I expected an inexpensive motel and that is what it is. With that in mind, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. The reason this motel is ranked where it is (and thus is so inexpensive) is because it is older and is in need of an update. despite what others think --- good or bad. we have realistic expectations and those were met at this motel/hotel. Among its category, this makes it to top. We just needed a clean and comfortable stay and this is that kind of a place.

I would stay and recommend

We were just there enroute to another location and wanted a clean, safe place to sleep. It was that and had a nice breakfast as well. It's showing a little age, but it's a nice place to stay.

We had a nice, clean room with wonderful customer service and an excellent dinner at the Big Texan. Highly recommend.

The bed was truly comfortable, I did not want to get up and get back on the road. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful with eggs and sausages. I loved it.

I went and ate at Big Texan as they picked me up from Travelodge at no charge. Of course, I tipped the driver for bringing such as nice Limo. Room was clean. I used safe when I was out..

Pieces of "something" on the floor, long black hair in the bed. Pet friendly, but, we felt like there were fleas biting us all night. Gross. Considered sleeping in the car until we heard what sounded like a gun shot at 2 a.m.

We were on business in Amarillo and our company employees stayed at Travelodge 5-plus days!! We got what we expected. We didn't flood them with unusual requests (I hope). Staff were friendly and did what they are supposed to do and occasionally went above and beyond. We will stay again!!

We were traveling with our baby and expected that the hotel would have cribs, they didn't! They said that they had a playpen that we could use. When we opened it to set it up it was covered in dried poo!!! When I confronted them about it they called me back 1.5 hours later (11:30 at night) and offered me "a bunch of pillows and sheets to build a blockade […] for the babies bed". Needless to say the baby slept in his carseat (which didn't work well) I ended up staying up most of the night with the baby while my husband got a little sleep. It was the worst night and I will never stay there again. 더 보기

Better than what I expected - clean and easy to find off I 40, exit 68A. Had dinner limo to Big Texan. Was on the way to Oklahoma City

I was in a non-smoking suite; room was clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave. My bed was comfortable. Front desk girls were helpful.

Huge lobby, restaurants nearby! I have been staying here while passing through Amarillo. I see new management doing job!

Was great except my pillows were too high so I had to remove and sleep flat...(a personal problem!)

Stayed Friday night w/wife.Staff very friendly. Easy check-in w/Hotels.com pre-paid reservation. Booked single room w/single king-sized bed. Was given room on bottom floor next to (empty - it''s February) swimming pool. No inside hallways. Room contained king-sized bed, small table w/2 chairs, credenza w/TV, toilet/shower, sink, coffee maker, hair dryer, […] valuable SAFE. Room was clean, but threadworn. Nice, fluffy pillows. Under window heat-A/C unit - heat worked fine.All lights worked, TV worked (cable TV included). Very close to Interstate, but no noise from highway. "Hot" braekfast included - standard continental breakfast fare - waffles, cold cereal, fruit, hot water and instant oatmeal, and the hot part - pre-cooked scrambled egg squares and sausage patties. Microwave after putting egg and sausage on available biscuit - one hot breakfast. Coffee, milk, juices available. Arrived for breakfast at about 8:30 - not enough table space in breakfast area, had to climb flight of stairs to claim last available table on balcony. Area closely attended to by staff.. All staff very friendly and helpful. Bottom line - staff should ask guests if anything needs repair/attention in room at checkout. My room featured some minor issues that could have been quickly resolved if I had remembered to bring them to someone's attention at checkout. Overall, a pleasant experience - two thumbs up. 더 보기

Golds gym access with room key at Travelodge makes me go use the entire Gym for Free. Most hotels only have a room with limited gym items, but Golds Gym has indoor heated pool, saunas, and a wide range of things to do for me upon checkin at no extra charge. It's pet friendly for a small fee, and recently they are offering Hot Breakfast. As I can see, […] it has also been renovated lately. A few good restaurants nearby. Needs some tlc,threshold needs fixed you can see daylight and carpet at bath pulled back exposing metal teeth.o

I liked the service and price. My bed was good. They had good breakfast. Everything was within my expectations....

The worst we've been in since a horrible experience in Ruio Dosa NM. Probably built in the '60s. Lobby was first clue - grubby furniture and a piece of carpet nailed to the wall behind the attendant. Only outside entrances - our second floo room faced North during a cold 40+ mph wind . Outside night lighting was pretty poor. Room had old terribly mis-matched […] furniture. Tile in shower area was moldy. Shower tile scummy as was sink counter. NO sink stopper but it would hardly drain anyway, so that was not an issue. No soap dish and faint remains of the previous visitor was still there. Free breakfast was offered, but neither my wife or I would eat there. I'm not exaggerating , and now I feel better. 더 보기

Didn't pay much; Didn't get much. Room and lobby were clean, with very few amenities. Front desk clerk was disinterested and yawning the entire time of check in. Bed was small, with not much else in the room. Breakfast was minimal.

My non smoking room reaked of cigarette smoke, and the floor was covered in tiny little black specks???? For a few dollars more, there are other, much nicer, far cleaner hotels along the interstate, just a few miles away. I was surprised I didn't bring any bed bugs home with me. This hotel should be offered at half the price for which it is listed.

I normally like breakfast to include something hot and something cold. To my surprise, they had both!! Waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuit with gravy along with cereal, fruit, juice, and coffee. I thought it was awesome!! I recommend Travelodge...Try it out!

At check-in we were assigned the wrong rooms but the situation was corrected right away. Overall the stay was very pleasant.

The only thing good was the price. We had booked for a non smoking room, and then we found cigarettes butts under the bed. We were also told that there would be a microwave and fridge in the room, and there was none. Not sure if I would go back to this hotel. Like I said, " only the price was good!

The hotel is decent and our only complaint is the pillows on the bed. It would take 3 or more to be a real pillow. Bring your own.

Everything was OK - impressed with maintenance, and quality of service from across the street

Nothing to say, just plain and simple nesty, dirty. Nothing good here.

Stuck in town overnight and I needed 1 night stay. I thought this would be an economical simple bed and shower. The front desk staff and lobby to the hotel are actually pretty nice. The breakfast is also decent. However, Beds are pretty old and uncomfortable. Bathrooms are pretty moldy around the tile. I travel through Amarillo, but do not wanna drive to and from my dinner so I call Big Texan upon checkin and they arrive by the time I take shower. After dinner, I get dropped off...Thanks to great service at Travelodge!! I will continue to return.

Travelodge was a great place. It was easy to get to and room was clean. I would recommend to a friend because they are a reasonablly priced for the value they give back to their customers including a free hot breakfast.

I travel a lot there were roaches in my room the staff was rude my room was dirty sleep in ur car would be better

I was on business in Amarillo, TX and thought of checking this out!! Main attraction was Free Hot Breakfast and Free next door Golds Gym access for hotel guests. Looks old, but as they say, place and staff made me remember the proverb "old is gold". The hotel is old and not well-maintained. Trash piled up outside the rooms gave it an even less appealing look. Neighborhood does not feel safe. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but could definitely smell smoke and general mustiness. Beds were way too soft -- no back support at all. Bathroom floor felt grimy, bathtub did not drain well, and […] water felt dirty. (It's not an Amarillo water-supply problem, since the hotel we stayed at on the way back had clean feeling water in the shower.) Carpet felt dirty -- wear shoes/socks! And though it seemed decently vacuumed upon entry,...in the morning when all the bedcovers were no longer down to the floor, you could see little bits and pieces of trash under the corner of the platform bed that had previously been hidden by the comforter. They need to vacuum BEFORE making the beds!!! Our infant son could have found and swallowed one of those trash bits!!! The woman at the front desk was rude and not friendly at all. When we arrived in the room there was a half-smoked cigarette left behind on the bathroom counter top. This was my second visit to this hotel and I will not return!!!!

Friendly staff,fairly quiet,good breakfast,all in all pretty good value for price.
