I have stayed in this motel 4-5 times and have been lukewarm about it..This time was great. The difference was simply feeling welcomed by the people running the desk. The location has always been fantastic, the room clean and comfortable. KEEP these people, they smile and say hello.

over all every thing was great the room was clean . The staff was helpful and friendly I enjoy the veiw of the lake from my own little balcony . Evey place we wanted to go was easy to get to . The hotel could use a little update, but next time I will booked this hotel

We checked out. The place was run down and dirty. My sister was given two nasty rooms before we all decided we. Just couldn't stay there. We moved to another hotel which was clean and bright. The staff was uninterested in the fact that we were unhappy and moving out. Go to the Baymont instead.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. it is really nice but the beds are hard. I wish they would get new beds. The hotel is really great for the price. It is on the lake and has a great view.

The location was good. The road noise was aweful. The beds were very uncomfortable and the entire hotel seemed old and outdated. Over all I felt it was overpriced. I was pretty disappointed.

Loved location will stay again. Attitude of employees needs adjusting. Only one friendly face at front desk (male) out of three

I stayed at the Clarion Resort on the Lake from 8-26-11 thru 8-29-11. The front desk attendant greeted my party with a smile which was nice. However, upon entering the room the beds were smaller than expected and they looked like a 5 year old had made them up. The refrigerator was not working and the microwave was dirty. Hotel staff was friendly when we checked in, but after we checked out and I thought I left something behind in the room, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get the house keeping staff to return my call and girl at the front desk -" manager on duty" -was terrible to me. Hotel is a little drab, rooms kinda crummy, definitely does not stand up to the newer holiday […] inns, hilton garden inns, and other budget chains that have "refreshed" their image and rooms recently. Location is a little sketchy...right next to the waffle house...maybe it is just my inner Boston snob! About 7 miles away from down town Hot Springs, which is much nicer than the Lake Hamilton area. The front desk clerk was a rude and useless girl who thought way too much of herself so I started in on a sour note. The hotel was also much older than I imagined but it was clean and nice. I had a super sweet lady in the on-site cafe wait on me 2 meals a day for most of 4 days. Food was excellent in cafe. We really enjoyed our stay at the resort ! It was a beautiful hotel in a great location !

For the price they could of had breakfast. Rooms were ok but beds were small. It was nice to be on the lake though.

Service at the front desk was really rude. I felt uncomfortable asking for anything.

Good location for us and grandchildren. Furnishings older. Staff helpful but not warm and welcoming in most cases. Great for lake activities as we rented boat just across the street.

This hotel is in the finishing stages of a major renovation. I was very happy with the room, the comfort of the bed, the balcony and the restaurants close by.

I was very impressed with the concern of the manager for the hotel guests during a time of very stormy weather. For hours we were under a tornado warning. The manager was constantly monitoring the weather on the radio/TV as well as visually. He had instructed the desk clerk on procedures if indeed a tornado was coming toward us. I was so let down by the disrespectful attidtude by the front staff when we checked in. All she said was asking my family name and "Elevaters behind me", staring at her computer and pointing her back with a pen. I just couldn't believe how she could treat the hotel customers like we were just an bothersome work or something. After such reception I felt […] it was ridiculous to have paid relatively higher price compared to other hotels in the area, and I just wanted to leave as soon as morning came. Reception is where customers' first impression is formed and depending on that the stay can be good and bad. Maybe the hotel as a whole may not have been so bad but I wasn't happy at all. 더 보기

Hotel recently remodeled old but clean and comfortable complete with boat ramp and mooring right in the parking lot for your boat. wheelchair accessible room was great except toilet could be taller for more severe weaker persons. very nice place to spend a few days during racing season...10 minutes from the track and just a couple of minutes from all the restaurants!!!

Nice older Resort clean rooms would stay again

The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly. The area was very nice (road construction around it was a bit of a pain) with plenty to do in close proximity. I. Would stay again.

I've stayed at this hotel before so I knew what to expect. The hotel is old and in need of a remodel. The room and bedding were clean, but the bath tub wouldn't drain (maint. fixed it) and the door knob on the bathroom door was about to fall off. The pool overlooking the lake is the best feature of this hotel, if it weren't for that this hotel wouldn't […] be worth the price. The hotel was really nice but the front desk clerk was not friendly.

We were really surprised how nice this property was since it is an older hotel, but the room had been totally updated and was very nice. We had a wonderful view of the lake and were able to watch the sunset from our balcony. The only drawback was no continental breakfast and our refrigerator was not working in our room, but since just one night that […] wasn't a major issue for us. When the description says "Partial view of the lake," it means partial view. We were lucky to be on the 4th floor and see over the volleyball court and wall. However, seeing just a little of the lake is better than the other side overlooking the parking lot and the road. My wife and 2 daughters were in Hot Springs for the RingRulers Fights and the hotels that were close to the convention center were either very expensive or very outdated. The Clarion was a short drive away, but the girls loved the pool and it was right on the lake. Very clean and very friendly staff at the desk. We will stay there again.

If looking at a parking lot across to a Waffle House is your idea of a resort this is the hotel for you. Plus this hotel is 7 miles from historic Hot Springs,our destination. Staff couldn't even provide us with a cork screw. Avoid.

This hotel/resort is perfect for your money. You will not be disappointed. It may not offer a cont. brkfst but does that really matter when it comes to the excellent svc. with a staff that will go out of their way to make your stay great.

Our family of 5 loves it here at the Clarion. There may not be a continental breakfast but that doesn't matter when you compare the service. The staff has been super friendly and has gone out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and the pool next to the lake was a great way to unwind after a long day of walking. I will book here anytime I am in Hot Springs. As a side note, if you are visiting Magic Springs, call to make sure the rides are open. Everything in the water park was open but the other side only had 2 rides […] open with the exception of the kiddie rides. My children are 15 and 13 so they were only able to ride 2 of the rides. We were very satisfied with the room, the balcony was nice also, the weekest part was the restraunt, but it was ok.
