I stay at this hotel 5 or 10 nights a year. I think it one of the best, if not the best option in DT Athens. FREE PARKING ($15 at the Hilton Garden) then you can walk all the DT restaurants and coffee shops. Try to stay in the North Tower. This is usually where you will be if you book a king room.

The hotel stay was very, very good and staff surpassed it all.

This hotel was very nice for the price, the room was small, but it was very comfortable, and opt for the breakfast it was worth it.

Older Hotel but nice clean rooms. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was excellent. People very friendly. We would stay here again.

We were a little nervous about staying here; we saw the low rating after we booked. But, we were very pleasantly surprised. Great location, lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Room was very clean and updated, shower was great, bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

We like the Athens Holiday Inn, and we have stayed there before. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. Fresh fruit and coffee in the lobby in the morning. But on this trip, we had a terrible time with the heater. We would turn the heat on at bedtime, then dial it lower when it got too hot. I've stayed in this hotel at least 10 times over the past decade or so ... whenever I go back to the alma mater. I love it. Friendly people, nice rooms, great pool, and perfect location. (And reasonable prices too!)

This hotel is the nicest HI property I have ever seen. The staff were very helpful. The room was terrific. My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff were banging on the door at 9 a.m. wanting to clean the room while we were still dead asleep in bed. This hotel was so good to us... our truck had broken down and we were stuck in the city... the manager extended the check out time for us because we had no where to go.. they were more than kind... thank you to all the staff that made our bad time a better time.. catherein

Polite, efficient service, clean updated room. Like the small touches like notation of the type of pillows on the bed. Good breakfast with terrific staff. Would definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn on Broad St. The location is perfect; close to UGA and all that downtown has to offer. I highly recommend this hotel for you next Athens, GA stay.

When my kids and I got to our room the toilet was messed up. No water in the tank. The plumber came up to fix it but once he left the tank overfowed, so he had to come back. The carpet outside the bathroom was wet almost to the TV and all around the side of the bed next to the wall. Can walk to campus, stadium or walk to dinner or do some shopping. Perfect location!

Very comfortable, lots of space. Only thing I would have liked would have been a small fridge for basics. The location was very convenient - close to downtown and for visiting students at UGA. Parking was easy, swimming pool nice, gym facilities basic but adequate. The price was reasonable.

We stay here fairly regularly for events in Athens and UGA. The location CANNOT be beat. BUT, I nearly roated in our room. I think the AC may be(or at least should be) one of the many upgrades in progress.

The hotel was extremely nice. I could walk to the conference and to great local places to eat. Felt safe even though there was an issue in the area at the time. Plenty of security at the hotel and in the neighborhood.

I use this Holiday Inn for both visits to the UGA campus and for attending conventions at the Athens Classic Center. It's close to downtown, but doesn't have the pricier rooms provided by other accommodations. I'm not certain I'd want to stay there on "game days" as there are several rooms with only "outside access." During my last stay, I had a wonderfully […] appointed corner room, "inside access", and a two secure entrance passage to get to the elevator. Downsides; no morning paper and fend for yourself for breakfast. Except for the absence of a complimentary continental breakfast, this hotel was everything I needed. The lobby and my room were clean, the parking lot and area was safe, it is within walking distance of UGA, it was quiet and it was comfortable.

This hotel's location in downtown Athens and on the edge of the UGA campus is exceptionally good. We found our room to be clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. There was a surprising lack of information in the room -- no tourist information, and although room service is offered, no menu for the restaurant other than breakfast. There […] was no menu on an easel outside the restaurant, either. In fact, there was no one at the front desk there, even at supper time. Worst yet was the pervasive smell of rotten cabbage that met us at the restaurant door and even crept down the stairway into the lobby. It was the grimmest, most uninviting hotel restaurant/bar I've ever seen -- too bad, because otherwise this Holiday Inn is excellent value and would merit five stars. 더 보기

The hotel was VERY conveniently located to campus and downtown. Everything was very clean and nice! We had a wonderful breakfast downstairs and ALL staff were helpful, courteous, and smiling!!!! We will definitely stay there again.....and recommend to others!!!

Me, my wife and daughter arrived Saturday, October 2 to Athens for a wedding. Check in was quick and easy and I was actually expecting worse than I walked in to due to some bad revues. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of our room and the size as well. The only negatives I can think of was the parking situation is terrible. I suggest you park […] your car and walk the rest of your stay to avoid losing your space. The other was the elevator was out that goes to the Lobby. Although there was another elevator at the other end of the hotel it stops on the first floor so we were forced to make several trips back and forth for our luggage. Im sure that was a rare occurance though as they worked fine the night before. All in all I would definately stay there again and recomend it to anyone stopping in Athens to see the sights. 더 보기

This Holiday Inn has plenty of parking and is in a great location. The hotel has a bar. The rooms are well kept and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
