A great getaway

We stayed at this hotel due to my son's conference was here. We decided to have a weekend just for two. We got a room with a "balcony". The area was dirty and about as big as a bathtub,maybe. We were above a roof to another building and the airconditioner was loud. Even if we had wanted there was no way to enjoy this balcony. Quiet surroundings even with a high school band spending the night. Reasonably close to good variety of restraurants and name stores. Wish the Metra line was closer to take advantage of ease of getting into the City.

Our stay was very pleasant. We will most definitely return on our next trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The room was not worth the price. The walls have not had paint since it was built. When I woke up and wanted my privacy, my toliet was not working. If you stay there don't stay in room TWO SIX SEVEN!!!!!!

Hotel was clean and staff was curtious. Room was clean and confortable as well. Morning buffet was adaquet but could have had a few more offerings. Pool was just a little cloudy. Hot tub was fine. I would recommend for the price we paid.

Bellmen and doormen will not help you unload your car or help you with your luggage. They ...on several occasions just let you carry your own bags and you have to go find a luggage cart yourself. We stayed here for Thanksgiving while visiting family. Very friendly staff. We requested joining rooms but they didn't have any available. However, our rooms were right next to each other. Accros the street from the Oak Brook Mall. Very convenient. Very nice hotel.

The price and location of the hotel could not be beat. The whole family was able to stay for a very reasonable price and the fitness center was excellent to burn off the holiday turkey. The kids liked the pool, but the hot tub was broken. The front desk staff was very friendly and we had noticed our room was missing a coffee maker and it was at our […] door in less than 5 minutes. Stayed with my three children for Saturday night stay. The hotel was crowded and appeared to not have enough employees. The towels were out at the pool more than when they were actually there. Clalled for more towels and 2 hours later a man brings down 5 towels, even though the pool is full.

Just overpriced. Too much money. Bed not that comfortable.

Upon check-in the hotel staff would not honor the breakfast buffet which was included with the price paid on hotels.com. She indicated that her system did not show it was included and therefore could not honor unless proof was PRINTED and furnished. Luckily we had access to our email accounts and saved the confirmations from hotels.com. Once I gave […] her the info she studied it as if I re-created the confirmation. In the end she honored it but it was a huge inconvenience at midnight. Overall the hotel was clean but the bathroom is not ergonomically friendly. Bath tub was very slick, and my gal fell strinking her head. Nothing in the tub to prevent slipping. Other than that, it was a very nice experience.

Our family of 4 stayed at the DoubleTree in Oakbrook while on a 5 day vacation to Chicago in early June. While the hotel seemed to be a haven for the business traveler, it was also a great place for our little family to come back to every evening. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I came to Chicago to a wedding and decided to spend the night at the Double Tree Hotel Chicago Brookfield. While pulling into the parking lot someone had a car breakdown and wanted me to give them a jump start. I'm always willing to help someone, but given the circumstances of being from out of town I was cautious. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean, the staff is knowledgeable and courteous, a real person answers the telephone, plus the cookies are YUMMY!

Needs some attention. Our first room had a dirty bathroom with ants, our second room was clean except for the pair of dirty socks on the floor. Both were cleaning crew issues and do not tell the whole story. The hotel was nice overall and the staff was exceptional(not including housekeeping).

Excellent hotel in Oak Brook located within walking distance to the mall and restaurants. I had a business meeting nearby, but enjoyed to spend leisure time walking around the beautiful grounds at the mall

AC was not functioning properly, shower is not very efficient. The hotel floor was very noisy(because of noisy guests) and there was not security or staff to take care.

I was skeptical of this hotel, considering the room rate was significantly lower than what I expected to pay. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The staff was so patient giving us directions to our destinations during our stay, the rooms were good sized, clean, and comfortable. Great Room, room was nicer than expected - lobby was pretty....clientele was a little weird - bar was awful, lots of weirdos in there...wasn't sure if locals or people staying there but very creepy and smelling guys (lots of cologne)! I was a bit dissappointed with the hotel condition. The wall and floor coverings and furniture/bedding were worn and outdated. Also when I called for a shuttle ride from the metra station I was told they don't go over 5 miles, by the taxi ride it was less than 5 miles away. Pleased to see how a 30+ year old hotel in Oakbrook has been very nicely updated. My only beef is that there was no lotion!!
