The Westin in Ottawa is THE perfect location if you plan on staying downtown Ottawa and nearby the Ottawa market. Naturaly, The Westin's rooms, lobby and all of the hotel are clean, which is caracteristic of all the Westins around the world. The staff is absolutely remarkable and the ammenities are great! The Shoreline Seafood and Steak restaurant located […] in the hotel is very, very good! But what makes The Westin so special is that it's close to virtually everything great Ottawa has to offer! The hotel is linked with the Rideau Centre (Ottawa's preferred shopping mall) and the Ottawa Convention Centre. I was there for business and I had to attend the convention centre. It's very practical when you don't have to take your car (and your jacket!) to attend the convention centre or to go shopping! You are also less than a 5 minute walk to the Ottawa market, where delicious and various types of restaurants, lounges and bars are awaiting you. Of course, you must expect to pay a premium for your hotel room because of the great location of the hotel. However, the premium you pay for your stay will compensate for the money you would normally spend transiting in the city by cab or by bus. In other words, you can save money staying at other hotels, but you would be spending extra money to travel by cab or bus. I recommend The Westin to all travelers, wether it's for business or leisure! 더 보기

My husband asked me to tag along on his business trip. The Westin was the perfect spot: adjacent to Rideau Centre, (I didn't have to wear a coat), so I could shop to my heat's delight. We had a perfectly comfortable room, cushy bed, fine linens, large shower, fine toiletries and very, very quiet - the doors close smoothly so you are not disturbed when […] late party-goers call it a night. Maid service was excellent, "Jenny" was always available to replenish the toiletries and the coffee filters and see that everything in the room was perfect. Not 4 star. Just another hotel that's overpriced. Expected a lot more with the price we were paying. Mediocre room, waiting for elevators even when using service elevators. Dirty rugs on every floor.

I arrived at 7PM on Sunday. The hotel appeared quite pleasant but as soon as I entered my room I was utterly disappointed. The lights did not work and the door did not close properly. Consequently every time I entered or exited the room I had to make sure that the door had closed properly.

This was the 6th hotel I had stayed at in Ottawa since June 2012. It was, initially, my favourite to date. My room (1703) was very beautifully designed and really comfortable to lounge in and relax. However, at sleeping time, I found the ventilation system in both the foyer of the room and bathroom to be quite loud. When I mentioned this in the morning, […] I was told that I should have called them when I could not sleep so they could have replaced a part. I'm not sure that it needed repairs. My sense was that it is always loud. However, I am willing to give them anther chance & see if the next room is quieter. It really is a beautiful hotel with easy access to Rideau Centre mall via the 3rd floor, without having to step outside in the winter weather. Very convenient! And the location is excellent, close to ByWard Market, National Gallery of Canada, etc. I did not access the restaurant, fitness centre or spa. Loved it. Period. We would go back not for Ottawa, but just to stay at the hotel again. Was there for work-related reasons, so we weren't able to fully enjoy as desired.

Overall the hotel is very clean and the staff accomodating. The hotel restaurant/launge is very nice and service excellent. The Valet parking isn't worth it as the Rideau Centre parking is attached and there is an entrance to the hotel from the parking garage .. save yourself $10. We had a exercise room ... it came equipt with a spinning bike, exercise […] ball, dumb bells, yoga mat and instructional videos. They were updating the elevators so we had to use the service elevators in order to get to the lobby without having to wait. The Hotel is located walking distance to the By Ward Market, Parliment Hill, Univerisity of Ottawa and a short distance to Carleton University. 더 보기

We have stayed at the Westin before in other cities and were surprised this one in Ottawa was not the same standard as others....self parking was a night mare to find!! The beds were comfortable and room was clean ...but something about the hotels was just not up to Westin standards...??

Very clean and comfortable. Disappointed wi-fi is an additional charge. Can't be the location. Recommend using the parking valet.

The Westin Ottawa is located in the heart of all that Ottawa has to offer. It's 2 blocks away from Parliament Hill, the Byward Market, the National Art Centre and more. Location-wise, you could not ask for a more convenient place. While we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Westin, the hotel is doing maintenance work on its elevators, which means long, […] long waits for an elevator. Once they resolve this, things will be better. However, in the meantime, staff are trying to help and direct patrons to the housekeeping elevators to reduce wait times and line-ups. We had a lovely stay at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Their famous Heavenly Beds are famous for a reason. It was the best sleep I've had in a long time! 더 보기

The staff was extrememly helpful and courteous. I do however have 2 small irritants: 1. We were late starting breakfast, and chose the buffet - however all the hot foods had been removed and so we had a cold meal - delicious, but we were charged the full buffet price which seems quite unreasonable. 2. One of the better WESTINs that we have been in so far. Very good bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location if you are planning on doing more walking than driving (which is better to view the city anyways). Bit costly on the parking, but that is with every city.

They had apparently run out of bath towels... We were asked to call the front desk in the morning and some fresh ones would be brought up???? On the hottest night of the summer, this was not good, if we all wanted to take a shower. Efore and after our wedding reception. Fortunately, a chamber maid was on the floor and gave us extra towels. The elevators […] were extremely slow, apparently some were in repair or being upgraded. Again, at the busiest time of the year, this should have been planned in advance to not have this 'upgrade' at the peak tourist season. 더 보기

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be treated special. Had a couple of hiccups but they were great at fixing everything. One of the best hotels out there. Thanks everyone at westin, you are the friendliest people I have ever met.

I love Westins in general, and this hotel is in a great location, and overall comfortable... BUT...when I got there, there was a nice big clump of hair in the shower drain--clearly visible. Missing an obvious detail like that makes me wonder about which inapparent details were also missed. Note this was in a Premium Room on the top floor.

For the price we paid per night we did not get a room which justified the cost. We had a corner room which was wheelchair accessible with the result the bathroom was the most inconvenient we had ever experienced. There was no counter space at all so we had to take our toiletries in and out of the bedroom all the time. Also, for a hotel of that calibre […] I think they could afford to provide glass tumblers instead of plastic ones. We would never have paid the price asked for a room of that kind. 더 보기

The written description of the room was a bit misleading. The deluxe king did not come with a bath tub, nor was there an i pod dock in the room. Having said hat the view was amazing and the staff were great. So while I was a bit disappointed it was still a great stay.

Overall, it is a very good hotel. The service was as expected for this class of hotel and nightly rates. Room was clean, spacious, and adequately decorated. The hotel restaurant/bar was quite good. I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Ottawa.

I was in town for the JUNO Awards so it was a hectic time in the hotel. However, the staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to help. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is lots of useful furniture - despite it being only a standard room.

I paid for a premium room for 2 of my staff so they can enjoy skating on the Rideau as well as sleeping in luxury and then having breakfast at the Marche in the Rideau centre with direct access from the hotel. They throughly enjoyed their stay. Thank you Westin.

open and spacious hotel at a great location - staff are friendly and helpful - our room was pleasant and we had a wonderful view of the parliment buildings and the Ottawa River - buffet breakfast was excellent

I had high expectations, I grew up in Ottawa and always admired the Westin so when it came to for me to need a hotel there for a visit it was the 1st hotel that came to mind. It is in the perfect location and my room was nice but here are a list of what detracted from my experience: - 2 of the 4 elevators did not work, the elevator was full so often […] had to wait 20 minutes just to get on one to leave my floor - A drunk man started banging on my door at 2am yelling and screaming - The westin is the ONLY hotel I know of that charges for internet, that is crazy! - I could not get through to room service at 10pm so I gave up and did not bother Reception was friendly and apologetic but if the Westin wants to remain a 5 star hotel, something has to change. 더 보기

Lots in the surounding area , Byward Market fresh bagels, Empire Steak house Perfect! Shopping. Parliment buildings everything 5 to 10min walk. Would go back in a heartbeat!

It was a good stay. although i booked a premier room asking for kingbed but it was not available! and my father forgot his medication bag in the drawer. when i called the hotel at the same day, they told me that they checked everywhere and couldn't find it!! which is weird.
