Was on the beach... About the only thing positive we can say about this two-night stay. The lobby was dirty as were the carpets, including that in our room. The whole room smelled moldy, and the beds were hard as rocks. entire place is in need of updates. The menues in the resaurant were copied on the cheapest paper, with minimum ink and stapled together. […] They were well used and gross to touch. The chair rental was not open (weekend stay) and the gift shop had none for sale. Won't stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. 더 보기

We (myself, my husband, 2 kiddos, & 1 baby) arrived at the hotel early on Spring Break and were still allowed to check in. Our room was very comfortable and within minutes of arriving at our room, customer service delivered a crib for the baby. There is a great pool overlooking the beach and there was even live music. The food was great. The only flaws […] were a bug on the floor in the room (I don't like bugs), but in Texas, you CAN'T escape them (we live in San Antonio) and the other flaw was that when we checked in we were told that kids eat free at the continental breakfast- which is not true- you have to purchase a specific package for kids to eat free. First of all, I would like to say that Hotels.com has excellent Customer Service. We booked this hotel the morning of 3/15 to arrive there that evening. It was a last minute trip if there ever was one! It really was a comedy of errors. I tried to call the hotel to find out details about them but due to a mixup ended up calling Hotels.com customer service […] instead. I have always used them to book my hotels either online myself or via an agent and NEVER had any issues so I asked the lady to book us a King sized room with a balcony and a partial ocean view. I guess something got lost in transmission because when we arrived at teh hotel, we got a room with only a window(more like a porthole of a cruiseliner) which didn't open. We had a view alright but could not enjoy the breeze from our room. Now I have small children and they get tired easily so we spend a lot more time in our room than most vacationers.So, I make it a point to book ocean view rooms with balconies so me and my husband can enjoy the view while the kids take a nap or watch tv at night. We usually order in dinner or eat takeout dinners in our room so it is important to us to have a good view and a good room. You can imagine my consternation when I arrive at 2:00 am only to find that the reservation had been messed up and our room did not have a balcony or include breakfast like we had asked for. I called Hotels.com and got an agent immediately.I will give them a 5 out of 5 for customer service. They immedietly got on the phone with the hotel and tried to resoleve the issue. The hotel staff was helpful and gave us breakfast vouchers for the first day till we were able to resolve the booking but the bad thing was that the staff had to go to the manager for everything. They didn't seem to have the authority to do anything! We had to wait till the next morning for the manager to come in to have the room issues resolved. The hotel was adequate for an overnight stay when one simply needed a bedroom and bathroom. The problem is more to do with lack of other facilities. There is a cafe and bar run by an outside Company which is totally inadequate. The only answer is to find a bar or restaurant away from the hotel. The room heating was also very noisy and difficult to switch […] off during the night which disturbed our sleep. The hotel was really nice upon check in. The staff and patrons were really friendly and were really helpful to us during our stay. The only real complaint I had against them is the time we stayed there the elevators were under maintenance, so the entire hotel had to use the single service elevator. giant cockroach in bathroom

We have stayed in this hotel before and will again. Unfortunately we saw roaches in the lobby restroom. YUK! Comment was exterminator was out 2 days prior.

Quiet during off season not much but a relaxing view of the ocean 20 minutes from the uss lexington 20 minutes from food!

Beautiful view, but windows all blurry. VERY expensive restaurant. Good place to sleep for a night, but there are condo rentals down the road for the same price and LOT more amenities.

We havr stayed here several times beach is perfect. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean. Resturant service was not so great but food good.

I thought this hotel was very nice, Im from Illinois and wanted to visit my sister in Corpus so we decided to get a room close to the beach. We enjoyed just lazin around the pool and going to the nearby restaurants. I wasnt disappointed at all about anything. The beds were comfy and me and my sis just enjoyed watching tv and relaxing.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting our daughter who is studying at TAMUCC, she scounted out the hotel in advance and suggested it to us. The hotel has a great location right on the beach and has a nice pool and spa. We suggest the breakfast buffet since it provides you with much more food at a cheaper price then what is off the menu. HOTEL WAS LOCATED RIGHT ON THE BEACH WHICH WAS NICE. THE ROOM WAS JUST AVERAGE. BREAKFAST BUFFET THAT WAS INCLUDED IN OUR PRICING WAS VERY MISLEADING. Clean, great location, right on the beach, decent staff.

You can't access the best rooms from Hotels.com which is unfortunate. The hotel is situated on a nice area of the beach with an outside bar. There was live music while we were there which was good. The prime rib restaurant dinner was very nice. We will be staying there again.

Very satisfied with my stay. Right off the beach. Very convenient. Had an awesome time. Will be returning to this hotel for future stays.

Staff was friendly/attentive. Rooms were clean and furniture was up to date.

We have stayed twice this year at this hotel. On each stay we have had problems with the A/C in the room. Noisy, noisy, noisy. You paint, clean, plant but did you ever think to service all the A/C unites. Please don't make me call the front desk again about a noisy unit. Please I need my sleep.

Wonderful week with friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Ready to go back.

This is the second time we been there. Both times were great. Bar by pool, live band the two times we were there. Wake up to the beautiful sunrise right out the hotel and see the sunsets just as beautiful. Gives us the feeling of being on a honeymoon each time. Holiday Inn Corpus Christi - North Padre Island is right on the beach and the location can't be beat BUT the hotel itself is nothing to boast about. The furniture in the rooms are dated and not maintained. The chairs we had both were broken. The hotel was probably the best thing about the area. Padre Island north (close to Corpus Cristi) is sadly under-developed. If it wasn't for the outdoor hotel cabanna bar I would have considered the trip a bust. There is a definate smell/feel of oil in the water - you'll end up with tar on your feet. My boyfriend and i stayed at holiday inn for a weekend, it was wonderful. Making reservations and checking in was extremely easy and the front desk was very helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintenanced, even the outside pool and patio were cleaned frequently by staff. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn on Padre Island. The location was very nice due to the beach was only a little over a hundred yards from the front door of the hotel. the only thing that we didn't like very much was the elevators was very small but if your there for the beach and not worried about small things like that than […] you will be very satisfied. 더 보기

We had the most amazing time at the Holiday Inn located on North Padre Island! We are a family with two children ages 8 and 8 and could not have asked for more. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and the room was very inviting and very comfortable. I also enjoyed that kids ate for free. For the price you pay........not a good value. The hotel is "older" than you would expect. The staff is nice and really tries to accommodate your needs. During the weekend you can expect to wait at least 5 minutes for one of the two ancient elevators. I believe the hotel needs to determine what audience they are looking for during the summer. The "young" […] crowd that likes to party or the "family" crowd that is bringing their children for a weekend vacation. Had a wonderful time ... room was clean and comfortable ... beach was great, grandkids had a grand time at the beach and in the pool ... a drink at the bar at night with the moon and stars overhead made for a fitting end to every day

Wonderful hotel with a great location! The staff was great and very helpful. Restaurant had wonderful help but the food was not that great.

North Padre was great! Great place for a family vacation. Lots to do there. We made the best of it, even though we were not happy with our hotel room.

I have stayed here a few times and always enjoy myself. The location is ideal and things that you need aren't too far away. The pool area could stand a little updating, but everything else was fine. I would definitely recommend this hotel and am looking forward to our next visit.

Location of the beach was the only thing that was acceptable. My biggest mistake was NOT taking serious the reviews I read on the hotel before hand . The reviews were right on target. If I were to ever go back to Padre island I would invest a little more money and get a nice hotel, not the cheapest. This is one instance where you get what you pay for. […] Hotel is out of date, not well maintained. Elevators are small and cramped. In our room every time my wife tried to make coffee it would trip the surge protector that it was plugged into with 4 other items. Bathroom door had the wrong door knob with the lock on the outside of the door. The bathroom door did not close properly either. The hair dryer in Bathroom was broke and did not work. The room was dirty and it smelled of mildew. Not worth The price!!! The only thing that I liked was the Location. Very disappointing in that it was a Holiday Inn.we won't stay there again.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Carrie, who was very friendly and very helpful in assisting us with our reservation (we arrived a little early). My daughter and I were traveling without our husbands and had my three grandchildren with us. She made sure we were assigned adjacent rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had limited services while at this hotel. The lights did not work until the day before we left. Custodial care did not come in for one day to clean the rooms and then came towards the evening when we were trying to rest. I will not go back to this hotel. JP

This hotel has everything you'll need to during your stay and plus all of the entertainment and more! The location right on the beach is what you're paying for. It is totally worth it. This hotel has 2 pools, a hot tub, an outside bar and deck right by the pool looking over the beach with live bands on the weekends and a restaurant. You can't ask for […] more! Very nice hotel. Clean, neat and well staffed. We arrived early and were allowed to check in 5 hours prior to official check in time. That was a huge help. Right on the beach with a nice pool and cabana with bar and live band. We really enjoyed our stay!

Ive stayed here a few times over the last 10 years, and the hotel is getting very worn out. They say they are refurbushing, but it needs some work! The hotel is located right on the beach and if you are going to play at the beach you can not do any better than the Holiday Inn. The food in the hotel restaurant was good but don't play in the beach too long because although they are open til 10 p.m. they stop serving their full menu at 9.
