get to the continental breakfast early, otherwise it's slim pickings. the wait staff was attentive but basically told us in so many words "too bad" when we inquired about the lack of food at breakfast. great location, all other services were great.

We enjoyed it alot this is our second year hear at this Hotel in Santa Barbara.

I love staying at the Montecito Inn!! I use it as my getaway from LA. It is clean. The rooms are beautiful and tranquil. Rooms need updating but the staff are wonderful. Love the location.

The carpet needs changing; was spotty and looked dirty, though I'm sure it was technically clean. Shower door frame was all rusty. Worst was the smelly potpourri that made it difficult for me to be in the room; I kept the window open all night but it was still stinky by my standards. If they want the air in the room to smell fresh then use baking soda […] not smelly things, to which some people are really allergic. Lobby, public areas and valet were all great. The only problem with this place is they charged me $58 for parking from 11 pm to 8 30 AM And no mention of it it was just on my bill Really it's not newyork Chuck

My husband and I took a mini get away and it was great. Cute but not over the top, very comfortable bed. Pool looked inviting but we didn't use it. We took a nice moonlit walk down to the beach and along the street the hotel is on and checked out a couple of restaurants and window shopped. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My stay though brief was all first class

We returned to the Montecito Inn for the third time. I don't think you can beat the value and location. It is a very well maintained older hotel, originally built by Charlie Chaplin. The surrounding town of Montecito is our all-time favorite place along the California coast and we are natives of Orange County. Just get a room that is closer to the front […] and you won't hear any freeway noise, but even that isn't bad. Nice continental breakfast included. Lots of great places to see, beach, mission, drives, Montecito Village, antiques, great restaurants, Coffee Bean, Starbucks, Pierre LaFond Deli and Molly's. Can't beat the area! Recommended! 더 보기

I was very happy with our recent stay at the Montecito Inn this past weekend. As soon as we arrived, we felt very comfortable and happy with our choice to stay there. At check in they informed us of a continental breakfast they serve to hotel guests from 7-10 am which was great, and they have bikes that hotel guests can use for free which was such an […] added perk! Our room was quaint but comfortable and very well decorated. It had everything we needed to enjoy our one night stay. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side but it was beautiful with the colored tiles they used on the walls. The only thing I didnt love were the thin walls- you could hear people next door and people in the halls. I understand its an older hotel so it wasnt a big issue for us but just keep in mind when booking the hotel. Honestly, this will be our hotel of choice in the Santa Barbara area as it is in a great location, walking distance to all of the great restaurants and shops and you are just up the street from the Biltmore which has incredible ocean views. We were able to ride our bikes from the hotel to the downtown SB area which was such a wonderful day adventure. I will definitely be coming back again! 더 보기

I had a lovely room where the window was at the South end of the building. It was a perfect night to sleep by an open window. However, there was a very loud generator making a lot of noise at the structure next door. Can they do anything about that?

This is a nice hotel that both my wife and I enjoyed. They give you keys for your room instead of a key card which adds to the overall cozy feeling of this hotel. The bathroom wasn't very but then why do you need a lot of room in a bathroom. Room decor gave you a homey feeling and room was clean. There are shops and food places within walking distance and give you the feeling of being in a small town. You can ride your bike down to the beach using the bike trail, we wish we brought our bike . I WOULD SAY BATHROOMS NEED MORE SPACE---VERY VERY SMALL AND NOT REDESIGNED CORRECTLY . MIRROR RECESSED INTO WALL AND OUR ROOM HAD NO SMALL SWING MIRROR LIKE OUR SON.S HAD, TOILET PAPER HOLDER BEHIND TOILET. PLZ GIVE KUDOS TO OMAR --HE WAS AT HOTEL 2 YRS AGO AND WE SPOKE WITH HIM AGAIN. ASSET TO THE INN.

This is a historic hotel which was built in the 1920's. Charlie Chaplin was an original investor, and pictures of Chaplin add to the atmosphere. The hotel is close to the beach and shops in Montecito. Staff is very friendly.

The walls were so thin that it felt like the loudly snoring man in the next room was in my bed. I could hear conversations, etc. Charming hotel but not for a good nite's sleep.

Having stayed there before, I had a much better experience this time at half the rate. Hotels.com got me a great price and it was a very good room.

Our stay at the Montecito Inn was OK, and the location was wonderful. The staff were in general pleasant and helpful, though somewhat unsimpathetic when we complained about the paint fumes that invaded our room in the late evening!! Why the decision was made to paint late in the evening remains a mystery. My wife and I found the fumes quiet disturbing. […] We open our only window to the loud sounds of dishes being washed at the neighboring restaurant! We over heard staff discussing and laughing about the numerous complaints they had experienced that evening.That being said, our room was comfortable and the location to little down town Montecito was wonderful. We'd actually consider staying there again mainly because of the location 더 보기

Wonderful hotel, small and quaint and excellent service. The fact that the Inn has a very good restaurant within it helps. Would highly recommend it to anybody who travels to the Santa Barbara area.

we can hear traffic noise from our room. although wifi is available in the whole hotel, we couldnt get wifi in the room. i end up having to work in the lobby.

Only complaint was no airport shuttle. $60 to the airport was ridiculous and I live in San Francisco!! If I didn't need to be near Montecito, I'd dtay in SB.

My family and I enjoyed a fun weekend in Montecito last weekend. This hotel had a classic, vintage atmosphere. My room was a little small, but clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for couples in search of a getaway spot.

The Montecito Inn is quaint and charming with lots of Charlie Chaplin memorabilia, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the hotel is noisy. I would only recommend this place to a big Chaplin fan, but even then you could just try the restaurant and call it a day.

I have been going to this hotel for years. A long time ago, it was Charlie Chaplan's summer house. Hotel service is very high - they always go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. This hotel is just a short walk from the beach and minutes by car away from Santa Barbara. This hotel is also very comfortable.

Great place with tons of character and great staff.. Access via complimentary bikes to bike trails, state street, and beaches of Santa Barabara was great. Access to highway 101 for exploration beyond the bikes was great. The downside is the highway noise given its proximity to 101, would highly recommend.

Love the location and neighborhood. Quint hotel with nice basic amenities but carpets and uphosltery look dirty. Generally the staff are helpful and friendly but some staff at the counter are aloof and unfriendly. Overall it's a nice inn but would be better if the carpets and uphosltery are cleaner and counter staff more friendly.

Very clean, nice, but small.

The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom had very nice Spanish tiles in them. The rooms are small and the bathroom is even smaller (shower stall only) but that is to be expected with an older hotel. Very nice lobby and great service overall. I checked out early (5am) and an older man was in charge of the front desk. He wasn't too friendly or talkative […] and there was no bellhop or valet available. Also the "complementary" breakfast costs $8.00. It's not a lot of money for breakfast but it shouldn't be called complementary if it costs money. I did order room service and got the leg of lamb which was fantastic! They also have a very good wine list and the fridge in the room is stocked with a great selection of imported beers. Right on the main drag in Montecito but you will need a cab or a car if you are looking to get into Santa Barbara. Side note: it is very close to the Sea Spa which is a wonderful place to go for spa services. 더 보기

Our room was attractive and comfortable. Staff was friendly to us. The hotel even had free beach bicycles that we rode to a nearby beach. We had a very positive time there, and Santa Barbara was just a quick drive away. The small, main street in Montecito has great restaurants and is a lovely town.

Charming little inn, keep in mind that it is almost 100 years old. Room was small but comfortable and tidy. Staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions. Great location, restaurants and shopping just steps away. Just a short drive to downtown Sana Barbara. We loved the many original features of this hotel- our hand painted tiles in the bathroom were amazing- The service was exceptional and the staff very friendly. We made use of the free bike hire and cycled everywhere on our two night, three day stay. Even our three teengae girls loved this hotel, citing it as one of their favourites. It was very comfortable. […] The local area, bars and restaurants were all amazing. Our cycle to the beach took less than 5 mins and was in a great area just opposite the Four Seasons! Cycling around Sanat Barbara was fun and very easy to do. We managed to lock our bikes up on the main street, just outside what ended being a favourite restaurant! It cab get warm as there is no bedroom air con, but we closed the shutters and left the ceiling fan on for our entire stay.... very Agatha Chrisite!! 더 보기

It was cozy because of its early 20th century dimensions but very elegantly maintained.

Upon check in we were told continental breakfst is $8.00 pp... plz let them know the night before if wanted. In the room however,( a bit shabby, needs new carpet, paint) it clearly says continental bkfst INCLUDED for every guest. HMM? I called and was told I was on the wrong promotion and when I questioned if that is an ONLINE issue (?) immediatley […] I was told the maids forgot to remove the statement out of the guest book....odd job for a maid. I got home and found they charged me again for the pre paid hotels.com. Apology...yet another mistake.....then they dinged the card for parking.....after I paid cash for parking. If you choose this noisy, tired hotel because the location is great....be careful of their inept front desk peeps...you may be overcharged or double charged...and don't even think you'll get the breakfast they advertise....you're booking online!!! 더 보기
