The room was fine and the breakfast great, but the rooms have virtually no soundproofing. The people above my room (132) in 232, were very noisy. It was as if they were walking on hardwood. You could hear them slamming things around so clearly. Also the slamming of the other room's doors very early in the morning was very tiresome. The building was […] obviously constructed without soundproofing back in the 70's/80's. I wouldn't stay there again only because of the lack of sleep. 더 보기

The front desk workers are very nice and helpful. In fact, I even lost my room key and wasn't charged for it! Breakfast is nice and there's a shopping center right down the street. I also checked out a couple local breweries just a few miles away. The church across the street is great too

If you want a place where you can get some sleep without police sirens, drug deals loudly taking place outside your window, or constant traffic this is a great hotel to stay in. I've been to many and this one tops the charts for me. I love this hotel because it is within walking distance to restaurants and safeway, I don't have to drive all over town […] looking for a place to eat or to grab a few groceries. We stayed here for a basketball tournament with a group of girls. Our room had pet & human hair all over the bedding. I asked the front desk whether this room had pets in it and she said that it was not a room where pets were allowed, but that maybe someone that stayed there had pet hair on their clothing. There's no way this was the case. So then I […] pulled back the covers and I find a plastered booger on the bed sheet. It was 9:30pm, I called the front desk and she tells me they don't have housekeeping at night, but she could move us to a different room, well I told her we were already situated in this room since my daughter was showering, I asked if we could have a clean set of sheets brought up. So I ended up changing out the sheets, I pulled the blanket because of all the hair on it, luckily we brought a blanket along, because I didn't feel like again bothering the front desk that seemed to be the only one on staff. There were fruitloops on the floor and there's a mexican restaraunt in front of the hotel which provided a drunk that hung out in the lobby and the front desk didn't seem to mind, because he stayed there for quite awhile. We were pleasantly surprised. This Hotel is centrally with the convenience of a restaurant in the hotel. It also offered the conteniental breakfast. The rooms are very nice.

Spacious comfortable modernly equipped room for two. Set up for convenient business trip. Nice enough continental breakfast. Kind of a noisy attached restaurant to lobby but room was far enough away.

We required a decent night's sleep on short notice during the week between Christmas and New Year's, 2011. We booked via hotels.com and found no problem with the reservations process at the hotel. The design of the building leaves too much room for noise. The floor above I could hear foot steps, and in the hallway arguements of other patrons. I had intended on staying one more nights until I couldn't rest due to the voices and door slamming in the halls. I even had the fan in the room on thinking white noise would help reduce the sound however […] it didn't help much. I will say the room overall was very comfortable otherwise. A good one night stop while traveling along I5. The room was very clean and the bed and bedding comfortable. The room was fairly quiet. Friendly staff.

Some of the things that we found unpleasant at this hotel. -Smoking permitted on the top floor, I guess this hotel chain could care less about the health of their non smoking guests! Only thing didn`t rate high on my servey was the area of town.

This is one INN you should stay OUT of. We were checked into a room that had a seriously pungent and disgusting odor before having to complain and being switched to another. Upon their inspection, they agreed that the room was not satisfactory. The hallways were seedy and the building run-down. To add insult to injury, we requested an early morning […] wake-up call (twice - once at check-in, secondly via phone call from the new room) to get us on the road in time to catch the only ferry to Victoria Island, Canada. We did not receive any call at all, which necessitated a very stressful drive to Anacortes. We barely made the ferry's departure. We choose lodging accommodations based on comfort and service. Had a room with 2 queen beds, fridge, microwave. Clean and nice staff. Beds were a little firm, but linens were nice and clean. Could hear trains go by, but sleep with earplugs so it wasn't a problem. Overall I found motels in Mt. Vernon were less expensive than motels in Burlington and the two cities are literally on either side of the Skagitt river. […] Would definitely stay there again. 더 보기

The hotel is showing its age but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The car park is at the side of the road. Take ear plugs as trains run nearby through the night.

Convenient location to shops and restaurants, not the nicest area, but motel itself, clean and staff very nice.

Easy to find, close to shopping, kids had fun in the pool even though it was cold

Hotel was o.k. for the price, service was good and room comfortable. Was concerned, though, that the fire doors at the ends of all corridors were fixed open. Are fire exit doors not supposed to be closed at all times? Aside from this concern, this hotel was fine.

This hotel /motel is dissapointing.. not very nuch attention to detail in the cleaning department.Slimey/moldy shower cutains. and just all around inattention to dusting etc . The breakfast room is so small it is uncomfortable fro the diners and the guests trying to get checked in or out. as it sits right in the middle of the lobby.with an old sofa […] and love seat and coffee tsble . Thode sre obvious;y from someones living room from years ago. This is deffinately NOT A two star property!! This hotel is in a great location to I-5 and only about 20 minutes to Anacortes, WA. where we caught the ferry to Sidney, BC. I'd stay here again

Mt. Vernon is a nice town, not as jam packed as some other towns, and close to getaway places in the woods and mountains. the hotel promised a pool, which was about 30% of our decision making process, but it was closed when we arrived, and looked ready to open as we walked out the door on our way home. outdoor pool advertised was freezing and salt water. The pool was the reason we chose this loaction (for the kids) and was disappointed we weren't informed it was not a heated pool, etc. Even called and asked and clerk said, "yes the pool is open now".

We got here late because of some car problems and we were glad to see we had a clean comfortable room. Spent so little time here that cant say much about it but thats what makes the value so great. We didnt make the breakfast bar.

The area the hotel is in looks shoddy. The bed was old and worn out- not comfortable and felt like I was rolling off the edge the whole night. We requested a playpen and said they'd send one to us twice...they never showed so we ended up pushing chairs together to makeshift a place for our kid to sleep. This hotel was very clean (except the pool as the heater was broken and it was dirty). The beds were super comfy and had a lot of nice pillows on it. The staff were so friendly and helpful!! This was our last stop in a two week vacation and this place was the gem of them all, and we had started the trip at a so-called 5-star in Vancouver where we had […] to pay for parking and internet (which was all free and accessible). The mexican restaurant attached to the hotel had the best Mexican food I've ever had! Also, the restaurant was a close drive to Whidbey Island (which is why I chose it in the first place), and was 2 minutes away from BETTER shopping than Bellis Fair. I loved this place!! Decent hotel, nothing special. If you want good breakfast we found a great spot called Iron Skillet in Sedro Wooley. Down home country food at its finest, and cheat too!

very satisfied our stay

We had 5 people in our party and it said this room slept 5, but it didn't. They said we could rent a cot for the 5th person for $15 if we wanted to. We just brought in some sleeping bags instead. There are only 4 tables in the breakfast area. It is very small. It looked like the front desk receptionist was letting non-hotel guests come in and eat the […] breakfast. These "non-hotel guests" made my daughter question the safety of the hotel and the surroundings. I would not stay at this hotel again. 더 보기

The room was larger than we expected. The personnel in the reception was also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast average. Location is in the middle of markets and fast-food restaurants and as such not too beautiful but we didn't choose the place for its view. The interstate is some two blocks away meaning there was no noise from there.

Was very pleasantly surprised with the Quality of the Days Inn Mount Vernon. The room was quite large and very well kept and clean. Service was very good. Also close to many amenities, shopping restaurants etc. Would definitely go back again. Very reasonable price.

This hotel is convenient to travel to Anacortes ferry terminal. Also, close to Casino. Restaurant on premises. Lots of parking. Staff very co-operative and friendly. Continental breakfast included. Shopping malls nearby.

This was a good deal for the price. Seems like an older hotel, but pretty clean, large room and convenient location close to I5, grocery store, etc. They allow dogs which was my primary reason for choosing them and I would definitely stay there again. Got what I paid for. Room was clean. I got a good nights sleep even with 3 kids. The free breakfast was good. We watched only a little TV, but found news and kids programs. No fancy menus or ads for porn.

First I should say the woman who worked the breakfast area was so gracious! What an excellent employee. Unfortunately, while we were eating breakfast we put the do not disturb sign on our room. The maids skipped the room for the 20 minutes we were gone. We went back to our room, removed the sign, nodded to the maid in the hall and told another maid […] we were leaving now for the day. When we came back the room was just as we left it. I went to the front desk and told the employee there that our room had not received maid service. The desk cleck was VERY rude, told me it was my fault because we had the do not disturb sign on the door while we were down eating. She said the maids clean the rooms in order and do NOT go back for any reason. I had to plead with her for clean towels, shampoo, and cups. The desk lady acted like I was the most horrible customer for being so demanding! What a wretched, wretched place to stay! Superb location - Safeway's next door, 5-min drive to Skagit Valley College, 10-min drive to downtown. 20-30 mins to charming waterfront communities of La Conner, Anacortes (Deception Pass). Hotel room smelled of treated cigarette smoke but otherwise very spacious, clean and well-appointed. Breakfast is the usual "hotel chain continental" - but includes […] DIY waffles. I stayed here for 3 nights and every day had some kind of problem the staff either didn't care about or wasn't capable of helping with. When the free wireless internet access stopped working for the 3rd day in a row, I was told they probably couldn't get any technical support this week.
