Great staff & Beautifull Room Bakersfield location

The overall grounds of the hotel was nice. It's a pet friendly hotel. Saw a couple of cute dogs. The desk clerk was nice when we checked-in. She was there when we checked-out but not as pleasant. (I have been to other 4-star hotels and the clerks are very happy to see you.) Maybe because she trying to get other desk work done and wasn't too in tune […] with the customer. The room was nice but problems with the A/C. I was thinking it would get cooler during the night as time goings on but it didn't. I did mention this to the desk clerk which she told me they have 24 hrs maintenance. I know this next time. The rooms are large. I love having the two sinks. One in the shower/toliet area and one before entering two the bathroom. No luggage rack to put luggage on. Have a hair dryer, ironing board and iron. Nice good size flat screen TV. Looks like all rooms had a balcony. Location is great! Off the 99 freeeway. Costco, Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza place (buffet style with arcade) Steak restaurant across the street. There is also other hotels in the same area. Some maintenance needs to be done in public view, eg replacing warp maintences doors. I would stay again. They have great cookies! 더 보기

Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Loved the cafe and warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival. We were in town to visit family for a few days. Did not spend a lot of time on the property but the short time we were there we were very satisfied. Would stay here again and would recommend.

We felt we got a good deal from Hotels.com but the hotel is right next to the freeway so it's too noisy to open the slider for fresh air. Even more disturbing was the the noise from people in the hallways. The room was fine, the bed was comfortable and the food was fair.

We found dirty socks, a dirty paper plate, and a water bottle that did not belong to us under our beds. That made us wonder, "How really clean is our room?"

We like staying at this hotel when we are in Bakersfield. Even the standard rooms are larger than normal, more than enough room for us to avoid tripping over our girls' toys. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant is very good and has a variety of food options. My girls look forward to the warm cookies the front desk provides. My only complaint about […] this particular stay was that they would not let us check in 20 minutes early. We had and appointment to keep and still had to get ready. I politely asked if there was any way we could go ahead and check in at 2:40pm. I was told that they had not cleaned the rooms yet. The girl told me to check back in 30-40 minutes. She did call to put a rush on our particular room as I was walking out the door. REALLY??!?!? They didn't have our room clean 20 minutes before we were supposed to check in?? AND she said to come back AFTER check in and our room might be done? It occurred to me a few minutes later that I should have asked her to call housekeeping and check on our particular room. Needless to say, we were late to our appointment. It was just frustrating because we could have really used that extra 20 minutes. Be sure you call ahead if you want to check in early. Not sure that will help, but I'm wishing that we would have tried. Also, the next morning, they were out of warm cookies. Truly a sad day. 더 보기

I have traveled alot and stayed in more hotels then I care to remember. The Doubletree was outstanding!!!!! The front desk, the kitchen staff were the one of the best I have encountered.

Beautiful lobby. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable! I will definitely stay here again.

Excellent front desk personnel at 8p.m. when I finally arrived. Pleasant and professional. Lobby great. Lounge staff awesome especially bartender who turned the TV to American Idol when it was just her and I there! Room was standard for all Doubletrees that I've been to. Comfortable and I felt safe.

The staff was great. I was recovering from out patient surgery and they were very helpful. They gave me a ground floor room and plastic bags for ice packs. I would definitely stay here again.

For the price, I can't complain. The hotel is in need of a remodel. Carpet was very stained in the room. didn't get the feeling the room was dirty, just stained carpet.

We liked the room very much, and the cookies at check-in was a bounus, everything was awesome.

Everything was just fine, and you get a warm cookie (best cookie ever) when you check in!

Hotel was easy to find, Cafe food very good, Room was adequate although the carpet needed cleaning. Bed very comfortable. Only real downside was night desk staff when questioned about bill became quite hostile

Over all the Hotel is nice. However the carpet in the room had stains in the doorway and the bathroom needs maintenance.

The Hotel was very nice. This was a convenient stop for a family gathering and it was great! I ate at the restaurants and went to the lounge later in the evening. great service and very clean and attentive staff. Great job Hilton employees!!

The room was very big.. a nice change to many hotel rooms (even those that cost a fortune). We had to call down to have some light bulbs replaced- and remind them to deliver our paper each morning (.. with apologies each time, but still no paper the next day).. but- overall we would absolutely stay there again. We almost always stay at doubletree whether it's local or out of town! The service, cleanliness and most of all comfort is the best!!

Despite being located next to the CA-99 highway, the room was quiet and it was nice to have a balcony. The rate was very good and we'd stay there again.

We thought Bakersfield was fulll of farmers and so far from the freeway, we would have a nice room. But we didn't expect it to be as nice as it was! It was beautiful, clean fresh and felt new. We were on the way to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl game, we were wearing jeans and t-shirts. We felt a little underdressed.

We stayed at the Hilton en route Grand Canyon. The rooms were large and well maintained. The hotel gave us free WIFI which was a pleasant surprise. Good restaurants within 2 miles. We stayed twice, and would again.

The linens were clean, room neat. Bad stain on carpet at front of door. Black mold spot in tub. desk chair badly scarred. nite stand tables stained. Just average for a 3 star hotel.

A very good hotel and very good location!

clean and nice. We were on the way to death valley for a family vacation. In and out stayed at Bakersfield for two nights, one in this, another one at the nearby hilton garden inn. the only downside of this is that it does not provide in-room wireless.

We were visiting relatives in Bakersfield for the Thanksgiving holiday so only stayed for one night but the Doubletree made every effort to accommodate our request to have the closest room to the lobby as I am handicapped and cannot walk very far. We arrived early in the day and altho it was too early for check-in, they promised to hold the closest […] room for our much later check in time (and they did). This used to be a favorite stop of ours. Friendly staff, and we love the cookies.... but now they only have their fabulous Sunday brunch once a month. Our room had heating/cooling problems. Lots of banging during the night. The pool wasn't heated, so no swimming. Little things... I know it's a bad economy, but it was just not the special place it used […] to be. 더 보기

This was a nice place. The room was comfortable and clean. Beds were great! Our check-in process was smooth and quick. We have pets and we appreciate a good hotel that accepts them. Our room had a sliding glass door for easy access to outside. Overall it was a great experience.

Not even close to a 3.5 star hotel. The first time the ratings have led me astray. Mold in the bathroom body hair (?) on the bathroom floor. Cig burn in the duvet cover, etc. etc.

The hotel is very nice ~ room was clean, nice and spacious with comfortable beds and the towels were exceptionally thick. The WiFi was "free" if you signed up for their program; otherwise it was around $12/day. I opted not to sign up (just more junk email) and used my cell phone as a hot spot for the limited time I needed internet. The room temperature […] was fine but the hallways were freezing. The outside temperature was cool and I don't think they heated the hallways at all. We ate in the restaurant off the lobby and was very disappointed in the quality of food. My husband had a Reuben sandwich and the meat was so full of gristle he finally gave up. My chicken fettuccine was okay but nothing to write home about.
