All is great. Room a bit small but adequate and comfortable. Bed is great. Great shower. Loved convenience to patio, bar, restaurant. A bit noisy - lot of outside family/kid activity late at night. Location excellent. Staff and service great. Loved the happy hour. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Room not as accommodating or clean as you one would think for the price, however the staff was friendly and helpful.

Too overpriced for what you get. Small rooms; old heating system/no AC; no complimentary breakfast. There is a nice little tapas bar on site that is a bit pricey and the best part of the hotel - a heated pool that is actually heated although it would be better if it was inside. I'll probably try another hotel when in the area again.

I loved Casa Munras. It is quaint, had a wonderful cumfy bed, big huge screen tv, cozy fireplace.. has an amazing restaurant on the grounds and a SPA! I would totally come back here. I loved this hotel!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Some of the folks at the front desk were not the best but the supervisors were great.

I had a nice stay at a pool side room, i had a problem with my brand new 46" flat screen turning on but they sent promp help and we figured it out. Gave me a bottle of Chardonnay for my troubles. I like dogs and dog friendly hotels but my neighbors dog really accentuated how close the next door room felt. I'd get some sound proof doors. I'd stay there […] again for sure. 더 보기

everything was perfect but there was no air condition which gave us little discomfort, overall i would say is perfect, i must visit again& stay at munras.

This is my favorite hotel in Monterey. It is within easy walking distance of Old Fisherman's Wharf, and the staff is very responsive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.

We chose the Casa Munras because we were traveling with our dog and they allow pets. After booking through Hotels.com, we found out that we had to pay a $50 per night non-refundable deposit for our small dog (any pet, in fact). That seemed steep (our next hotel only charge $15 a night). Otherwise, the hotel has nice grounds, the room was very clean […] (especially since it had had pets in it), and the service was fine. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but ate at a cute coffee shop across the way. Also, we found a French bakery right across the street that had glowing reviews on Yelp, but was unfortunately closed. Our dinner there was excellent. The staff was excellent and very kind to our 2 grandchildren.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We were generally pleased. The grounds are lovely, with flowers everywhere. Our family really enjoyed the heated pool. The room itself was small & nothing special & wasn't decorated at all - not a single picture. The bathroom floor was dirty upon check-in & after the maid service the following day, still dirty. […] Had to call to ask for them to mop the bathroom floor. Never saw the free fresh baked cookies they advertised. Dennys is across the street & had great breakfasts, Great location within walking distance of the wharf & aquarium. Fireplace in the spacious room was great. Separate tub and shower in a big bathroom was a plus. Staff was friendly, comped us breakfast when the hot water ran out in the morning. Highly recommend

This is an old hotel with an interesting history. The exterior and grounds are very nice, but the room was small and lacking some amenities found in more modern hotels. The room was well maintained and very clean, and the bed was wonderful! The shampoo, lotion , and soap were nice quality products.

We love Casa Munras - close to beach, close to the Monterey Institute of International Studies and easy walks to Cannery Row and Wharf. The beds are HEAVEN and the complimentary cookies and fruit are a wonderful treat! The free DVD library was a fun idea for inclement weather.. but we did not need it. Old hotel that's been highly upgraded to future standards and options. Highly impressed at the rooms. Estabans Restaurant at the hotel, made great drinks at a good price. Impressed the wife and I would return.

I have stayed at the hotel a few times. The rooms are a bit small as noted by the reference when I checked in. I was assigned a cozy queen. The lobby of the hotel is very nice and the restaurant food is excellent. Overall, I will continue to stay at this hotel off and on.

Casa Munras is a motel in the middle of downtown Monterey. The location is a handy jumping off point. It was a place I visited while stationed at Ft. Ord over 40 years ago. There has been some effort to repaint and modernize. The bedroom and bathroom were definitely repainted. The TV and alarm clock were new. The bathroom still sported small tiles on […] the floor and old green/purple tiles in the stall shower. The beds had thick top pads, but were comfortable. The cleaning person evidently had long light brown hair because I found a sample on the bed, in the bathroom and on the dresser. We stopped here on our honeymoon road-trip and it was wonderful! The staff was great and the hotel was beautiful!!! The only minor complaint we had was that there seemed to be some minor insulation issues with the door, there was a cold breeze coming through the door jam. The other thing was that the bathroom was freezing! We couldn't get it warm even […] with the heat and fireplace on and the bathroom door wide open. Old motel that has been cleaned up. Not a hotel you would hang out at but ok for a place to sleep.

Beautiful electric gas fireplace in the room and huge 47" TV made staying in the room very enjoyable. Downside to this property is that you can only use the hot tub if you purchase a spa package from their salon. That was a major bummer, but on the flip side their outdoor pool is heated to 82 degrees. They have a lovely outdoor fire pit at the restaurant […] which we ate at both nights of our stay because it was so good. If you eat there, be sure they give you their coupon for a free dessert if you dine or go to the bar the next night. 더 보기

Really liked it -- the bed are lovely, and the tapas restaurant was really good.

Hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately for us, we had the misfortune of getting lice from the crib my daughter stayed in. The hotel said they would keep us posted about the situation after their pest control people did an inspection. There has been no follow up call- nothing. Went with my girlfriend for a belated Valentine's day get away and found a deal with this hotel so decided to give it a try. I am very glad I chose this place. The service was great, as well as the hotel itself. The room was a deluxe king which was very clean, the beds was extremely comfortable and a cozy fireplace right next to the bed to top it off. […] the overall area was very quiet and relaxing and was conveniently nearby to all the aquarium, and some of the other sight seeing areas. I have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Casa Munras in Monterey. The check in was easy, the staff was super friendly, the room was spacious and classy, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was close to everything! I would definately stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.

Having grown up in the area I remeber back in the 60's and early 70's the Casa Munras as being "the place to stay"...this many years later I had the opportunty to stay here and it really is "the place to stay".....the staff was very acoomodating and the food was great. We always stay at Casa Munras when we're in Monterey. Great base for exploring the town, and a couple of minutes by car to Carmel. Across the street is an excellent breakfast and lunch place called The Wild Plum. Enjoy yourself!

Paper thin walls....light sleepers beware!

We checked in on Friday night intending to leave Saturday morning. The hotel and staff were amazing. We never left except for site seeing and dinner. We decided to stay Saturday night too. Thank you Casa Munras for a wonderful 2nd honeymoon.

Room was nice, but very small. Very little parking when the hotel is full. Had baby crib setup and waiting for us, which was a plus. Everything is in walking distance.

This place deserves a 5-star rating on everything. In fact, not exaggerating, the business was the best part of our stay in Monteray, CA. They were accommodating, upgraded our suite (with a fireplace) on the house due to it being our 25th anniversary, and had a wonderful restaurant within the grounds. The employee at the front desk was the kindest […] gentleman and made us feel welcome. He was no doubt the primary reason for the stay. He went well out of his way to ensure a pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, well decorated, and good location (walking distance to Alvarado Street with lots of restaurants, shops, etc). Longer walk to Cannery Row area...fine for adults or with stroller, but for a younger child would be too far.
