Was a great place to stay - staff was attentive and customer service orriented. The gym was well equipped and locker room/shower was adequate (visiting team used it, so it was good enough for me). We booked a 2 bed room and were given a king bed for a family of 4. Asked for a change but I was told we were out of look and they could not guarantee booking requests. Expect more from a Ritz Carlton but didnt get it.

However, the rooms are just blah and they could do with updated beds (matresses & linen) and bathrooms. The bathtub and shower-curtain could have passed for any new three start hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay. Beautiful room. Staff was absolutely wonderful and accommodating.

How often does one get to say that they stayed at the Ritz Carlton? Today, a few of my friends and I joined that club, staying the night in an executive suite. Location-wise, this hotel is pretty much in the heart of downtown Atlanta. It's about one or two blocks from the Peachtree MARTA station, so it's quite close to public transportation. The hotel […] was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Tabernacle, where we went to see a concert. The surrounding area had lots of dining options. The only downside I noticed was that every block seemed to have a homeless person asking for money, but this isn't surprising for a downtown metropolitan area. What did surprise and somewhat disconcert me was the huge police presence in the area. I literally lost count of how many police cars patrolling the area. At night, the streets were quite deserted. I didn't feel too scared to walk around at night, but I did remain alert of my surroundings. From our arrival, our group was warmly greeted at the door. The front desk staff was very polite. The hotel staff was very accommodating with our request for a rollaway bed, though it did take around 20 minutes for the bed to arrive. The housekeepers were very attentive as well, as they checked in on us after we accidentally left the door ajar for a few minutes. While we were gone, the staff also placed chocolates on the bed. Fresh fruit and water was placed by housekeeping in the living room, and at night, chocolates were placed on the bed and bathrobes placed on both showers. Our executive suite was on the 15th floor, which gave a somewhat nice view of the Atlanta skyline. The elevators required a keycard swipe in order to choose this floor, so foot traffic outside the room was kept to a minimum. The suite itself was not as up-to-date as the more modern or boutique hotels, but was well-furnished and quite accommodating for a group of 4. i booked hotel room with 2 queen beds for a special trip for me, my wife and my dad. we wanted to treat my dad special because he is going in for colon cancer surgery on firday, sept 9, 2011. i called that day to confirm becauce we were driving in from mississippi, all was good they said. when we got there, all they had was a king and a roll away bed. […] not so special !!! i really got upset when they tried to convince me that they were doing me a favor by not charging me for the roll away bed. they told me booking thru hotel.com did not garantee me what i booked. it was too late to go anywhere else, disappointed 더 보기

The hotel itself was nice and well maintained. Room service was very courteous and on time but the food quality was just ok and the table linens smelled like a dirty greasy restaurant kitchen. The smell was so strong I was shocked that no one had noticed it. I am very conflicted about this venue. I have NEVER had BETTER service anywhere. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely kind and helpful. However, I did not find much that screamed LUXURY. The room was average, paper-thin walls, poor air conditioning, and charged for internet. The majority of my issues would have been forgotten except for the […] air conditioning. It was originally set at 73 & I had to set it to 60. The air was cold, but did not circulate at all. The coldest part of the room was in front of the vent. My wife and I could not use the "luxury linens" because it was so warm and humid in the room. I have stayed at several of their properties in the past and had an excellent stay, this experience however was very disappointing. While the service and attention of the staff was great, I experienced the following: 1) TV was not operating correctly, which they were unable to remedy; 2) Bed was uncomfortable which I attribute to a old spring mattress; […] 3) Room cooling system was poor; at lowest setting room temp was still warm; 4) Service in Resturant for brakfast was very poor. The staff here are amazing! Very courteous, ready to assist in anyway possible. Will definitely stay in again when visiting Atlanta.

The lobby was beautiful and the fresh flowers lovely. The knowledge of the staff was underwhelming. We booked the Aquarium package for a family of 4 but was only given 2 tickets. When someone called our room to ask about our stay so far, I questioned her about the lack of the other 2 tickets. She said she didn't know anything about them didn't offer […] to find out. When I went to the desk to ask they told me to see if I could pass my son as young enough to get in free. No mention of how to get the included breakfast. The service is not at all what I expected from the name "Ritz Carlton". 더 보기

Choosing to spend our 25th anniversary at the Ritz-Carlton was one the best choices we could have made for this occasion. "Luxury At It's Best" describes this hotel through the friendliness of the concierge, the front desk staff, spectacular views/decor and atmosphere. The Ritz-Carlton in downtown Atlanta was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Their attention to detail and service to their guests made it truly outstanding. We had a bed & breakfast package during our stay and the food at breakfast was delicious. There were also many options, not just a continental or buffet. We were traveling with two children […] and we felt very welcome with them. They even had a kids menu at breakfast and for room service. I was also very happy with the location. We were only in Atlanta for the weekend so it was very convienient to be able to walk to the Georgia Aquarium, CNN center, etc. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel but there are also quite a few fast food chains located in the CNN center if you are looking for something familiar, quick and cheap. 더 보기

With a name like the Ritz Carlton, I was expecting more. Yes, there are robes in the closet, but they were made out of low-grade sandpaper, as were the towels. Do you like a dark room for sleeping? ...there are some glaring deficiencies--the inclusive packages are not very well explained, the pillows are horrid, lack of swimming pool, and lack of spa. The upside is the fantastic concierge, Kamilla, and the in the mix of things location.

A pleasant stay. Very attentive staff in the lobby. Well organized, helpful and enthusiastic. A rare find in today's Hilton environment. The restaurant was very good. best regards and compliments to the chef and our Dutch server.

Booked room for stay after concert at Philips Arena. Arrived at 4, plenty of time for club level drinks and hors d'oerves. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely employees. Great spot for celebrity spotting as well. Breakfast in the in- house restaurant was superb! Definitely worth every penny.

The bed was luxury plus, the room was clean, and service was exceptional. I will definitely stay here again when going to Atlanta!!

Overall the Hotel is in a great location and the staff are very helpful to make your stay comfortable. It is not as glamourous, nor does the hotel have a WOW factor that some may expect. In the general area, the Marriott Marquis has the upper hand being larger and new compared to the Ritz-Carlton. Check online packages for the best deal to make your […] choice. Public parking vs valet parking should be considered before going to the Ritz-Carlton. Decide on what will be left in the car and how to unload the car ahead of time. The Ritz-Carlton provided a metal crib for our child that had very loose support legs. The walls are thin and conversations can be heard between rooms. The deluxe rooms have bathrooms with shallow tub and shower. The bathroom is ample to move around and not feel cramped. However, I did not see a fan or steam exhaust which will put moisture in the room. This likely contributes to the musky/damp smell. Note that in the morning the window seal will be puddled with water so do not leave anything on the window edge. The location is great to walk to Centennial Olympic Park and surround major attractions. For kids, the park has a play ground and Imagine It museum. Several nice restaurants are nearby and the Hotel has a map and listing. Given the vicinity to the metro, one can take the subway just about anywhere. Note: Ritz-Carlton will do there best to make your stay comfortable so please ask for help when you need it. 더 보기

This is NOT a Ritz. The room looks like 2-3 star local Inn. The only thing that was nice about the hotel was the staff. Will never stay here again.

WE LOVE THIS HOTEL AND THE SERVICE WE GET. WE WILL ALWAYS KEEP GOING BACK. ALSO CLUB LEVEL IS THE BEST. I WISHED ALL HOTELS WERE LIKE THIS.

Great room, great service, great breakfast. Steam room and spa were not that great.

The hotel is walking distance to CNN, Coke, Olympic Park and great eateries. The staff was attentive and professional.

We were looking for a 'local getaway' and found it here at the downtown Ritz. It was everything you would expect in a Ritz, but we also felt very safe when walking around hotel area to the local pub. There were plenty of police and we never felt uneasy. We live in Atlanta and were pleasantly surprised by our experience.
