체크인 할 때 찬 데킬라 한잔을 무료로 제공한다는 것은 사실입니다! 데스크 직원은 매우 친절했고 체크인도 매우 순조로웠습니다. 객실은 도시에서라면 흔히 예상하는 대로 작았어요. 두 사람에게는 퀸 룸이 적당합니다. 평면 벽걸이 TV 가 멋져요. 욕실은 좋으나 수압이 매우 낮습니다. 저예산을 가지고 있다면 확실히 이곳에 다시 올 겁니다!

체크인을 할 때 차가운 데킬라 한잔을 데스크에서 줍니다. 할렐루야!!! 그러고 나서 5시에 중이층에서 무료 와인과 치즈를, 호텔 레스토랑에서는 아주 맛있는 아침 식사도 무료입니다. 발레 파킹은 도시 안의 어떤 곳보다도 20달러나 더 쌉니다. 정말 좋았어요!!! 직원들은 정중했고, 멋진 히피 분위기가 나는 뛰어난 예술작품이 있어요. 엄청나고 극 현대적인 베이지색의 힐튼 같은 건물을 좋아하는 사람들에게 맞는 곳은 아닙니다. 유니온 스퀘어 지역에 위치하고 있어요. 로이드와 사무엘, 감사해요. 가격 역시 적당합니다.

우선 아셔야 할 것이 매우 퀴퀴하고 오래된 냄새가 나는 호텔이라는 점입니다. 직원들은 "100년이 넘는 역사를 가진 호텔입니다."라고 말할 뿐이에요. 객실은 붙박이장 갔았습니다. 테이블도 없었고, 의자도 하나 뿐이었으며, 오래된 타월도 상태가 안좋았어요. 아침식사 부페는 훌륭했습니다. 저희 관광과 버스 서비스를 셋팅해 준 컨시어지 서비스는 최고였습니다. 관광지 중심에 위치하고 있었고, TV 채널 선택권은 매우 제한적이었으며 침대는 편안했지만 중심으로 갈 수록 매트리스가 푹 꺼져 있었어요. 무엇보다도 이 지역의 다른 최신 호텔들과 비교해서 가격이 싸지도 않기 때문에 저는 이 호텔을 다시 이용하지 않을 겁니다.

Union Square 근처에 있는 위치 조건이 마음에 들었습니다. 훌륭한 쇼핑 지역과 레스토랑까지 쉽게 걸어갈 수 있어요. 객실도 멋졌습니다. 매우 훌륭한 아침식사도 제공되었구요. 옛 시절의 샌프란시스코를 온 듯한 느낌이 들었습니다. 정말 좋은 시간을 보냈어요.

Tim at front desk was wonderful. Lacks major ammenities like gym and business center, but very accomodating front-desk and hotel services. Very ecclectic place. I would stay again.

Enjoyed wine and cheese everyday between 5 and 6:30, relative proximity to Union Square at a competitive price , and complimentary continental breakfast. Missed having a mini refrigerator.

The hotel is ok, but for the price, the rooms are extremely small. Also the walls are paper thin. There was a restaurant outside my room and even though I was on the 3rd floor, I could here conversations word for word. I was kept awake unitl 1-2am by how loud it was outside. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful city of San Francisco! The staff was friendly, helpful, and fun. Breakfast and the afternoon wine and cheese was very nice and appreciated. Overall, The California Hotel was a lovely place to stay!

We loved the fact that this is an old hotel. That is to say, it was charming and cozy. The staff were fantastic...always ready to help, offer a tip, store our bags after we checked out (we had a red-eye flight out), We also loved the central location. We walked everywhere!! The included breakfast was extraordinary. It had fresh-made waffles, eggs, ham, […] all kinds of cereal and breads, yogurt, just to name some of the items! The room was very bright and the bed was very comfortable. The only down side was that the room was a little on the cool side. We were there in early January and the in-room heater worked, but just didn't seem able to put out quite enough heat. Then again, San Francisco was under an unusual cold spell while we were there. The Hotel has its charme for sure. Very antique and oldfashioned. Room was very small and smelled like used socks when you enter it. Bed was not so comfortable because of soft matress. We liked our room, it was cute, clean and had a lot of character. The wooden floors were quite special, along with the huge windows. The staff were very helpful and nice. The only downside was that the king bed had a pretty big dip in the middle. Otherwise I would rate this 5.

I visited the Best Western Hotel California for 6 days to attend a conference at the nearby Moscone Conference Center. I wanted to stay closer to the Center, but the hotels were booked up. The walk was not bad though, about 20 minutes, and you get to pass by Union Square and see some of SF's famous trolleys go by. Our family of 5 stayed here in August and we had a wonderful experience. Had the 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect. The central location was great, the breakfast every morning was delicious. The only minor flaw was the very slow elevator but that was no big deal.

Overall good. Matteresses need to be changed out for new. Bath towels too small. Staff helpful. Dont go for the next door cheaper parking; they are a bunch of money grabbing thugs.

This hotel is located in a very old building, and it shows. The room we stayed in was closet-sized with only one electrical outlet and no air conditioning, but I'm sure that is standard for many establishments in San Francisco. It did have an old overhead fan, but it listed from side to side and seemed very close to falling down. Cosmetic issues aside, the water temperature oscillated between burning hot and freezing cold, so I opted to go without a shower.
