The shower didn't work. The view was of an alley. I had to go up to the 4th floor and then take a hallway over to another part of the building in order to go down to the 2nd floor where my room was located. The front desk staff was rude. All-in-all a bad experience. Avoid.

The hotel was nice probably needed to be updated!

Pros; Cheap (one of the least expensive in the neighborhood), Great Location, Free Parking (usually $40-$50 per night in the area) Nice staff. Cons; Small rooms, thin walls, hot water inconsistent.

Supposed to be a king sized bed with a couch and there was only a queen

The staff was very helpful with directions. The rooms were extremely clean, and the bed and room were very comfortable. The location was convenient to everything including subways and buses. I would recommend Best Western River North to everyone.

Staff was very good including Security Staff. Parking was convenient, a big plus. The only thing negative, which I can't figure out how they could change, would be street noise from trucks and fire engines and ambulances.

The rooms were very small, but clean. All of the staff were friendly. Convienient location and it was great that parking was free. If you are traveling with a small child and have a pack-n-play, it is very cramped to set it up in the room.

The room was clean, service was good, location was good, hallways with florescent lighting make it seem like a cheap motel, light sleepers this is a good place to stay, unless you pick the top floor, which I would recommend. The guest right above me was either a ballet dancer or could not stand still I could hear his footsteps all night.

Hotel is in a great location and the free parking is great and convenient, they let us keep our car there until 5:00 the day we checked out. As long as you are not looking for a fancy hotel this is a great deal. The only down side was that the room only had a sheer curtain so as soon as the sun came up it was bright in the room.

My son and I stayed at the hotel for two nights, and were very pleased with how large and comfortable our room was. My son was preparing for an audition, so we had to spend a lot of time in the room as he worked on his material. The sitting room area was large and nicely separated from the two double beds. The service was friendly as well. The valet […] was prompt and pleasant each time we retrieved our car, and the front desk was attentive and helpful, suggesting nearby restaurants. The room literally smelled like urine in some areas... I sat down on the chair & when I left, I could smell urine on my person. Pretty nasty.. The beds weren't very comfortable, and it isn't satisfying that there isn't a hot tub.

short walking distance to No Michigan Av shops. dining. Easy access to 94. Comfortable room, great price with free PARKING... extended next day for shopping...

The location was fantastic, walking distance to the whole downtown area, plus free parking how can you beat that for a downtown hotel. I would definitely book this hotel again, and the staff were very friendly and helpful

It's very close to Michican Ave but they don't charge additional fee for parking. Loved it in every aspect. Will use this everytime we visit Chicago.

This hotel is in a good location and reasonable price. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free Internet and parking. Only issue is parking lot is a tight space and fills up quickly.

Our three day trip to Chicago was great! The people at the front desk were nice and helpful. You can walk to just about all the sites and the ones you can't walk to, you can take the bus or L train to. Free parking is a HUGE plus as it costs about 50 bucks a night everywhere else. Staff was friendly upon check in. Rooms were clean. Location was good for visiting Michigan Avenue & ChristKindlMart. Free parking was the best! Wuld stay here again.

Based on the reviews I was a little nervous, but I thought the room was updated nicely, the staff was very helpful and the free parking was awesome. Lots of restaurants near by and easy to catch a cab. I would stay there again.

This is not a very fancy hotel but the room was very clean, pleasant, and comfortable. The employees were also very friendly. One review I saw raved about the pillows which I thought was kind of funny when I read it, but it is true - they were unusually nice and the bed was comfortable too. I stayed on a holiday weekend and it was one of the lowest rates in the heart of the city. Very good location and comfortable stay.

Great location - lots of restaurants and amenities near by and all the main tourist areas are in easy walking distance. The room was a little bit noisy, because of the main road, but it was a good size, and the free internet and in-door pool were an added bonus. All in all, good value for money.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it was a positive surprise that my hop-on-hop-off-bus had a stop just outside on the sidewalk. Could easily walk to the Hancock Tower and even later in the night, I wasn't uncomfortable walking all alone back to the hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. I stay in hotels for a living, and this hotel had the best and most comfortable pillows I have had in 3 years on tour. The free parking is a huge bonus and the main reason I booked this hotel. The room was very clean and perfect for our quick overnight trip to Chicago.

Very pleasant, helpful staff. Good location. Convenient to restaurants and Magnificent Mile shopping. FREE PARKING! We spent four nights. Older hotel with renovations. Nice indoor pool on seventh floor-wish I had time to use it. Nice smallish fitness center in pool area with good, club-level machines. No breakfast to speak of, but breakfast bars available […] every morning, coffee available at all times, and computer w/internet and printer available in lobby. Friendly staff. Our room was always clean. Hallways clean. We walked to Chop House in under five minutes. Gino's Pizza under five minutes. McDonalds across the street. Hard Rock Cafe across the street. Did I mention free parking? It was not super quiet. Street noise, especially police sirens, were occasionally annoying. My wake up call was only correct 2 mornings out of 4-a small inconvenience. If morning timeliness is critical, I'd suggest using the supplied alarm clock. Rates weren't cheap, but hey, it's downtown Chicago. Also, it is only 2-3 minutes off the highway, and easy to find. I found the Best Western Plus River North on the internet and was impressed with the value and free parking. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The freedom of leaving the car after check out time until 5:00PM was an added bonus. It's a walk to the inner loop but all the nearby restaurants made it worthwhile. The location was convenient & a short walk to many places. The rooms were nice. My only complaint is the hair dryer was way too old, so if you need one, I suggest bringing your own. Everything else was great!

Hotel was perfect location for shopping and sight seeing! Free parking was a HUGE perk and they let us keep our car there until 5 the day we checked out. Not the newest or most up to date rooms, but they were decent and we weren't really there much but to sleep. Overall, I would stay here again for the price, parking, and location.

My first experience at this hotel was forbidding. The card key did not work. There were dubious looking guests in the elevator. Then, when the obliging staff fixed this, the door opened on an occupied room. This hotel is located just a few blocks from the mag mile and around a mile from Navy Pier. There is a free shuttle just a few blocks away that will take you to Navy Pier also. The hotel is not overly fancy but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was pretty small but that wasn't a big deal. I wish there had been a fridge and microwave […] in the room especially since there was not an ice machine on our floor. Free parking was a huge perk! If you are looking for a fancy hotel this is probably not the one for you, but if you want a clean basic hotel in a good location and dont care about being in luxury this is a great choice. 더 보기

Our family stayed at the Best Western River North on a quick trip to Chicago over Labor Day weekend. I stay there whenever I need a hotel room in Chicago because parking is free (which is always a plus) and the neighborhood offers many options for food and entertainment. It is also near enough to Michigan Avenue that you can easily walk to Water Tower […] or any of the stores along the Magnificent Mile. Also the Red-Line CTA stop at Grand is only a few blocks away if you are going up to Wrigley for a game. (as we did) Overall we received friendly and prompt service from the staff...they were flexible with us at check-in and responded quickly to our request for a roll-away cot, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know traveling to Chicago. 더 보기

This hotel was centrally located, close to all the major steak houses literally steps away. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms where comfortable but a little noisy because of the air conditioning. Overall I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting the area.

My three adult children, four grandchildren & I stayed at the hotel the week-end of 8/19-8/21. The locatiion was excellent for hailing cabs to Navy Pier & within walking distance of other places we visited. The staff at the front desk were very accomodating - printing menus for restaurants we were interested in. The bell men who assisted us with luggage […] checking in & out were most pleasant. This was a wonderful choice for a weekend in Chicago. Located right in downtown the hotel is walking distance to lots of the city's landmarks. The restaurant downstairs offers good food within budget. The advantage of the free parking helped a lot. Even after check-out you can leave the car there until 5:00 PM.

Couldn't beat the pool and rooftop sundeck and the location was great. Free parking right there was awesome. Everyone I encountered was very nice.
