The room needed a complete refurbishment. For example the sink had large chunks of marble broken out. They nickel and dime you to death. Local calls $1.50 other calls more. The hotel was nice although we were told a mini refrig. Would be brought to our room to keep left overs. The refrig. Never materialized. They also should give you more than two servings of coffee, cream, and sugar for the morning. Disappointed.

This was the BEST workout facility I've ever seen in a hotel. The pool was minimalist, but swimmable (18 meters, only 3 ft deep but better than no water). The workout equipment was closer to a workout facility than a hotel gym - free weights, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, weight machines, sauna, steam room. Although, to me, nothing is better than a REAL cup of complementary coffee in the morning from the lobby - THAT was missing...only small coffee maker in the room and $2 cups of coffee next door. Fantastic hotel, right in the heart of downtown. Close to many of the sights, including PNC Park, which is amazing. Short 10-15 minute walk to the ballpark, a little further to Heinz Field. We had a room with no functioning toilet or heating system. Gave the front desk 5 hours to fix and when we returned to the room nothing had been fixed and the room was not made up. Took them 20 minutes to switch us to another room. Very unhappy with the service for a Westin. Will never stay there again. Many other choices in Pittsburgh.

Our stay at the Westin was an outstanding experience. The staff at the registration desk were friendly and had us in our room in no time. Our room was spacious and the bed was extra comfortable. it was fine except for the lack of hot water. my husband took a shower in the evening & I took one in the morning, and we both had literally less than 2 minutes of hot water. For that reason alone we will not be staying there again.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very nice and clean. We especially enjoyed the available workout facility. My only complaint was that our pillows were too soft (for my liking). We would definitely stay here again.

We were treated very well by every staff member we encountered. What happened t the dual-head showers?!? I was disappointed by their "Amazon Rain Forest" showerhead. They're not enjoyable at all. Thought it was excellent. Close to all the places we wanted to go or just a short cab ride. We went to North Shore to McFadden's, Rivers, Primannti Bros @ 4AM, then got a late checkout for 1PM. Great time, great staff!!

We had a wonderful experience at the westin in Pittsburgh. The front desk was extremely helpful and fruendly. The room was a very nice size and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was kept cleaned. We were there over New Year's Eve so they were quite busy but I didn't feel at all lost in the shuffle. This was a great location for the First Night celebration in Pittsburgh.If they had a buffet breakfast it would be perfect ! We wish we knew our dog could have been there too.

Nice lobby, clean and comfortable room and bed, but upon walking into my room for the first time I could smell lingering cigarrette smoke in a non-smoking room. Whatever they did to mask it did not work very well. Once the A/C was cranked up the smell became less noticeable.

Excellent experience! I asked for a high floor with a good view and we got a room on the top floor (26) with a panoramic view of downtown Pittsburgh. Very friendly staff. When I told them the bathroom light switch didn't work, someone immediately came to replace it while we were out for dinner.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was the incredibly slow service provided in the Penn City Grille. This was particularly frustrating as we have young children.

Location was ideal for the purpose of our visit since it was adjacent to the convention center. Bed was heavenly. Had by far the finest fitness facilities and pool area. The major drawback was that we had no hot water when we wanted to shower at night. When calling to the front desk we were told just to let it run for 5 minutes. We ran it for 20 minutes […] yet still not hot. Called back to front desk and was told it would be a while longer before it would be fixed. No offer to compensate for the inconvenience. That was disappointing. Otherwise, I may consider staying at the same location in the future, but lack of concern over no hot water was a drawback. 더 보기
