Good stuff. Spent a January weekend with the girlfriend and was really impressed. Nice staff (good at English) great location (If you are up for 15 min walks you reach the Vatican, Spanish steps, Fountana di Trevi, shopping district etc). The standard double room was maybe not the biggest we've seen, but the cleanliness was top notch, bed comfy and […] thats what matters to us (spending 99 percent of the time our running around in town anyhow). Thumbs up for the great breakfast as well, that generously was served between 6.30 and 10 in the mornings. We were a bit confused about the hours the fromt desk was open before we left (info said different things in different places), which could have been troublesome since we arrived by flight well past midnight. Happy to say they were staffed 24/7 even in off season. Am I being overly positive? In that case it might have something to do with the fact that my girlfriend became my fiancee during the visit! :) But nah, we loved the hotel even before that magic night.We will definately be staying in Diplomatic again. 더 보기

Rooms in front facing street were noisy ( Rms 102-104) . Staff was okay, a little testy when I asked to use a credit card to pay the city tax at the end. Otherwise, it was a safe, decent, clean place to stay.

The hotel is very well located near some of the must see attractions fo Rome, like Piazza Navona, St Angelo Castle and the Vatican. The service was very good, and the rooms clean and comfortable.

We chose this hotel for a 2 night stay after our completed tour of London and Paris. After having been to Rome last year with a tour, we decided to come back. We chose the The Diplomat because after reading the reviews, we wanted to be as close to everything as possible. The rooms were clean. The beds were a little too firm but we still slept great. […] The breakfast was really good. Very light but that is what Europe is noted for. Don't expect an elaborate breakfast of what Americans are used too. We would definitely recommend The Diplomat for a short stay in Rome. 더 보기

At first it seems a very small hotel, but the room I had was of a very fair size. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel location is excellent; very close to the Spanish Steps, Saint Angel Castle and the Vatican City. Also, there are couple of train stations very close, about 5 to 10 minutes walking distance and right at front of the […] hotel, there is a bus stop which takes you to the Colosseum and other areas. The location is great. Our room, facing the inner garden was very quiet and very clean The only improvement needed was that there was not enough guidance to tourists - bus maps, directions and such.

Pretty convenient location. Bus stops at the entrance of the hotel. Fair breakfast. Note that there is no air conditioning, it's very noisy to open the window as it's facing the street, yet it will be very hot if you leave it shut.

This is a centrally located wonderful hotel directly on the #87 bus line and a convenient walk (for walkers) across the Ponte Cavour to the neighborhood of the Spanish Steps and its metro station. The 87 line runs through the heart of Rome east of the river to the Foro Romani and the Coloseum. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating with great advice […] on transportation. We felt the room price off season was a good value and included a nice continental breakfast with coffee, juice, wonderful pastries, cereals, fruit, cold cuts and cheeses. The breakfast room is generously sized, but get down to breakfast earlier than 10:00 on weekends as seating is limited if all guests show up at the same time. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and included a safe. Our stay was over all quite but old buildings do let in hallway noise when guests are coming and going with luggage. Get your bus tickets at any tabocconist or but them on the #87 self service machine for 1 Euro Three stars is a perfect rating for this hotel. it is an elegant and charming place but over all small and low frills. So if you want, clean, comfortable safe, centrally located and convenient to a tourist bus line to many of Rome's top sites and walking distance to many others such as the Vatican or Spanish Steps and its high end shopping then this is a perfect place to stay. Bring your passports! The hotel requires them for all guests There is no hotel parking and the (relatively) nearby overnight lots are pricey (especially if parking a big car) ie 24euro per day. if arriving from Termini just take the red line to the Spagna station or inquire about busses to the central bus terminal and them pick up #87 which picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel! 더 보기

This hotel was very nearly exactly what the other guests had described. The internet is not free, the hotel staff was not very helpful, the free breakfast did not include a lot of variety, there was only one plug in the room and that was in the bathroom. The beds were very firm and the pillows were flat. I was hoping that for the price, it would serve […] as a base camp and we wouldn't spend much time there but we spent a little bit more time there than we had anticipated. Get all your drinks from around the corner in one of the shops and save a lot of money compared to the drinks in the room. When we checked in, the person at the desk required us to hand over both our passports so he could make a copy of them for the use of the internet and for the police. I still don't understand this and am curious what happened to the copies of our passports since we didn't use the internet (since it wasn't free). Overall, not a good experience. 더 보기

My college student son and I stayed here for several days in May 2010 after our flight home was cancelled. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and only wished we had stayed here at the beginning of our vacation as well (which started in Rome before hitting the road for other parts of the country). The bathroom was 'American' style with full tub and […] shower; the bed was almost soft compared to the rock-hard beds in the rest of the country - by far the most comfortable of any we stayed at in Italy. The room was twice as large as some others we stayed in and the couch/single bed and table and chairs made the room very comfortable to spend a little down time in. Best of all, breakfast was served until 10:30 (perfect for late nights diners - whereas elsewhere breakfast ended at an impossible 8:30) and could be taken in an outside courtyard; plus the capuccinos were almost American size. The neighborhood is wonderful - quiet and not overly commercial but with several restaurants within one block open late - and only one block from a bridge over the river. The location is great - very convenient - the nearest metro (Spagna - Spanish steps) is a beautiful 10 min walk, (about 10-15 to the Vatican), but buses stop right in front of the hotel for routes that take you all over the city - much faster than the metro in many cases and much more interesting. Another major bus stop for other lines is only one block up at Piazza Cavour. The taxi to downtown train station Termini was only about 10 Euro. The front desk staff are on duty 24/7 and were very helpful with directions and bus selections but purchasing a city bus map at any metro station will liberate you to travel confidently on your own all over town. The street rooms are noiser than rear rooms but nothing compared to other places we stayed. For the same money we had spent our first few days in Rome at other hotels that were absolutely dismal, including one on the same block, that were run down with cramped rooms, rock hard 더 보기

This hotel had a great location. However, the staff that worked the front desk (both day and night) for the first two days of our stay were rude beyond belief. They were condescending and short with us when we asked such simple questions as "what is the easiest way to get to______." The third day of our stay the front desk staff was very nice - why […] couldn't we get them earlier. The bed was hard, but I think this is a given in Europe. The bathroom was nice, our room was tiny, but for the location, this was okay. The breakfast was sufficient. The hotel was wonderful but I would ask for a room off of the street next time. The road traffic is loud.

We would definately stay here again. Location was great. The staff pleasant and very helpful. We would request the same room because we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after a long day of sightseeing.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and we were EXTREMELY satisfied! The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. It was also moderately priced and well worth every penny. The staff was courteous and spoke English, but also were able to help us with our Italian. Upon the suggestion of another review, we requested an inside room upon arrival. We can't […] say what the noise level would have been in an outside room, but our choice was very, very quiet. The Rome 100 tour bus (and other buses) stop right in front of the hotel. There was a restaurant down the block recommended by the hotel and we were extremely pleased with it. The hotel is very close to the Castel Sant' Angelo and St. Peter's Square. If you're taking the Vatican Mueseum tour, the entrance is on the NORTH side of Vatican City - there are better and shorter routes to take from the hotel to the museum entrance rather than going through St. Peter's Square. First, the good: the room was clean, the location was excellent, and the bedding was comfortable. On the negative side the air conditioning did not work very well, and the WiFi connection (which you had to pay for by the hour) did not work very well. We visited this hotel as a family for my mothers 60th birthday Myself and my husband took our 9 month old baby and the hotel were great at accomodating us both at breakfast and in helping to cool the room particularly as it was about 40 degrees every day. I was prepared to stay in a very small space and not have the polite American service that we are accustomed to. This hotel was in a great location, the bus stop right outside the front door will take you anywere in Rome you want to go and it's very cheap. The restaurants around the hotel and much better, and cheaper, than the ones that are in really touristy areas. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Het hotel is niet overdreven luxe. De kamers zijn schoon en voorzien van een keurige toiletgroep. Het ontbijt is ruim voldoende voor een verblijf van een paar dagen. Verwacht geen roereiren, of een gekkokt eitje, maar wel sap, koffie, thee, croissants, broodjes etc. Beleg prima. Rent fräscht hotell med frukost som var mer än minimal continental. Bra flerspråkig service i receptionen och rejält tilltagen Safetybox på rummet. Enda minus är att - i vårt tycke […] - sängarna var något väl hårda utan extrakuddar, en smaksak! Simpático para uns dois dias.

Vårt sällskap, en familj fyra personer i två rum, vistelse på 7 dygn. BRA: Ligger cirka 8-900 meter från deras stora huvudgata (jämfört med Stockholm, från deras drottninggatan). Colloseum 10 min bort med en buss som bokstavligen går utanför hotellet och stannar utanför Colloseum. Cirka 15 minuter promenad från Spanska trappan. Taxistolpe finns 1 min […] från Hotellet, minimarket, lite restauranger, pizzerior och ett par butiker ligger ett par stenkast ifrån. Wifi och frukostbuffé fanns. Rummen är tillräckligt stora, har tv, telefon och för det mesta bra utsikt. Personalen finns tillgängliga dygnet runt och pratar bra engelska och även ett par andra språk (ej svenska dock). DÅLIGT: Ja frukostbuffé är ju oftast bra, men variationen är väldigt lite här, en-två brödtyp/er, en osttyp och en sorts skinka, varje dag och tyvärr var det inte gott alls. Av 7 dygn vi bodde där, funkade deras wifi-nätverk 3 dagar. Dem hade något problem med nätverket, vilket kan hända vilket företag som helst, men det fanns inga tecken på att det var prio att fixa det. När vi checkade ut fyra dagar efter att problemet uppstått, funkade fortfarande inte Wifi. 더 보기

E' sufficiente attraversare il tevere per visitare i più importanti monumenti della città e per fare shopping in via del corso e via condotti. I punti forti dell'hotel sono la pulizia e la colazione abbondante.

Jag (18 år vid resan) for tillsammans med min pappa till Rom för första gången i början av november. På hotellet mellanlandade vi och vilade fötterna, och vilket ställe att mellanlanda på! Det känns litet när man kliver in genom dörrarna, men kvalitet kan jag lova att ni får. En robust stil präglar hela hotellet, med massiva stendiskar och rejäla skänkar. […] Så det är inget IKEA-tänk, men vad gör det? Vi sov bra, rummen var väl städade när vi kom tillbaka på eftermiddagarna och kände att vi hittat ett hotel med lagom standard. Läget var alldeles lagom: 2 minuter mot Vatikanen och Castel St Angelo, och kanske 10 mot Spanska Trappan & Fontana di Trevi. Frukosten är inte av svensk standard: vitt bröd, yoghurt och wienerbröd är vad som erbjuds. Kaffet var superbt. Personalen tipsade om en bra restaurang som låg 50 meter bort, som vi blev helsålda på. Jättebra mat, trevlig personal och vilken atmosfär sen! (Vito's heter restaurangen) Annars så postade personalen våra vykort och var tillmötesgående och frågade om vi behövde transport till flygplats osv. Det man skulle kunna klaga på var bemötandet av frukostpersonalen, de var lite väl ihopsnörpta och inte så service-minded. Dessutom kan det vara lite trångt i duschen om man är bredaxlad. Ventilationen var heller inte helt bra, men det var härligt att kunna ha fönstret öppet i november. Vi la till någon tusenlapp och fick ett lite finare rum än ett standard dubbelrum. Då fick vi soffa och troligen en extra kvadratmeter. Rummet vette mot gatan och det var ganska rushigt hela dygnet, men vi hade inga problem att sova. Jag kan starkt rekommendera hotellet. 더 보기

Stayed here for three nights at the end of a three week vacation. The hotel is almost perfectly situated close to most tourist sights, next door to the Hall of Justice. Within a 10-15 minute walk you can find the St. Angelo Church, the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, Augustus Mausoleum, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. This is a superb hotel for the price paid. Close to the city centre and bus stops (piazza Cavour) walking distance to the Vatican and Spanish Stairs. We had a short stay (4 days) but we will be back for sure. Hotel has nice and helpful service, the breakfast simple but good.

Très bon accueil. l'hotel est très bien situé.

Hotellet ligger rigtig godt. Gå afstand til Vaticanet og den Spanske trappe. Morgenmad var ok. Bestod af 3 slags pålæg og 2-3. Ikke det vilde men gav en fin bund. Sengen på værelset var meget hård. Det trækker noget ned. Alt i alt et ok hotel.
