I stayed two nights with family and i liked my stay. Staff was cooperative. rooms were average but clean. I would like to stay there again for my next trip.

do you like to smoke? do you like the smell of smoke in your non-smoking room, this is the hotel for you

Upon arriving in my room the shower was filthy with dirt and hair. My room was changed as soon as this was brought to the front desk's attention. When getting out of the shower the next morning and grabbing a towel the towel had black stains all over it. I stayed in the hotel becauseI hada lay

Shuttle bus never showed. I took another hotels bus and then walked a mile. Nasty rooms, non existant breakfast.

not bad for a night stay around DTW. the complimentary breakfast is simple but serves the purpose.

The wall paper was peeling, not in one little spot but all the way down the wall in a few different areas. There was mildew in the shower so big I thought it was mold. The lady at the front desk was not friendly at all, she was almost grouchy. But she was uncomfortably nice to my 13 year old son. I can understand why it is not a Ramada anymore.

the staff was very nice and i had no problem it's right off of I94 by some good eating places i would go back there in a heart beat as a OTR driver i have stayed in some run down places but this place is very good for a good night sleep after driving about 8 or 9 hundred miles. and i have all ready told fellow drivers where it is . and the people at […] the bob evans or sweet and very nice and the food is good . you will be hearing from me in the future. thanks hotel.com you are great.you help many travlers save money even truck drivers. 더 보기

THOUSANDS OF ROOM MATES I DIDN'T COME WITH, AKA BED BUGS ROOM 1 OF 3: When I got to the room which was supposed to have a fridge, didn't have one. The TV would not turn on, it was totally busted ROOM 2 OF 3 This room had the fridge When I went to bed and turned the light's off, my who body started to itch. BED BUGS When I turned the lights on, […] my entire body was covered in red blotches, thanks to BED BUGS. ROOM 3 OF 3 I was concerned about more bed bugs, so I left the lights on all night Slept on towels over the bed. The shower was so discussing that I would not use it, The sink at the airport was cleaner than the hotel room CHECK OUT They told me that I don't know what I am talking about. They are trained to check for bed bugs since they had them before. 더 보기

Rate was very reasonable. Is noisy when planes take off towards motel, otherwise it is OK.

Would just suggest that the signage reflect that it is indeed Howard Johnson instead of the Ramada.

This hotel needs to invest in more pillows every hotel I've ever been to has 4 pillows on a king bed this one had 2 this makes no sense then you call the front desk for more they don't have any....smh

Nice service n nice view

I had a recent two night stay at the Howard Johnson's on Flynn (near DTW), formerly Ramada. The front desk folks and manager were fine to deal with and tried their best...but here's my woe(s): Night One: My purportedly non-smoking room had recently been smoked in!!! And I needed (and they provided an immediate exchange) fortunately before I had unpacked […] and undressed for the night. Night Two: Came back from an awesome visit to my alma mater in East Lansing -- about an hour away -- to watch the basketball tournament on TV, etc. There was a malfunction with the smoke detector which chirped like a parrot incessantly. Maintenance was technically off duty, but they called him anyway and he showed up within a reasonable time frame-- after fiddling with the issue, we both thought it was resolved. Not true! I did not/could not fall asleep until 3 a.m. and then my body's time clock woke me up at about 8 a.m. STILL to the un-ending chirping of the defective smoke detector, even with the battery removed!!! It was a night from hell. I woke up like a zombie, NOT like someone on a pleasant trip. On the plus side, staff was most apologetic. They did offer me a comp night on my next stay, which I basically requested for obvious reasons. Other than the hit or miss smoking issue and hit or miss smoke detector (ironic, isn't it?) it's a relatively nice and convenient place to stay flying in or out of DTW... and they did try to make it right, but my second day was literally turned upside down and I left fatigued instead of refreshed and rejuvenated. 더 보기

I found the staff helpful, the room clean and coomfortable. Breakfast was provided in the lobby - help yourself. Tea or coffee was available any time in the lobby. Outside hallways. I found the room a little noisy from traffic and planes. Convenient to get on to highways especially going to Wayne State Univ.

Had a problem with my first rom with the tub. Receptionist did change my room. Had no problem until the morning I had no hot water.

Fairly good hotel, Need some renovation with little more price is OK. Room was comfort, NIce stay at the price I pay. Do not compare with marriot. Very good experience. No any problem. Room has some smoking smell. but not that bad feeling eventhough I do not smoke.

The room was a good deal for the cost. The pillows were nothing like home and the faucet for the bathtub was backwards but overall, it was worth it for the price.

This is a Motel not a Hotel. People outside of your room all night. Even for a Motel, it needs major update!

I thought this was a very nice hotel. A small breakfast was provided to get you started. We stayed in a room that was not connected to the inside and it was a winter snow storm so an inside room would have been better.

The hotel was just as expected and the beds and pillows were above average. The only drawback was that hotels.com advertised this hotel with free parking and shuttle service to the airport. When we arrived we were told it would be 45.00 dollars to park our car and it was offsite.

I can't complain too much with such a low price. Our "smoke-free" room smelled terrible of cigarettes. There was a free continental breakfast and a shuttle to the airport, other than that nothing exciting. Next time I will spend an extra $20 to be somewhat comfortable somewhere else.

For a one night stay this motel was just right in terms of price and proximity to the airport. Understand it has been sold and the new owners are committed to remodeling

I had late flight in to DTW so this hotel was affordable and close to the airport for a over night stay.

Overall a nice stay, Just dont try to check-in early, not even at 2:59:59.... 3:05 or later recomended. Pet deposit hefty, when I was there it was forty for a small pet and fifty for large pet, non-refundable, per pet.....

Hotel had moved from location but once we found it we were very impressed. The shuttle runs 24 hrs. I went to the desk at 3:15 am and the shuttle was there at 3:30. It was a 5 minute ride to the airport. Upon return, we called the hotel and the shuttle picked us up in 10 minutes at the same location as drop off. Very poor accomidation dirty beds

I have stayed here before and recommended it to my sister and mother. When ever I visit Detroit again I will stay here. And the price is right.

The staff were excellent, the location is perfect for park and fly from Detroit Airport, the room was satisfactory and the area is good for getting a quick meal and getting back to your room easily.

This was a Ramada Inn and bought out or taken over by Howard Johnson, hotel is very much needing an overhaul, seems they did nothing but take over and things are old and dirty. Management was very rude to us and there employees, would not recommend at all, stay somewhere else.

we booked our room not knowing that Howard Johnsons charges 4 times the normal pet fee, we were shocked!!! usually hotels charge $10, the lady at the front desk said if we paid cash our pet could stay for $20.00, that was the only issue, nice location and ok for an overnight airport stay.

wonderfull clean, very good price.

good price, room OK but wanted non smoking but the smell was there for sure.
