Rooms need more outlets, rooms very dated.

Checkin was simple and speedy. The hotel was easy to find and the staff was great. Our room had no hairdryer in it so that was a problem but all was well. The room was clean. We instantly got upgraded when we checked in so that was a bonus. I'd recommend this hotel to friends and family for sure!

I had a great stay and the room was very nice. However I'm not from the city so I had no idea where to park and I didn't expect to have to pay for that. I wish that info was provided in getting the hotel booked. It was stressful trying to figure out where to go to park and then have to carry my bags to the hotel. Had one bar closed for repair. Great other than that.

The view of downtown was amazing however the room wasnt as nice as the description made it seem it could of been a better. The room needs to be update there was no bar or pool table like they made it seem on their descrption. The resturant in the hotels food was ok nothing special way over priced as well as the room service. We would not stay at this […] hotel again however it was a great view. 더 보기

We were disappointed with the cleanliness or lack thereof of our room. It was amazing that so many cobwebs could not be seen by housekeeping staff. The feathers in the comforter flew around the room by the handfuls. Be prepared to pay a hefty price for parking -- it is valet parking only and the cost is outrageous!

Hotel room was fine. The escalator was temporarily inop, the restaurant was temperarily closed for some reason and parking was scary and expensive. Bring spare change because you will be asked for it by strangers. I had the same experience there 2 years ago. Maybe it was just bad timing?

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. My only complaints would be that the hotel is a bit dated and the door to our bathroom did not close. Other than that I would recommend this hotel if you are passing through the Columbus area.

Valet can take some time...call ahead to schedule your car. Room service was sometimes backed up, and the wait time to great.

I was very dissatisfied with the customer service. They messed up our reservation and not only did they not fix it but they did nothing to make us happy in return. I would never go back nor would I ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

While the location is perfect due to its proximity to my morning meetings, this hotel suffers from lack updating. The carpets in my room are flithy. this was my second recent stay at this hotel and I found the carpet on my previous stay to be equally as nasty. I cringe to walk barefoot in my room ! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant. However, valet parking was atrocious. We had to wait half an hour for our car to arrive, and the front desk was completely unapologetic. Park in the nearby lot and save yourself some money and headaches.

Very disappointed with our experience. Will never return to this hotel again. It looks high class from the outside or the lobby, but it was not high class at all. Air conditioner in our room was broken, widows did not open and it was 90 degrees and humid out. We stayed here for the fireworks celebration downtown. The hotel was great and the patio is a fun place to relax after the fireworks.

We booked this hotel for an upscale experience. Unfortunately it wasn't quite what we expected. The service staff was very friendly but the hotel itself needs some updates to be qualified as an upscale hotel. Price does not make it upscale. Our first night we couldn't sleep because the air conditioning wouldn't stay on. This was remedied the next day. […] Also on that first evening, we went to dine in the upscale dining room and were seated in their martini bar with very loud patrons who were talking on speaker phone. Apparently there weren't enough customers to warrant seating some people in the actual dining room. My boyfriend had just returned from Iraq and we wanted a nice dining experience. The atmosphere shot that down. The food on the other hand was excellent. We were just disappointed because we expected a lot more than what we received. I would recommend this hotel for a "nice" stay but I would not recommend it as a upscale or higher class hotel. 더 보기

Everything was great. Workout room has good equipment with great view of city. Room is comfortable and bathrooms are large. Only one compliant, they didn't replace my tea bags:(

It was across from the capital. High construction area and a drab downtown location. The lobby was small and unappealing. The rooms were small and unappealing. We had the view of a church across the street, but nothing else worth noting. The room was cold, and the blankets were thin and hard textured. The web advertised flat screened TVs--not so. There […] were limited television stations - sports, news and HBO. Obviously catering to men and not families. I wish they would advertise this fact. My wife and I went away for our 18th anniversary and stayed in Columbus. I had requested a smoking room and they had me registered for a non smoking room. In their behalf, they had 1 smoking room left and they upgraded my room, at no cost to me, to a room with a beautiful view of downtown. They were suppose to bring complimentary wine and assorted chocolate […] confections and they didn't show up. I wasn't too bothered, but my wife was very much looking forward to the chocolates. With 7 kids at home, she very much looks forward to little luxuries when she can get them. The rooms need some general maintenance and upkeep (ie. peeling paint, dirty windows, stuff on floor near baseboard around room-vacuum). The food from room service was excellent and the valets were very courteous and prompt. Overall it was a very nice experience. 더 보기

I usually enjoy a Hyatt property. After my stay I would have enjoyed a tent in the parking lot better. The staff beginning with the valet, through the front desk, to the restaurant were not helpful at best and an obstacle the rest of the time. The only comfort was hearing other guests in the elevator complaining about the front desk not answering the […] phone, rude bellmen and valet attendants. I was going to mention something to the manager on duty but he was already dealing with two guests complaining of poor service and had one more waiting. Hyatt has a new convention center hotel downtown and clearly this property has become the poor stepchild. I should have thought twice when I told my friends I was staying at Hyatt Capitol Square and they asked if it was to late to change to a Motel 6. If I was more creative I would have 99 more ways to tell you that this hotel is cruising on the Hyatt name and a total disappointment. Lastly, this is the first time I have ever posted a survey so do not think I am a problem chronic complainer. 더 보기

I wanted to stay closer to the Convention Center but I waited to long and all the rooms were sold out every where close to there. This was much further than I liked. The hotel is just average but not worth the price. The neighborhood doesn't seem very safe and there is no place to go to get a quick bite to eat without having to walk a mile. The hotel is right downtown and the views from our room was fantastic. Darby's Sports Bar in the hotel was fun, laid back and the bartenders were awesome. Service was excellent.

I do not usually stay in downtown areas, but this time all of my work was downtown, so I made an exception. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed on the 10th floor which gave me a nice view of the city. I did not like the towel/robe hook on the bathroom door. The hook sticks out a good […] 4" from the door (and low on the door - approximately 4') and I bumped into it a couple times. It is a good value if you like the downtown atmosphere, or have business in the downtown area 더 보기

but the air conditioning was not adequate. While the hotel touts a great sports bar, our experience there was less than positive but that had more to do with the service than the food.

Great service and location but the room needed a bit of upgrading attention. the bathroom was nice but the door to my room was constantly jammed and the key wouldn't work regularly. The gym had a great view of the city, but the equipment was run down and some of it was out of order. if you're looking for a comfortable bed, great shower and great service […] in the heart of the city, I'd recommend it. if you're looking for lavish amenities and above-average room quality, book with caution 더 보기

the hotel was very nice and the rooftop fitness facility was VERY NICE

The hotel is in a great location in downtown columbus. My only issue was the outdated rooms. I expected a more modern hotel room. I have stayed in other hotels in the area and they are much nicer and modern. Also, they do not have a airport shuttle. This would be a nice feature. Overall, the service was good.

The hotel overcharge $10.00 per night for a city view that they never mentionted at checkin time.
