I visit Houston monthly for business, so I've had a chance to stay at many of the Galleria area hotels including J.W. Marriot, Intercontinental, Westin, Hotel Derek, Sheraton Suites and Four Seasons. I must say that the Omni has put an end to my "hotel hopping". I've not had a better experience. From the courteous staff, to the convenient garage parking, […] to the absolute stylishness of the room, to its tucked away location, the Omni has thoroughly please me. If I could make one change, I'd make the rooms colder for bed time. I don't consider this a big deal because, despite the fact that the room doesn't get really cold, it still gets colder than some of the others. I won't stay at another hotel in Houston if I can help it :) 더 보기

Room was updated but mirror and bathroom and front door looked 50 years old.

We had a misunderstanding on policies and with the night manager on duty it was taken completely out of control. Will never stay here again

Once you can find it - signage is poor, even the staff said the directed way is not the best way to go, what sense that makes is beyoind me - the Hotel itself is gorgeous. Beautiful lobby and rooms, great pool, and the gym over looks it all from a raised position.

Close to everything in the loop and a beautiful settting in an urban area...gotta love the black swans! I highly recommend this hotel. In today's business environment, i would like to see complimentary wi-fi for guests to be able to roam the grounds and conduct business, but this was not available. The hotel room was nice. The location is nit tge eadiest to find because it is tucked in a corner. I did not like that there was no microwave in the room; but room service offered to warm my food for me. Overall I would return.

Only issue was parking. I felt like I had to park in a back 40 and enter through to back of the hotel. The price of valet parking too much. To self park, had to park and put on hiking boots. Beautiful hotel!! Will definitely come back.

Nice room.

The hotel is remodeled, but someone forgot to remodel the bathrooms and the AC. The Hotel itself was nice, but very crowded at all times and the crowds and lack of close parking plus difficulty getting into the builing with your own belongings gives you no choice but to use valet and a bellhop. The bedding was good, and the bathroom spacious, but you […] have to lean OVER a bidet to get to the bath faucet, gross! The room AC did not work, even on 62 at night. Also, I did have a little trouble finding the entranc, it is a little hidden even though it's signed well. For the price and all the 'extras' it's not worth the money. 더 보기

Had to make an emergency visit to Houston to take our very ill family canine companion to the Gulf Coast Animal Hospital. It was three very long days, but our stay at the Omni made it as relaxing as it possibly could be with a super comfortable room (very dog friendly). Not to mention a great staff! this hotel is unbelievable in the service it provides. the only areas that we found in need of attention is the bar, where service is either not provided or sporadic. two nights out of three, we had to find the bartender, go to the bar to order and pick up our drinks and then go to the bar to pay our bill. for this hotel, that is not acceptable. also […] charging $ 24 for valet parking is not reasonable. but the bellman, concierge, front counter, and restaurant staff were all excellent. honorary mentions to hector and the concierge (jose or juan), can't remeber the exact name. the car service they provide is such a great idea. we used it to go to dinner and it made life so easy. it is not a cheap hotel, but it was worth every penny. 더 보기

The hotel was very nice and offered all the amenities! Just make sure you want to pay $26 for valet parking. They offer free parking in a parking garage away from the hotel. Also the wifi is not free unless you sign up with their club. Overall I would recommend the hotel if you are not on a budget!

I booked a hotel for one night after a grueling week. I knew I needed a buffer between hell week and getting back to my family, so I wouldn't be a stressed-out zombie for Christmas. I spent a confused hour online, headache and so tired I couldn't think straight, and almost randomly chose the Omni, just to have a destination. Tension fell away as I walked […] in to the beautiful lobby, after handing my responsibilities over to valet and bellman. Check-in was a breeze, and I headed right over to the whirlpool/sauna area. I was late, so the spa was closed, but I decided to call in the morning, as it looked lovely too. Whirlpool is small but relaxing, and I was alone, so it was perfect. Sauna was already hot and beautiful. Towels were provided in the changing room, and they were so lovely that I almost asked where I could get some to bring back to Canada. Back in my gorgeous, boutique style room (overlooking the lovely pools) I ordered a light, late room service meal (tortilla soup and gorgeous salad), watched a bit of flat screen tv and sank into their very cozy bed for a great night's recovery sleep. The next morning I did get to the spa and had a massage with Annie, who gave me on e of the best massages I've ever had, and I've had a lot. I never understood why you'd want hot stones on your back, but now I get it. I headed upstairs to pack, and with my generous (and free) late check out, my timing was perfect to get to the airport for a 2:30 flight. I would plan my next trip to Houston around this hotel's availability at hotels.com's price, that's how much I loved my stay. I'm hesitant to post this review; I'm afraid if people realize how wonderful this hotel is, it won't show up on the site anymore because it will be fully booked...;-) 더 보기

The Omni Riverway is always my hotel of choice for a Houston stay. The surroundings are a welcome and serene surprise nestled in the hustle and bustle of Houston. If you were not aware of the busy area surrounding the property, well... you just would not know. The property is very peaceful! The Omni staff is always courteous and friendly. I love to self-indulge and come for a weekend stay and simply lavish in massages, facials, etc. The food in the on-site restaurants is fabulous. Let me begin by saying the hotel concierge set the tone for what proved to be the best hotel stay I've ever had from beginning to end! A gentlemen known only to me by the name of Victor ensured that I was very well taken care of upon my check out. I only stayed for a night as it was just in celebration for a party weekend, however, the staff was still […] very attentive to my needs as if I were a highly valued guest. There were seven events going on the night of my stay and I didn't feel over looked one bit nor did I get any feeling of the hotel being chaotic. The walk from the parking garage would have been a hassle had I not read previous reviews and known to check my bags and check in before heading to free parking. However I was prepared, and to top off the accomodations, weekend parking was free so my guest were also able to park with no additional fee. My accomodations were met in that I requested a high floor room, and the room itself was clean, with warm decor. It was a hassle accessing the plug behind the television, but I was strong enough to move the dresser and use the outlet. The view was awesome, the swan lake was serene, and though I didn't use my room for much more than a place to change clothes, it felt wonderful to be there. The room service breakfast was nice as well, though I doubt I'd ever pay that much for an omlet again. I want to stay at the other Omni location in Houston but I assured the staff I'd be back at Omni Houston Hotel very soon and I intend to keep my word. 더 보기

Huge need for remodel! Staff and location are fantastic!!!

The person at the checkout counter seemed to be in a bad mood during my check-in and therefore somewhat unfriendly. There was damage to some of the bathroom fixtures and they charge extra for everything (parking, wifi access, etc). There are much nicer hotels in the are for the same price and there are much less expensive (but still fairly nice) hotels […] in the area as well. I was dissatisfied to the point that I decided not to stay a second night, and ended up in a different hotel that was 40% less, had nicer interior decoration, and had complimentary wifi. 더 보기

The hotel staff were all professional and friendly. The rates were reasonable, but the parking fees - even for "self parking" - were out of line for this area. Worse, we did not know of these fees until we had already checked in. Full disclosure would have been nice.

Beautiful hotel, great location, great food....however...the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel...and I stay in a lot of hotels. Hard and springy like. It looked as though you went big on the budget everywhere else and purchased the beds with the leftovers.

Great hotel, wonderful location, nice facilities, I loved it. Close to the Galleria, the main shopping center in Houston, the hotel offers pick up services to / from the Galleria. This is an awesome place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfy, the staff was very pleasant and most helpful. The courtesy car was on time and the drive knew where he was going. Yes, I would stay there again in a heart beat.

I greatly enjoyed my stay there. The hotel was beautiful and the service was amazing. It was very easy to book the room, easy to check in and out. I will definitely go go back and recommend it to my friends and family!!

Nothing is close in Houston, but the hotel is near the Galleria neighborhood and a short drive to downtown (where we had to go to dinner). Service was friendly and prompt.

The Omni is a really nice hotel, the staff are lovely, and the hotel facilities are good. The official hotel parking is $16 per night but there is another car park around the back that is free and sometimes you're not informed about it. The service in this hotel is superior. Although you can still tell that there are outdated elements here and there they are hidden by the excellent service by the entire staff - especially housekeepping!

Great getaway. Unfortunately definitely not worth the price we paid. To have a full hotel and only have one jacuzzi that seats two is unheard of. The bathroom in their supposed premier suite, I could have paid half the price got the same view, their bathrooms are low grade and need updating. If your going to have penury suites why not offer jetted tubs […] and if your going to have only one jacuzzi then offer whirpool tubs in the individual suites. Parking sucks, you pay all this money and still have to pay to park. 더 보기
