The hotel staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were terrific - it is worth it to pay extra for a room with a view - the food was fantastic

A lovely hotel looking down onto the city. Quite a steep climb up the hill in the car, but fabulous views from the front of the hotel (once the mist had lifted!). Oslo is an expensive city food prices are very high, although quality is very good. This half way up a mountain hotel knows how to deliver a good dining experience that lessens the pain somewhat. The service is friendly and the breakfast should be taken advantage of. We had a an inclusive breakfast with our booking and it was exceptional. I have rarely […] seen as much as choice, quantity or quality in a hotel. So if you go on a budget make this the main meal of the day which is healthier anyway. Free internet access, pool, sauna and comprehensively equipped gym, whats not to like? We will go again and I will recommend this hotel to my colleagues for longer stays. It is a little out of the way however if you plan correctly you can get into the city centre in about 30 to 40 minutes for 25 kroner one way on the T-bane. A taxi will set you back around 300 Kroner so forward planning is advisable. Loved this hotel. Beds were super comfy, staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was abundant and delish, and the view was gorgeous. The metro (bus at the time, because the end of the metro line was being repaired) worked great to get us into town quickly.

Well the breakfast was excellent! I've been using this hotel since it was re-built in the 70's and have always been very satisfied, indeed we had our wedding reception there. BUT oh my, its time it refurbished and bought itself up to date. Room was gloomy and 70's, a bit shabby and not very clean. The bed linen had a blood stain on it! The reception […] staff were offhand and made us feel like second class citizens because we had booked through Hotels.com! Pity becaue we've alwasy like dthis place, not sure if I ever want to go back. Oh, and by the way NOK150 to park our car and NOK 1,50 per minute to use internet! 더 보기

I don't know if I am just used to the service of upscale hotels in the States, but this hotel; like all the others in Europe does not use bellboys to help with bags. I am disabled and for me, this is a real problem to have to carry my cane and manage to get bags to my room. Otherwise this hotel is wonderful (if you have a car), but expect to spend $100.00 […] to $500.00 (for 2) to eat at the restaurants in the hotel. 더 보기

The price was right and the breakfast outstanding; however, they could have done a better job cleaning the rooms. Specifically the bathrooms.

I chose this hotel because it was much cheaper than city centre hotels at the time of booking. To get to the hotel, we got the underground to Majorstuen and then a bus to Holmenkollen. The Holmenkollen train station is being rebuilt, so taking a train and bus will be necessary until 2011. When you leave the train station, follow the painted footsteps […] on the pavement and it will lead you to the bus stop. Breakfast was great, and there was plenty to choose from. We had dinner once in the hotel in the evening. The food was ok but I'd recommend eating in Oslo city for a better quality meal. If I was returning to Oslo, I'd definately stay here again! 더 보기

This is a nice hotel but the walk to the bus stop to get you to town is a bit steep. Not a problem going to town, but if you have spent a day sightseeing and the like, it is a struggle to get up the hill. Not recommended for anyone not somewhat fit who plans to use public transportation. A taxi to the center of town from the hotel is about 300 NOK.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. Fabulous, highly recommended! If there is any chance back there again, definitely still choose this one.

Compared with other Hotels I have stayed at in Oslo I would rate this the best so far. My three day stay was an enjoyable experience overall. The room was clean and quite spacious with an en-suite toilet and bathroom. I ate in the Buffet restaurant on three occassions for an evening meal. Great location and building, Cracking at the edges tho'. Broken safe, broken mirror, only occasional maid service, crazy internet access system, overcrowded breakfast room in the week. Probably edging towards it's sell by date. Front Desk staff helfull and friendly. Slightly overpriced - even for Norway!

Asuminen tässä hotellissa oli upea kokemus! Työntekijät olivat iloisia ja palvelu oli huippua. Mikään ei varmastikaan enään tunnu miltään tämän hotellikokemuksen jälkeen :) Ruoka oli avain huippua ja aamupala myöskin, suosittelen!

Meget bra hotell med fantastisk utsikt. Skal du ned til sentrum må du nesten ta taxi, tar langt tid og koster en del hvis du skal være mange netter. For jobbreisende vil jeg anbefal et annet hotell hvis de skal på jobb/kurs i sentrum. God og variert mat.

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet på Holmenkollen. Fikk fint rom i hotellets eldre tredje etasje - her kunne man høre støy fra barens pub ut i de sene nattetimer. Vi fikk derfor bytte rom til den nye delen, med en meget fin suite, uten tillegg i prisen. God service og fine rom. Helhetlig godt inntrykk av hotellet!

Veldig god frukost! Skuffa over at det bare var pizza å få om kvelden den dagen vi var der! Måtte til Frognerseteren for å få middag. Sov godt i gode senger!

Flott hotell ved Holmenkollen anlegget. Herlig frokost og god service

Var på dette hotellet for første gang. Rommene er helt vanlige, men med flott utsikt for de som vender utover. Den gamle delen av hotellet er nydelig å se på. Frokosten er og veldig bra, men vi fikk ikke spist noe middag her. Hotellet ligger like ved holmenkollbakken og man kommer enkelt til byen med holmenkollbanen. Ett helt OK hotell med flott utsikt […] og herlig frokost. Og så er det stille rundt hotellet i motsetning til hotell i sentrum. 더 보기

Måtte bytte rom etter først natten. Ble da nedgradert fra fint til gammelt og slitt. Dårlig service i resepsjon. Middag ble alt for dyrt i forhold til kvaliteten. Du betaler veldig mye for utsikten. Mange av rommene har ingen utsikt - dvs. du betaler kanskje mye for ingen ting..

Behagelig start på uka med oppholdd fr a søndag til mandag.

Ved siden av en utrolig beligenhet på "toppen" av Oslo" så serverer hotellet en fantastisk forkost

En famille, nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'hôtel: situé à 25 minutes en métro du centre en prenant la ligne 1 directe. L'hôtel présente de bonnes infrastructures avec une partie en bois et l'autre plus récente. Le déjeuner est délicieux: viennoiseries, plats chauds, fruits frais, jus de fruits. Piscine, fitness et jacuzzi gratuits, très peu fréquentés, […] donc calmes et agréables après une journée d'activités touristiques. Petit restaurant en contrebas de l'hôtel tout à fait intéressante, point de rencontre de nombreux Osloïtes. Nous recommandons fortement cet hôtel.
