The only gripe I had was tha the water in the tube never emptied out in the shower. I ended up showering with a tube full of water. Other than that, the condition of the hotel and staff were great.

Staff was friendly and responsive. Room was great! The hotel was perfect for our little weekend get away!

I got a two queen bed suite for my bachelorette party and it was large enough for everyone to hang out and mingle before heading out. the pull out couch and two beds made it spacious enough for people who did not want to drive home. the small kitchen was great to keep food in. This hotel was great an the staff was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. The walk to the Galleria mall was so easy and surrounding area is nice.

This is a dated hotel but usually priced appropriately. During this stay, hotel room demand was high and the room rate was very high. The location and cleanliness is good, it's just a dated hotel and this time, way overpriced. I feel they took advantage of the situation.

room1710 smelled like milldew wall paper was coming off walls repairs was done to room very sloppy water damage was clear to see on room walls called to get something done about smell room was sprayed that lasted 20 mins it took longer to come spray the room then the spray lasted in the room the stay was bad and not clean my 18 month old got a rash […] from the nasty bed waspoorly made looked like people set down and talked leaven the bed half made the only thing good about the stay was the chicken tenders and the young guy at the bar he was very nice to my family but i will never stay there again for nothing 더 보기

Very nice. Greeted me with a warm smile and a warm cookie. Upgraded my room for free and helped me with directions and everything I asked for. Only complaint was the building is old and the elevators were a bit scary. Thetraffic was also horrible. Dont stay on a weekend unless you have an hour to get where you are going.

Great location, they were very accomodating and exceeded my expectations!

There was a problem with the tub drain in our room. I ocntact the front desk and the problem was fixed when returned that evening. They also offered to move us to a better room, which we declined, because the room we were was great and the problem had been corrected. The hotel and staff were very nice. The only bad thing was the parking. Hotel had other events going on and this made hotel parking horrible. We were told to park in the Valet parking but that to was full. As a result I had to circle regular parking over and over again until someone left. Parking during the day is fine but after 10 pm, GOOD LUCK!

The room assigned to me was dark and he AS was insuficient to keep the room at a confortable temperature. The restaurant personnel were supportive and cordial.

The receptionists are very friendly, the rooms are average... and that is about all I can say. This hotel has been here for a very long time and needs a major refreshing. There are other better choices for the money or even for 30 dollars more per night in the area. Better to pay a little more and enjoy your stay much more.

I made reservations for my wife and I on New Years Eve. Yes, I understand that it is a busy evening but this went beyond that. Upon arrival we had to park at the rooftop of the parking garage. We had to walk down the parking garage stairs to get to the floor level. We had to dodge broken bottles, trash and glass on the way down the stairs. When checking in the lady explains to me that they did not have a king room available like my reservation stated. She stated that they could not guarantee a king room rsvp done thru a third party (Hotel.com) service. After a bit of complaining they suddenly found a room available. We proceeded to go to the elevator and wait 20 minutes in line. Only one of four elevators were operating. As we arrived on our floor we noticed it was extremely noisy. Once entering the room we noticed it was either still occupied or had not been cleaned. A baby crib was in the middle of the floor, bed unmade and tub full of water. We closed the door immediately and went to use the house phone in the hallway. It of course did not work. we called from my cell phone to let them know the room was not available and they said they would send a bellhop up to give us another key to another room. After waiting 30 minutes we decided to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else. It was a nightmare of a visit from beginning to end. 더 보기

Excellent location & service. There was a glitch w/hot hot water.It took about a30 hours to fix. Manager took extra care to fix the problem. And gave generous compensation. I'll absolutely recommend the hotel to anybody.

In the Houston Galleria shopping mecca, the location could not be beat. The full kitchen was indispensable- we were visiting for Chritsmas and enjoyed being able to cook the traditionals to take to a family gathering. The bellhops were the best ever. The hotel was better then I thought, the suite was huge, myself and my guests absolutely loved it. I will be staying there again.

All staff were top notch in my opinion, from doormen, reception, breakfast buffet waiters. I would definitely stay there again. Suite room was super nice with plenty of space, good light and comfortable bed, clean sheets.

Recently stayed at Doubletrees Galleria area of Houston for 12 nights. It was a trip for hospital visits so it was important to be comfortable and have more than your average amenities of a hotel room. I selected a suite so that we could cook meals and spread out comfortably with two rooms rather than all in one with just a microwave. The kitchen was […] old and dingy. The cooker hood did not take cooking odours away and the fan merely blew cooking smells around the room. These odours remained in the room for the rest of the stay. Prior to this the room had a damp/mouldy smell to it. We had to request pots and pans and were given two pots, one fry pan and a grill pan. Implements were of poor quality and sparse. No decent knives for cooking at all. Tea was never replenished although coffee was. The bathroom had no air extractor. The ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy and sink was cracked. There was hair on the floor on our arrival and it never really got well cleaned throughout the stay. Towards the end of our stay the windows were constantly running with condensation and the surround of the windows were noted to be covered in mould....... The convenience of the hotel was great for us as was the space of this type of room however I did not feel the hotel rated anywhere near the ratings I'd seen on this website - not based on the room we had. I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone who has a preference for clean, modern and well kept accommodation. A charge for WIFI in the room these days is unacceptable! We didn't bother paying it as you could use free wifi in the lounge on 2nd floor - this remained usable in the rooms too! They charged $16 plus tax for parking including the day we checked out by 8am! Very pricey for guests in the hotel for 12 nights! 더 보기

We have stayed at this hotel every year around Thanksgiving for many years. With a family of 5, it's the only way to go! With 2 queen beds in one room and a spacious living area with queen sofa bed (not the most comfortable), it fits our family perfectly. Plus, we love having a kitchen in the room. The breakfast downstairs is quite nice and a great […] deal (free) for Hilton Gold members. While the rooms can be a little worn around the edges, the beds are marvelously comfortable. And as a mom of three teens and almost teens, what I mostly want is a good night's sleep and a little room to myself. I get both here. 더 보기

We were a group of 4 couple that went to the TAMU tu game in Thanksgiving and then stayed in Houston from Fiday to Monday. The hotel location and space is very good. But on one room sewage water was comming out of the lavatory trap and the other we could not turn on the heater. We arrived late evening and the Desk attendant was not very nice. For the Galleria area the hotel was not kept up the bathroom toilet flushed slow you had to stand there and hold the handle down, the shower was moldy and the employees were rude. I am a hilton honnors member which is why I choose this hotel , but I will not be back.

Very dated decor, appliances and layout of the suite. Location is great and friendly staff.

The suite was nice and spacious for four women, speaks volumes!!! I loved the cookies and how willing the staff was to help me with any request that I may have had. The hotel was located near fine shopping and dining. I loved, loved, loved this hotel!!!

We celebrated our 1st anniversary with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren (7 and 4). What a great time! We loved the rooms, the hotel staff were great and the shuttle service was very fast to respond to our several outings. This was the 1st hotel stay for our grandchildren and they really had a great time! It was so nice of the front desk […] to put us next door to each other. The gym had all precor equipment in good shape. Variable incline ellipticals were great.

My review would have been excellent if it wasn't for the cold water shower...they got it fixed but it took some time to do so.

The Doubletree in Houston, Texas is very accommodating. The Service is excellent and the People that work there are very nice and always helpful in anyway they can be. We always stay there when we are in Houston and will continue to do so . Thank you for your amazing service!

The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient, we had a spacious, comfortable room, and the bed was so great, I wish I could have slept in a few more hours. The welcoming we received and all the help from the front desk was great. They were always helpful, responsive and really sweet. The executuve sweet size was really sweet too. Though not high-end and fancy, the place was enormous and clean. Location of hotel is ideal. Overall We loved our stay and would return again.
