I have vast experience in staying at various hotels surrounding the Cedar Point area. Having stayed at several different chains, including Knights Inn, Quality Inn, America's Best Value and a few others, I can honestly state one fact...they are all about the same. I cannot speak for the hotel rooms included in the several water parks in the area, but […] most others are about the same quality. There are simply no four or five star hotels in the area. But, if you are looking for somewhere to simply sleep after a long day at Cedar Point then I would recommend America's Best Value. Service at the front desk when he checked in was good and the attendant was very friendly. Honestly, the room had an unidentified odor when we walked in, which mysteriously seemed to disappear in approximately ten minutes. The toilet, and I'll try to be discreet, appeared to have a very strong odor indicating that it had recently been used, but not by us and we didn't check in until midnight. That odor fortunately went away after a couple of flushes. Beside that we didn't have any issues with the hotel and I would stay there again. 더 보기

The hotel was actually pretty clean. Perfect for a night stay after spending all day at Cedar Point. For the low cost of the hotel, it is definitely a good pick! Very conveniently located to anything you may need, including Cedar Point!

After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect but will admit I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was very nice and the gentleman at the front desk was very accomidating when we requested more pillows. He even brought them to the room so I wouldn't have to wait in the lobby. Check out was 11:oo a.m. but asked if we could check out […] at 12:00 after a very long day at Cedar Point. To my surprise they assured me it would be no problem. I would not recommed this hotel to anybody. We had to switch rooms twice beds weren't clean, stains on the sheets, bathrooms werent clean, floors were not vaccumed. I felt very dirty and was very disappointed in our stay.

We were up to Sandusky Ohio for a fishing trip with some friends and were nOt able to book a hotel til 3 nights before to make sure all plans were finialised and we found this one it was great only 20 mins away from docks and also very clean we arrived late and left early so it was a very nice place to stay for the price. The only complaint I would […] have is the hall ways smelled as if they were smoked in other wise room was clean and didn't smell the smoke at all. We were very please able to get a good nIghts sleep and well rested for our trip the next day. Thank you 더 보기

would stay there again next time i go to cedar point

I would have to say this was one of the worst hotels that I have ever been to. The rooms were not well maintained and were very dirty. My two year old continuously walked around thre room pointing out all of the bugs. Spiders, dead beetles, mosquitos...you name it and you could find it in the room dead or alive. The carpet was so filthy, we didn't even […] want to leave our shoes on the floor! Luckily we didn't find any bed bugs, but thankfully we only needed to sleep. The TV remote didn't work, and I asked for a crib when I booked the room, however I never got one. When I Iochecked in. I inquired about a crib and the receptionist who was less than helpful, said she was "to busy at the moment to check, but she would take care of out later". very noisy doors banging all night kids running the halls yelling not a place to get any rest only had about 2 hours of sleep the whole night

This hotel was great to use to sleep in as long as you dont have to use the bathroom for anything. The tolit was full of hair and when we lifted the tolit seat there was a natsy hair on the tolit seat. There was hair in the sink and tub. In the morning when I got up to take a shower I realized there was no shower head and there was no way anyone could […] take a shower in there. I told the front desk they were going to give me another room to take a shower in but I was already dressed. Thank god we were just going home. I told her about all the hair in the bathroom she said that she would have the manger call me to make it right and it has been 4 days and still no phone call. 더 보기

The location to Cedar Point was great! You can't beat the price, even over the busy Labor Day Weekend. It is a great place to lay your head and the room was clean. No breakfast to speak off, but overall I would stay again. It served it's purpose. Better than some of the high priced hotels I've stayed at around Cedar Point.

Not bad for the money. It was convenient to cedar point. Lots of good restaurants around. The only thing was the carpets in the room are not that clean but we only slept and showered so I guess it served our family's purpose to sleep and shower then on the go all day....We had a blast on our trip thanks

Good place because it is close to Cedar Point. Nice but would only us it as an overnight stay. Children had a foot ball game in the hall way all night, that was the only thing to complaine about.

The person who checked me in never told housekeeping I needed a roll-a-away even though I was told there would be one in my room by evening. I then was charged for it because the person forgot to ask for my credit card. The room was clean in all appearances but it smelled terrible. My family and I stayed here for a trip to Cedar Point. I know its a value priced hotel and you get what you pay for but....our room smelled musty, we had no remote for the tv, our room keys didn't work we had to keep going to the front desk to get them reactivated, the towels are like sandpaper, 1 of our beds was not made 1 day and on the 2nd day we […] had no towels, so at 10:30 at night after a full day at Cedar Point I had to go to the front desk to get towels. The lobby was great it made the hotel look very nice, however that look did not carry into the rooms. The rooms were ok they were not super clean but for a room on a budget it was ok. The bathrooms needed updating. The breakfast was great. The outside pool was much cleaner than the inside pool. For an older hotel it was well maintained. The kids loved the pool. The staff was friendly & eventhough the pool closed at midnight they didn't come out & hassle you if you were well behaved. The location to Cedar Point was great & lots of stores & restaurants within walking distance.Great for the price!

The only thing I have to say about this hotel is that they forgot toilet paper in our room and I never noticed it till I sat down! The husband ran and got some from the front desk and that was taken care of that easy.. No in room phones so make sure you know the phone number of the front desk. The beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly , lots […] of helpful maps , we never did get to eat in RoadHouse dinner ..Everything around us and that was a great thing.. Descent hotel for the price. Have no complaints!

After reading the reviews, and after staying at other hotels in Sandusky area, I was expecting much less from this hotel. I was pleasantly suprised. It was clean and roomy. In a great location, next to a Walmart, many chain restaurants, a nice restaurant/bar attached to this too. Any issues were minor. Remote control for TV didn't work, but buttons […] on front of TV did. Safe didn't work cuz someone had locked it prior. Shower was nice with an adjustable head and good stream. 더 보기

the rooms where big and the bathroom was clean, but it looked like the bathroom need some work. the bedding was old and the top blanket i dont think ever gets changed, cause i had seen the maid cart and and only saw sheets. i really didnt feel safe our room, i dotn know why but we just didnt feel safe

The location of the hotel was great and the price was good! However, the staff was really pretty crabby and the service was really questionable--maid service didn't even empty the trash! No air conditioning in the restaurant.

That just about sums it up. The staff was rude, the place was dirty, but at least it was located in a run down neighborhood. :( the bathroom door has been painted so many times, it was nearly impossible to get it open. Unfortunately all the other places around there were booked, so my options were limited. Thankfully it was only for one day.

Hotel service was horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. When I got there at 2pm they gave me the wrong room. I reserved a King they gave me 2 doubles. Went back down and told the lady at the front desk. Who, gave me a big attitude. She realized they messed up and said they didn't have any Kings available until after 3pm. We left and came back […] about 4 mins after 3pm. When we came back she gave us another room. I opened the door and it was completely trashed and wasn't cleaned at all. I went back down to tell her, as well as two other couples that had the same issue as me. She came back upstairs with us to check the rooms and told the housekeepers that were cleaning up there. The housekeepers didn't clean our rooms first, even though we were all sittin in the hallway waiting for our rooms. They continued to clean the rooms that noone needed. We waited for a 1/2 hr and they still hadn't started our rooms. We went back down to the front desk and they gave us new rooms again. This time the room was fine. Except for the fact that the grout in the tub was completely gross and black, the tub leaked, and the bed cover looked like it never had been washed. We took it off the bed and didn't even you it. Then when we called downstairs to get a blanketand extra pillow, the guy at the front desk gave me an attitude and said he would try to find me some...it took him another 1/2 hr to bring them up. Worst experience of my life. No customer service priority. Just completely horrible. 더 보기

When I first walked in I already noticed that it didn't smell to great. It was as if the AC was not fully on so it was a bit musty. The room AC worked perfectly but the cleanliness was a bit different. First thing I noticed was that the comforter had a nice big hole in it. It's a good hotel- great location, good pool. The ice machine didn't really work and there was a used towel in our bathroom it was a pretty good experience though.

Had a very nice stay. Hotel is close to all the attractions and the room itself was very clean. Would definately stay here again.

we had no pillow cases on our pillows when we arrived. had to ask for some.continental breakfast consisted of black coffee.that was it.nothing else.not even creamer.if looking here,i suggest you keep looking.

When we first arrived, we were not given the correct key. We opened the door to a dirty room. I went back to the front desk and was "accused" of already staying in the room. I was asked, "How did you get the key?" I said, "YOU JUST GAVE IT TO ME!!!" The front desk clerk was rude. She made us feel that it was our fault for her mistake for assigning us […] to the wrong room. THEN...our toilet was clogged and I had to send my daughter down for a plunger; the desk clerk would not send anyone up to help. Our room was NOT cleaned for the ENTIRE three day visit. The TV in the room was broken, the front desk was slow to respond to our needs and did not answer the phone a lot of the time. The sheets on the bed were torn and stained. The bathroom had mold around the tub. The water temp randomly changed during your shower and there was a bug in the room. Our stay was very disappointing , we were glad to leave.

I wanted to find a decent hotel with reasonable prices and amenities. The price was great but the service and room conditions could use some work. If you're looking for a low-priced hotel, in a convenient location, close to Cedar Point, this is not a bad choice if you can overlook some service and housekeeping issues. We reserved three rooms because […] we had a large party. We arrived one hour before check-in and two of the three rooms was available since the maids were running a little behind. After about an hour, the third room became available. When we opened the door to the third room, we were surprised to walk in on another family. We were shocked and angry. They were just angry. After another 10 minutes, we got an empty room. Surprisingly, later in the day, we heard the same thing happened to another family just one door down from us. Later that day a storm rolled in and water poured in through the ceiling of one room. The remote control to the TV was missing in the other room. And the telephone did not work in the third room. The bathroom had some signs of previous occupancy- you can use your imagination. The AC was stuck on "arctic" in one room. When we went to turn it down, a plume of smoke came out of the unit and a smoky smell was present during the duration of our stay. 더 보기

Terrible staff....very understaffed - - room was not clean when given to us....2nd night we were there no room service was given....had to ask several times for maid to come to our room......had to wait later than check in time.....no apologies or sorrys were given for the poor treatment that was given to us.......called months in advance and was told […] our group would all be right next to each other...was told they could block off a section of rooms so we were all close....we were at complete opposite sides of the hotel......just not a good experience...AT ALL :( 더 보기

It was a decent cheap hotel room. The room was fairly clean, but there was cigerette burn holes in the blankets. The people who worked there were friendly.

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel.The room was not clean, towels were dirty and the bathroom was dirty.Our room flooded from rains coming in through the ceiling.I called the front desk and they told me it would stop raining soon.I demanded another room.Finally got into a new room to discover that the toilet did not work. A repair […] guy showed up 1 hour later and fixed it in about 2 hours. I reserved 6 rooms to be adjacent to each other for a car club event. We were spread all over the hotel.One couple had a man walk into their room while the wife was undressing.This happened 3 times to them during their stay.Another couple walked into their room and found pizza boxes and dirty linens all over the floor . The customer service was the worst I have ever encountered.The only explanation we were given for all the issues was , "It's human error". This was the perfect location for access to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed our stay & will definitely consider staying again.

This is a reasonably priced and reasonably good hotel, reasonably clean, good location.

Stayed at the hotel Friday thru Sunday, mainly to visit Cedar Point and the lake. Checking in, the woman at the front desk was very nice and personable. After accidently locking ourselves out of the hotel room later in he night, she seemed to be slightly irritated to make another key, but nothing that couldn't be overlooked. Location was great, only […] minutes from Cedar Point, wal-mart located right across the street as well as a Sonic. Bar and Restr. inside hotel, very nice and welcoming. Maintenance was fair, could not use the safe inside the room, but everything else appeared to be well kept. Everything immediately seemed clean, no complaints until happened to glance behind the nightstand between the two beds to see crayons, used paper towels, and various other items that showed lack of detailed cleaning in the room for quite some time. If staying for a short time, and don't plan on spending alot of time in the hotel, this is a great value! 더 보기

it was a nice hotel for the area it was in. The only thing they need for the rooms are mini fridges.

the room was sorta dirty and also the bathroom didnt look clean there was no toilet paper on the roll and giant hairs came out of the towel I was using YUCK

No frills hotel that is not too far away from Cedar Point. Was there for 3 nights and ran into no issues with the room. Close to Walmart and Sonic is right next door.
