The rooms are very nice and I like it because it has a microwave and a fridge. The beds were comfortable also.

This hotel is excellent for those traveling through the area. The service is excellent the staff is friendly and helpful. Only problem is the surrounding area has sarted to decay around them. But don't let that detour you from stay here. The hotel staff has gone to great length to not keep the surrounding area at bay. We spent a couple nights here in February and found it very quiet and pleasant for a 2 star hotel. The free breakfast was minimal, but met expectations. Because it was off season, the pool wasn't open. Most of the staff we interacted with were either new to the area or didn't speak English very well, so they were not helpful in answering our "tourist" […] questions. Nice hotel in a convenient location. Neighborhood is a little iffy. Staff was very good. Breakfast was nice. Room could use an upgrade, but in general was quite comfortable.

The bed was comfortable....but the moment we walked into the hallway it had a BAD SMELL.. it continued into our room. I will never stay here again, I could not sleep because of the strong smell.

To start off, I had to phone the hotel to ask for directions as my online directions were incorrect. The young lady was NOT helpful. She wouldn't /couldn't answer direct questions relating to the location. Upon arrival, she was "pleasant", not really helpful or friendly. Not a good start. The entire second floor smelled of...??? It did not smell like […] a cleaning product or pesticide, whatever it was, it was awful. Once inside the room it was not noticeable. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The room was was small and dark. Recently redone but still showing it's age. The floors are not level and all of the drawers from the dresser and night stands kept rolling out regardless of the number of times you put them back. The location was questionable. We had a nice stay and will return again if staying in the area. Only one small complaint--went to get breakfast five minutes before it was supposed to be over, and they were already cleaning it up. This is the second time we have stayed at the Clarian Inn in Mesa, and will be the last time. We made reservations on line and expected to pay that price. Upon checkin we were charged $20.00 more. The management was rude... breakfast was a joke! The waffle machine fell apart, and all that was available were high starch and carb items... The neighborhood looked a bit sketchy, and it was kind of hard to manuver into the driveway, but once we checked in we were very happy. The room was very clean and the quality of the room and bathroom was beyond our expectations. The view off my balcony was a run down trailor park with barbed wire on the fence.

The room was very clean and checking in and out could not have been easier...thank you for the wonderful stay.

The Clarion Inn in Mesa is an excellent property. The room was clean and spacious. The staff is available, helpful, and friendly. The grounds are safe and secure for your vehicle. Nearby restuarants are close but probably not within walking distance. The property is 5 minutes from downtown Mesa, AZ, and the Mesa Arts Center/Museums. The downtown area […] is walkable with many shops and eateries. If you are going to a performance, be sure to make reservations as the restuarants are booked solid right before showtime. We were a little leery of the location but we were pleasantly surprised that the room was comfortable and our vehicle was safe.

Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not the best but was free. It was easy to find.

We were driving in from California and looking for a particular Clarion. Didn't find that one, but happened upon THIS one. It has been recently updated. The colors were lovely, the room very comfortable, the management very nice and the breakfast a bonus.

Good value for your money!

We ended up here after out hotel (studio6) *accidentally" cancelled out entire reservation after the first night. The courtyard is nice, is hidden off the street. If you didn't know, you would drive right by. Bus stop is right out front. The hallway room doors looked dated in design, but the rooms are modern and awesome. Details like granite and crown […] mounding are great, the duvets were rich and luxurious. Five great pillows, bed was nice and comfortable. There is a train you can hear sometimes, but that was the only noise. Didn't eat breakfast, but they had continental. Our first hotel did us a favor, this location is much nicer and was only three dollars more a night. 더 보기

The hotel seems to be recently renovated. Be forewarned, the part of Mesa is not what it used to be and this hotel may be the nicest building on Main street now. Rooms are comfortable, clean, breakfast was decent travel food, only one complaint, but a big one. If you need a dark room (as I do), don't get a room on the east side next to parking lot. […] For security, I presume, the parking lot is lit up like the Vegas Strip. There is a "balcony" and window on the door leading to it. The pull down shade does little to prevent the light from flooding in (the regular window shade isn't much better but points the other direction). I don't know if the courtyard would be better or not, but price is right, also had washer and dryer if you need to do clothes. The rest of the group slept fine. 더 보기

I have stayed here twice. This is a good place to stay. The staff keeps this place in top condition. The rooms seems extra large, clean and comfortable for a very nice stay. I travel alot.

I only wanted a place to sleep - wasn't looking for 3+ star motel. The main thing I didn't like was the walls were paper thin and I could hear everything coming from the room next door. Also, the bed was too hard for me and I didn't sleep well at all.

We Recommend this hotel the rooms are nice the bed was comfy The resturant connected to the hotel was very good the family owned . GREAT people that welcome you in.Free Breakfast always a plus.. We will stay here again

OK, this was my third time in this hotel. A fourth time will follow. The staff was, as always, very helpfull. Breakfast was fine, especially for a hotel in this price range. The room was spacious and quiet. Two issues I found were: in my room the internet signal was weak, and the computer in the lobby that had a printer connected had a non-functional […] Acrobat Reader. This was the nicest room I have ever had at a hotel in this price range. It was like an apartment, lots of space, balcony, very clean... The usual unhealthy hotel breakfast, but that's the way it goes. Great pool. Location didn't seem sketchy at all to me. At first we were abit hesitant to book this hotel because of location but the reviews were encouraging. We actually enjoyed our 6 night stay. Yes the beds are heavenly. The room quite comfortable for sleeping and the hotel very quiet. The continental breakfast was somewhat limited and disappointing but hey....it was free basically. The hotel was great. Clean, and large rooms. Nothing fancy but for the price you can't ask for much more. Not much within walking distance but within 10 min of everything you could need.

Great hotel for the price. While Neighborhood might scare you. but its great. Only thing is Wi-Fi isnt great inside rooms (i was on first floor,). It only works in hallway.

Well kept up, great beds and everything was clean and appeared well cared for.

This hotel is in an older neighborhood in Mesa. Don't let that deter you from staying. The rooms have been nicely updated. The beds are very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. I would gladly stay again!

Desk clerk Reuben was very friendly & helpful when I arrived & took trouble to allocate me a quiet ground floor room. The pool looked good but I didn't have time to try it out. Facilities in the room were excellent, as was the breakfast - lots of choice. About 20 minutes easy drive from Car Rental return at Sky Harbour Airport, so I'll stay there a […] gain. 더 보기

If you're planning on visiting Mesa this hotel is pretty much right in the middle of the city along Main St. near many businesses and close to public transit if needed. The hotel looks fairly old, but has obviously been completely redone, from the paint, the doors, to the carpet, to the furniture. Giving it a clean modern look. The rooms are quite spacious […] with comfortable beds, new furniture, and also a personal coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge (empty), and of course a tv. Also built in iron, ironing board, and hairdryer in bathroom, which are nice touches. I believe this is and Indian owned/operated hotel, as all the employees from the receptionist to the maintence/cleaning crew were of a Indian decent, needless to say a friendly staff ready to answer any questions you may have, also the continental breakfast from 6-9 is your typical choices, but still nice. Overall if you're looking for an affordable, yet nice and comfortable hotel I would suggest this one... The best part, all the upstairs rooms have personal patios, very nice. Hope this review helps. Good value and a pleasant surprise. Prior reviews were pretty much on target. The Greek Restaurant next door is both convenient and quite good, again as other reviews had stated. Atmosphere is lacking but service and food were both very good.

The management at the Mesa Clarion keeps the rooms extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms also contain a desk and easy chair. Rooms are very quite with virtually no street noise. I also highly recommend the Greek restaurant next door. The Clarion makes for a great stay in Mesa.

Alhtough the location was not all that great, the area was pretty decent. The rooms were just the right size. The rooms were well equiped and very comfortable. The bed was great, we had a king and it was perfect. I could hear some noise outside, but that was a very minor problem. I was in town for Spring Training and was looking for a hotel near HohoKam Park and my Aunt. I was a little concerned about the surrounding area but knew I was not too far from either. I plan to attend Spring Training in 2012 and if The Clarion is still open I will probably stay there again.

Nice, clean, and comfortable room with very comfortable bed at a reasonable rate. Close to airport and botanical gardens.
