"정말 편한 출장이었습니다."
2013년01월30일, Hotels.com 고객 이용 후기사실 별 3개에 4점 초반대의 평가라 근처의 호텔로 갈까 고민도 했는데.. 출장 나온 곳과 거리도 가깝고 wifi/ 조식까지 되서 그냥 결정했습니다. 12박을 예약하고 앞으로 3일정도 남은 상태인데.. 정말 안락하고 좋네요.. 물론 호텔 수준의 시설은 아니어도 작지만 편한 헬스장도 있고 저녁 식사 (약간의 간식수준)도 제공하고.. 혹시 또 이쪽에 출장나오면 그때도 이곳으로 할 생각입니다

Hotel check-in was easy and the staff at the desk were amazing. The rooms were clean but I was shocked that the tv was so out dated. The mini bar was not plugged in everything was hot. The hotel was as good as expected after reading the reviews. "Great hotel if....."
I'm not sure why I keep doing this to us. As a native Houstonian, I know what the traffic is like anywhere in the Galleria vicinity. Thought I was being smart getting a hotel a little further down the feeder from westheimer, but it didn't change anything. Still a pain to get out at any time there's daylight. Once the sun sets things calm down a lot […] and the place is easily accessible. That being said, this hotel is immaculate. Rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, and the inside of the building is very nice. My only complaint about the room is lack of a proper closet. Almost any hotel has one. This one, at least the room we were in, only had a small opening in the tv stand to hang clothes in. Normally this doesn't bother me, but I had a suit that had to be crammed into this small space. I had a very nice stay at the Royal Sonesta. The room was comfortable and the service was wonderful. During my stay I was able to use the workout room and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were very nice with towels, water and fruit in the workout room and delicious eggs benedict with fresh avacado for breakfast. We stayed 1 night during Spring Break. We caught a Rocket games, shopped at the Galleria Mall, and went to the Space Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. "Business trip"
Hotel was nice and room was a standard size room. Other than that service could have been much better. When I booked this hotel, it came with free parking and free breakfast buffet. Person at the front desk forgot to give us our free breakfast coupons at check in and they tried to bill us for the breakfast. Service in the restaurant for the buffet was […] horrible as well. Asked for coffee and tomato juice and they finally brought them half way thru the meal. Also, when checking out, they tried to bill us for parking, again which was supposed to be free. If all this is in the computer, then they should get it right the first time. "Nice room and facilities, buffet not so good"
Nice hotel. The breakfast buffet looks better than it tastes though if you elect to go for the hot food. Its not hot. I was generally the first person in at 6:30 am, and the eggs, bacon and sausage were all cold. The eggs were very watery. Needless to say I went with yogurt and bagels for the remainder of the days. "Great couples retreat or business location."

"4-star paradox"
The problem with 4-star hotels is that, while they have amenities they usually cost extra. The parking is extra, the wi-fi is extra, the breakfast is extra. Thus if you get a discount on the room on a discount site, you don't really get a 4-star experience, you get a 3-star hotel with extremely smiley service (usually telling you that your room rate […] doesn't include something). Based on this experience, I'm tempted to go with the 3-star hotels that include all of those amenities with the room rate instead of the nicely appointed up-charging Sonesta. Sonesta did have nice rooms, a topless soap/lotion set, and a decent exercise room complete with free weights, stairmasters and and a loud middle-aged grunter, so I was happy with the stay.
