The gentleman that checked us in was absolutely perfect !!! Offered my mother a chocolate chip cookie, warmed in a little oven- nice touch. The entire hotel was redone from when I first stayed there 5 years ago. Nice carpet and furniture and places to work on the computer or charge your phone. Very nice spot

Room that was booked way ahead of time was not availabe or ready. But, the hotell folksnfixed the situation.

The care the hotel staff took to ensure a lovely stay even while the hotel was undergoing construction was absolutely wonderful. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful. Hotel was clean and quiet. Highly recommend.

The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bar/restaurant in the lobby was kind of dated, like from the 80s. The only drawback to this place is that the entire thing is under construction. The lobby was completely ripped apart, and the checkin desk is in the restaurant. Under construction, so our room was wonderful, but no amenities in the building to suit us, due to the construction. Will wait a year before considering again.

Hotel is decent, no frills. Staff is warm and friendly. Unfortunately the lobby and pool are still under renovation as of 1/15/12 which was not advertised when I made the reservation. It was so sad when we arrived and our daughters realized the pool was under construction.

Convenient to all highways Staff is very friendly and helpful Rooms are comfy Will stay there again!

This would normally be a nice place to stay (although overpriced for an ex-urban hotel). However, it is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION--something I didn't learn from the hotels.com website. The pool and spa (must-have amenities for the price and considering the 13-hour drive to get there) were closed, as was the main entrance to the hotel. There were […] jackhammers running from the early morning and the restaurant area (where guests entered and exited) was cold and smelled like concrete dust. Our room was standard, with newer carpeting and bedding. However, it was unusually loud. I could easily hear the conversation in the room next door, and discovered that the two rooms connected through 2 doors that could be locked from inside each room. When I called the desk to complain I was immediately given another, comparable room. When the renovations are complete this would be fine for someone who only wanted a somewhat more upscale place to crash for the night near I-95. 더 보기

biggest disappointment no pool or jacuzzi due to construction,should have been told in advance.restaurant over priced .check in very hospitable and friendly.this was the second time we stayed here,yes we would come back.

Hotels.com notes that the bathtubs are "jetted". I opened the door to find a regular bathtub - not a big deal, but lame. Hotel listing also shows a gorgeous pool, however, Hotels.com failed to update and/or mention the fact that the pool is under construction and thus inaccessible. This hotel is in need of a facelift. I have stayed here many times. The rooms have always been clean and the service excellent. The location is convenient for the places I normally visit. The only negative is that the restaurant is overpriced but fortunately I usually eat elsewhere.

The check in people were nice and cordial. I had asked for a non-smoking room, but when I got off the elevator all I could smell was cigarette smoke. My room appeared to be clean at first glance, but it wasn't. As a matter of fact, I had to change my room because there was feces still in the toilet with the toilet paper. Needless to say, it was down […] hill for me from that point on. Yes, my room was changed but after that, I felt the new room just wasn't clean. Sorry. While it may have been coincidental, I don't think I would try this site again. Perhaps in another area. When I called to the lobby the clerk was nice and responded by moving me to another room.In short, I felt they should have atleast offered to bring the key to me instead of making me take my luggage all the way back to the desk. I also felt they should have atleast offered to discount my room or a discount on a future visit. Don't buy into the advertisement of the indoor pool. We picked this particular hotel solely because of the advertisement for the interior pool. Only problem is, there is NO interior pool. It is under construction.

The Doubletree Columbia offered a comfortable and spacious room for a reasonable price. I found the room to be very clean and the staff were very friendly. The water in the shower was hot even during the morning rush. One small complaint on the shower curtain which would not stay in place on the curved shower bar.

The service was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was pleasant. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to stay there.

Hotel was not bad. Room was clean and comfortable but bathroom very small. Pool and Hot tub were closed "until further notice". When I complained about this (I was travelling with 3 kids really looking forward to the pool) I was told there was nothing they could do since I had prepaid.

I was comfortable with my room but when I tried to connect to the internet I was unable to get anything higher than 1small bar. I called the front desk to see what was wrong and they stated I could come down and get a "bridge" to connect to my computer. That gave me 1 1/2 bars, I returned it and advised them their "bridge" was broke and I needed another. […] This gave me the same connectivity. It kept dropping me off line and was VERY slow. I needed to access the internet for the business I was there for. Made the stay frustrating. If they acquire a better internet access for their customers it would be a better stay. 더 보기

room was very clean, fully stocked and extremely neat. The beds are very comfortable and walls are thin. However, a great stay at this hotel and loved their cookies!

After a long road trip this hotel was great final destination. The bed was extremely comfortable my only issue is that we were given a handicap room. I would have preferred a tub to a shower but overall great experience.

Lock on the door failed twice, stranding us outside of our room. The bathroom light went out and the bedside light kept flickering. Morning buffet service was sporadic and inconsistent.

The kids and I decided to take an overnight vacation so we could attend a church in Baltimore. We didn't want to stay in Baltimore due to the Grand Prix. This was an extremely nice hotel, the staff were very friendly, and we loved the cookie. It's kind of a hidden hotel, but I didn't mind that too much because that meant less traffic and noise. The […] only "downside" was that stale hotel-like smell once you get off the elevators. My daughter was the first to comment on it, as many hotels have that same smell. It is a nice place. Unfortunately its interior color is yellow, not an easy color to keep spiffy with age. The main problem, though, is that the rooms are old enough so that they don't have near enough electrical outlets to service the modern traveler. We had to buy a power strip to make it work for us. This DoubleTree location is quite convenient in the Baltimore/Columbia area. Very good service, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. Especially nice that the rooms and halls etc were quiet - great for sleeping. The restaurant/bar, however, needs a manager who can efficiently run both venues and serve the customers' needs/requests.
