast. The staff is fine. The parking convenient but pricy. The location can be rather noisy with traffic noise. That said, the price and location […] and reliable brand made it a good value none-the-less. 더 보기

Due to severe Noreaster, area was without power for several days. Hotel restaurant had one bartender working the bar and waiting the entire restaurant. It took us 2 hours to get dinner Sunday evening. He tried to serve us well and discounted meal. it was still frustrating.

Albeit conveniently located for my purposes, the noise level from the Mass Pike, that passes underneath the hotel, is extraordinarily loud and begins in earnest at about 4:00 a.m. White noise does not block out the noise.

Good location for traveling to Boston center by car or T. Very friendly staff. Rooms overlook I-90 but noise was not a problem during my stay.
