My stay was very satisfactory

I was very disappointed with our stay. We were talked into upgrading for $45 to have a larger room. The layout of the room was still not large and even had the bathroom opening straight into the TV and first double bed instead of entrance hallway. There is no vent in the bathroom to help steam from the shower exit which builds up quickly because the […] ceiling is so low (can barely drape a towel over the shower curtain). Of course the is only an issue when there actually was hot water which wasn't every shower. Also, don't expect a drinking glass in your room. Nope, the Marriott chooses to give you very small plastic disposable cups that are basically useless. Ordering a pizza, the phone rang at least 15-20 times before someone answered transferring me with another long period of ringing which resulted in a transfer back to the first recipient who then transferred me again. And one last thing, don't bother to put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door because the cleaning service will knock anyway. To end, the number one thing that will keep me from going back is that the front desk manager had nothing to say but sorry with an "oh well" attitude. BTW, this is the very first time I have ever complained about a hotel and I wouldn't have even done this had I not been sent the online request for feedback. Very good overall. Great location. Check out was a bit of a hassle because the on screen check out service did not work. Parking efficiency could use improving but I guess that's because of the location.

Overall, it was a very nice stay. We travel to N.O. at least once a year and this was our first stay at the Marriott - New Orleans. Until our final check-out I would have strongly recommended this location to any/all; however we discovered that the valet damaged our vehicle... and, the valet company has denied responsibility and will not pay for the […] repair. Now, the damage was 'minor,' but the fact that the valet cleaned the damage and placed the damage pieces behind my front seats was enough of an action to motivate me to respond on here RE: this matter. This is the first review I've ever given, and again... the Marriott - New Orleans was great; however the valet service alone may prevent me ever returning... sad. 더 보기

Pros:Nice, clean hotel very good location, CONS: very small bathroom, not enough towels, pool closes early very slow and over priced valet parking!

It's a large hotel and it's tired. The place just feels dingy and not quite up to par. It didn't help to have a room that was not tidy. Cigarette burns/stains on the carpet. The bathroom counter was sticky . Hotel parking was a mess. Twice I had to wait 40 minutes to get my car. The second time the attendants told me - several times - that the car was […] "minutes away" and finally some one came out to tell me that couldn't find my keys. I was a bit frustrated and probably could have been "easier going" about it - but I was pretty direct (without being emotional) that this was the second time and that I thought their service was lacking. This guy (I think he was some kind of manager) could have been more understanding. But he had such an attitude that I got upset. Bad for me to do that but, then again, I'm the customer. Kind and understanding words would have gone a long way. The hotel was accommodating in allowing me a very late check out and I appreciate that. Frankly, I'm a regular Marriott customer but I wouldn't stay here again. 더 보기

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room cleaned every day. Upgraded to concierge level when checking in and had a really delicious breakfast every day - evening "snacks" were also fabulous. Lots of families up there for the cost benefit to upgrade and feed all for one price...crowded in the morning - may be a downside for some. I even saw one mom get half […] a loaf of bread and make about 6 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and bag them for lunch? later for her family...not too cool. Older hotel, so small bathroom - but if you've stayed in Europe or NYC, no big deal. Couldn't call ahead for valet parking, rather get in line and wait your turn while waiting outside...that was the only downside i can think of :(( 더 보기

First time to check in a marriot hotel and disappointed that the room does not have free wi-fi,did not have a mini-ref and microwave.

the only bad things i could say was that the room wasn't ready until almost 5:00 p.m. also paid extra for room with view and the view wasn't as nice as what the picture that was advertised. wouldn't advise paying extra for this upgrade. very dissatisfied about the view!!!

My friends and I found this hotel to be wonderfully located in the French Quarter. The view from the 25th floor was great and we were able to watch the incoming storm settle on the city. We also watched the barges sail on the river. I will definetly keep the Marriot in mind next time I go the Big Easy. :)

Great location, real nice hotel, decent room service great stay.

Upon arrival we were told there was no parking available and we would have to park at another garage. Not sure but I would have thought there was at least one space per room. The hotel did give us a $40 voucher to use at the hotel but it did not cover our $80 off site parking.

The room was very small for a hotel of this quality. The hallways and room smelled musty. Needed to run the air conditioner a little chilly to keep the air clear. The staff however were great and definitely what you would expect from a hotel of this quality.

I've only stayed twice but both times were amazing. The beds are so comfortable and getting upgrades are simple and worth it...can't wait til the next stay.

I had a wonderful cozy stay. i would definitely reccommend this motel to all. The ease of valet parking was handy too. i will have to say that the drinks in the bar downstairs were very expensive and too strong.

Rooms were small-even the doorways. I can't believe they charge $33 plus tax per day to park your car there as a registered guest!

We stayed on our honeymoon and everything was wonderful we have trouble finding a negative but if we did we would say the room service food was not good at all.

Couldn't of asked for a better time, better stay...except...The shower wasn't great..but everything else great....The huge wall screen to watch the game downstairs was great!

The onlyh problem was parking as I had to park some 4 blocks away and being unable to walk as I am handicapped created a major problem for me. Hanicapped! should always be able to park at the hotel. Room service did not pick up the phone, repeatedly. One of our rooms was not ready at check in time of 3; had to wait until 530. No maid service; had to ask for clean towels. New Orleans is a really fun town; don't let this place spoil your vacation.

It was a nice hotel and the service was decent. The only problems I had with them was we had three people in our party. We had to request a rollaway bed and our room was already tight. I felt we should have been offered a room with a couch bed or something. Also, their bathroom had no ventilation. Other than that the stay was good.

My only problem with the hotel was that the room was too small and there was neither a refrigerator or microwave in the room. I have some medication that I need to take everynight before bed and it needs to refrigerated. However I did ask the staff about this and they bought us up a small one at no extra charge, but microwaves were not available, also […] the only internet service was in the lobby area and again the small rooming quarters made us feel a little cluster-phobic and therefore the need to be outdoors a lot more and longer then we would have liked on some days, but everything else was great. The room was great. Nice and clean, but the mattress was extremely wore out. Definitely in need of a new one, but it still slept good. Just a little "lumpy." Overall a first class hotel. Just be prepared for the parking charges and the incidental charges at time of check in. They both surprised me.

Super convenient French Quarter location. I read reviews while booking so made sure to call ahead for a double bed. Room was satisfactorily clean. Bottled water was $4 a bottle, must have had gold sprinkles :) - bought more from the CVS across the street. The staff is super helpful if you make the effort to ask or I would not have known about the free […] bag storage the day of checkout. I was amused to hear a woman either in the room above or next to us having sex for over 45 minutes - kudos to her but not conducive to everyone else trying to sleep. Our opinion of our stay was generally positive except for every time we entered our room. We were always greeted by an odd mustiness that we suspect was in the carpet. We weren't pleased with the lack of a fan in the bathroom. The shower head should be higher than six feet as well. I will never stay there again. The room I booked was not the room I was given. I asked for a non smoking room and the odor in the room activated the bellmans' allergies. I asked for a king and did not realize that I was given a double until I opened the door to the room. When I complained I was told they had nothing else available.

From start to finish this hotel was a tourist trap rip off. Making you pay for parking not so bad, but then having to pay the guy to park it, and to retrieve it, and to find that it was driven without care, things in car moved as if it were searched through. Oh bags to room, they have to take those of course for which yes you have to pay again, and […] leave them unattended until they arrive in your room, then 12 hours later we have to pay for it all again on the way out just smashing thank you so much.. 더 보기

Was here for the long Thanksgiving holiday with a friend. Did not have any complaints about the hotel itself. Service was comparable to what I would expect from a Marriott elsewhere.

This is the perfect location for walking around the French Quarter or taking the street car down St Charles street. Very close to other hotels so my conference was in the Sheraton but this was right across the street so it was a great alternative to a full conference hotel.

What a pleasure to stay at this beautiful hotel, Highly recommended to all looking for a super elegant hotel at an affordable price.

Great location. But, if you drive, parking is $33 per night and it takes up to 30 min to get your car.

This hotel is in poor condition for a Marriott. Poor hot water, wrong room type, one person at front desk midday with a long line.
