This hotel was nothing but problems. The original room I was in was terrible. The room smelled like mold and mmust, the bed was rock solid, it had a box tv in it when it said they had flat screens in them. It was disgusting. Asked for my money back and they moved me to a corporate room which was decent. That room was alright until I got in the shower […] and there was this high pitched scream the entire time I was showering. Then the toilet clogged just from urinating. Room service came at 9 am while sleeping so I told them to go away for now, called them at noon to come while we were gone. Got back at 6:30 that evening and they still had not come and the toilet was not fixed. I called and told them so they sent dome dopey kid up who fixed my beds sloppy and said sorry if this is poorly done to me! REALLY!? Then they didnt fix the toilet but made me fix it myself. The swimming pool was really nice. But the hot tub was broke as well. The jets sprayed straight up rather then in. How disappointing. The bar and resteraunt closed early so I wasnt able to try those out. All around, was a nasty experience. I will never stay at that place again. 더 보기

When you call the front desk and they let it ring for 5 minutes so you hang up. Then they call back and say I see we missed your call, really?? Why didn't you pick of the phone and say can we call you back in a couple minutes. There were 3 of them at the front desk. Not planning to go back here anytime soon.

We stayed at the Plaza hotel recently for pleasure. I was disappointed in the quality of our room. I feel it wasn't updated, and our beds were extremely uncomfortable. Our room was fairly clean, however. The hallway carpets looked extremely old and dirty, and stained. The lobby areas were very nice and updated. The pool area was beautiful and clean. […] There were places to sit around the perimeter of the pool, and places to sit on a deck setting half a floor above the pool. The pool area was a nice atmosphere for families or groups to gather. Overall, for the price, I felt like our room was too small and not updated. Add that to the extreme uncomfortableness of our bed, and I wouldn't stay there again, despite the nice location, nice pool and nice lobby areas. The room is where one spends alot of time (besides the pool) so I would think this hotel would make it a priority to update. 더 보기

Stayed one night. The room had a bad odor. We turned the fan on high to circulate the odor from the room during our entire stay. The king size bed was not comfortable, with an enormous "dip" in the middle. The bedsheet was stained. Nice Television.

The room I had was nothing like the pictures. The Bathroom was large but had no sink space and the shower had very little water pressure. There was a stain on the sheets and the wall paper in the room was peeling. Also the door into the room sticks so you would have to use your shoulder to push the door open. This room was not worth the price.

We had a great stay -- my daughters loved the pools

Dogs were barking in room next to me. I tried to call front desk several times and it just kept ringing. There were dried bugs in one of the bath towels when I opened it to dry off.

We love the 2 pools. It is very easy to bring the kids and feel comfortable that they have a shallow pool where they can have fun on their own without being held all the time. Very clean. Nice emperatures in both pools.

The bathroom was so tiny that you had to step into the tub to close the door!! And I hit my shoulder on the toilet tissue holder everytime I sat down. Who designs these places? Certainly no one that has ever stayed in a hotel before! The vanity was more than adequate, so there would have been plenty of room to make the bathroom larger. I have been in […] larger facilities on a cruise ship. The sink was so low and some of the furniture was too; so that I thought it had been designed by very short people. We stayed at the Plaza Hotel for 1 night on our way to our final vacation destination. Thank the Lord this wasn't our final hotel stay! We arrived late in the evening to find that the air conditioning was not on in our room! It took over 2 hours for it to cool down. Needless to say, it was not the best night of sleep. The temp in the hallways should […] have been an indicator...very hot as well. The next morning I was told they are trying to conserve energy. I get that but, when it is at the expense of your guests...bad idea! Definitely not worth what we paid and I would never stay there again! 더 보기

We chose this hotel because it was a 1/2 way point to our destination from Chicago and the pool looked nice for the kids. The water was very cold, too cold for the kids to enjoy....kids normally don't care it the you think the water is cold they still play. Our 3 kids were cold. The game room, the change machine didn't work and was not kid friendly […] and the room I thought was dirty. The carpet was not well vacumed, the beds were uncomfortable (and I can sleep on any bed), the toliet was dirty and I'm just glad I brought a bottle of Lysol to clean the tub. As nice as it looks on line and from the outside...I wouldn't go back. 더 보기

Overall my stay was satisfactory, but I just have a couple of complaints. For one, the heat in the hallway outside my room was almost unbearable. Also the cleanliness around the pool area in the morning left a little to be desired with pizza boxes and beer glasses out on the tables.

room key cards only worked maybe 1 each day, had to make many trips back to desk. maid did not know how to make up a bed. halls were about 95 deg. elevator and halls&room carpet were filthy. most food was not good for the cost but neither was the room.

wall paper coming off the bathroom walls, very uncomfortable beds, light right outside of room in the hall so bright that we could not block light from coming into our room all night at all hours, room was way too warm to comfortably sleep, (honestly the worst night of sleep that i had in a long long time). remodeling being done in rooms next to ours […] with doors left open(noone inside) I had to go down hall shuting these doors so that my very young son didn't go "exploring" when he was walking behind me. I understand the need for the remodeling but i think they could secure these rooms for safety and to keep the many teens from going into these rooms 더 보기

This hotel has seen better days. There were some rooms in the process of being remodeled. It could use more refreshing. My sister's room had obvious water stains on the ceiling by the exterior wall. Our room was non-smoking, but didn't smell that way. The general cleaning had been done and we had no major complaints. For the price of the room I would […] have expected better quality. 더 보기

We were really excited to go to this hotel with our two little kids in hopes of enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, the water was so cold that neither of our water-loving children wanted to swim. It was a real let down. Also, our toilet in our room clogged and it took two calls to the main desk for someone to come and clean it up. Overall, the hotel […] is nice and we enjoyed having our poolside room and a great rate from hotels.com. We just wish we'd have been able to enjoy the pool more. 더 보기

My two girlfriends and I go back to Eau Claire every year for Homecoming and this year we needed to stay at a Hotel since we no longer have close friends who live in EC. Yes, the hotel is older, but maintained well. The beds were VERY uncomfortable, but having the rest of the room was nice. It was great having the large "mini" fridge and microwave. […] We attended the breakfast buffet on Saturday morning around 8:15am and it was to end at 9am. We had to wait for everything since they did not plan well to have food ready when it was gone. In the end we each had a pastry and warm juice out of the juice machine. We also spent a lot of time in the hot tub--it was great just as long as the jets weren't on. Once they were turned on it was EXTREMELY noisy and they weren't positioned well IN the water so getting splashed in your face was a common occurance. Overall the location is perfect in proximity to UWEC and we will be staying here again next August for a wedding and maybe for Homecoming again next fall. 더 보기

Hot tub was pee warm. Breakfast ended too early. The place was over run with loud college students. Without hotels.com we woulkd have not stayed a second night the price they wanted was very ridiculous..... One upside was the bed and tv, both were great.

Staff was very accommadating. Fridge didnt work. Bathrrom small. Great location and great continental breakfast!

The room was very clean, and it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room and the complementary internet access was great. However, the room was very warm, and the air conditioner was very noisy and did not cool down the room. Compared to other hotels I have recently stayed at in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Milwaukee, it just wasn't as […] nice. I've stayed at some other 3 to 4-star hotels for the same or lower price, and this was just not comparable. But again, it was very clean, and that may be the most important item to consider. 더 보기

I was not pleased with the over all cleanliness of the hotel....there were cobwebs and bugs in the stairs and the heat in the hallways was awful. I was very disappointed with this hotel.
