bed was not comfortable, thin walls and floors. Room was hot took a long time to cool. Quality consistent with chains with lower prices, will not use again.

The hotel was good. It was just a one night stopover whilst we were travelling. Breakfast was included which was great. No restaurants close by, so you would have to drive, but there was a convenience store and a takeaway pizza place which suited us fine. Our room was clean, a bit strange though because the spa was in the room, not in the bathroom. […] This made the room smell a bit like chlorine, but nothing to complain about. We enjoyed our one night stay here and would return again, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast is better then most "free" breakfasts we've had at other hotels.

Probably the most run down Holiday Inn Express I've seen. Needs a major facelift.

wifi is super slow, it was showing as 56k (dial up speed) so i had to find somewhere else to get work done. Other then that this is a good hotel, clean and quiet, except for the police sirens... Staff were great. I'd book this hotel again.

convenience and comfortable

Had a very helpful front desk staff that made good restaurant recommendations and even provided a cork screw for me.

Hot breakfast, room has refrigerator and microwave. No restaurants close. A little off the beaten path.

our 2 night stay there was just fine, only problem was we had family members also there we were in 304,302&303, we did find ear wigs, BUGS in two rooms!! thanks

We were extremely satisfied with our stay. We liked this Holiday Inn Express better than the one in Las Vegas.We travel with a gymnastics team and like to stay in your Hotels. They are clean, friendly and everywhere. When we consider staying elsewhernolle Our kids insist on the HEX. Thank you for the memories.

Since we've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past, we knew what to expect of the nice rooms and atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating during our one night stay. The wireless internet code in our room wasn't working, and the staff was very quick to get it worked out. Our only complaint was that the room was hot and took a long time to cool off. The beds took even longer to cool off than the air, of course. I guess it was hot because the room was west-facing and had a long time to heat up during the day before we arrived after sunset. The AC was a good unit but it had a lot of work to do by the time we turned it […] on. So, we were uncomfortable the first couple of hours when we wanted to sleep. Staff aloof

you front desk clerk i forget her name the oreintal lady that works graveyards was very rood i mean very rude if it wouldnt of been 1 am i would have ttaken my buisness elsewhere she needs an attitude adjustment

We stayed here for a night on the way to Las Vegas. Nice hotel. Comfortable, big rooms. Good free breakfast. Nice pool, spa, putting green. Not too far from freeway

I have stayed here several times. There are train tracks are near by. Ask for the room on the otherside. The late night front desk needs to find a job that is better suiter for her. Very rude and cold when having issues with my internet. The rest of the staff is very pleasant. The breakfast bar is stocked and food is hot.

Needed a place to stop over on a late trip from San Jose to L.A., so I chose this one from a handful of other dismal choices...and I'm glad I did. Desk help was very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was better than the typical cheap hotel "continental breakfasts", and the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable (NICE towels!). Downsides: […] Old and somewhat noisy air conditioner, very clunky ice machine (better one on the 3rd floor), and the location was a couple of miles from the freeway. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean and had a nice feel to it. I had arrived early in the morning on my check in day and the front desk staff was able to get me a nicely freshly cleaned room in 30 minutes, even though I had checked in way before 2pm......highly recommended!!!!!!

Good hotel, nice room, good breakfast, nice location. I could not access the sd card in the hotel computer apart from that, I would stay again at this hotel.

We stay here every time we are going through Bakersfield. (at least 3 times per year) The service is good, the room is comfortable and adequately maintained. Breakfast is excellent.

Our Girl Scout Troop of 6 stayed this past weekend (4/2/11-4/3/11) at this Holiday Inn Express in Bakersfield (Hughes & White Ln). When we checked in at 4pm only one of our two rooms were ready. It took almost an hour for the second room to be ready. The rooms were okay if not a little dingy. The AC in room 1 did not work very well and was blowing […] cool but not cold air and the vent did not adjust so the curtains were the only really cool thing in the room. Room 2 had AC that worked fine. The tub was chipped and badly repaired but was fairly clean and the water pressure was strong and the water hot. My main complaint was the size of the dining area (and the breakfast) for such a mid-sized hotel. It was pretty tiny with only 8/9 tables! We arrived downstairs for breakfast at 8:20am and the breakfast area was pretty barren and the kitchen attendant told us they weren't replacing anything, it was take what is here and that's it! We were pretty shocked! Just in case you look forward to your waffle iron at H.I.E... This one doesn't have one! It has a pancake maker that was empty of batter and wasn't being replaced. The breakfast is upsetting to me as normally we stay at H.I.E for the breakfast that is included. I think next time we will save the $ by staying at Motel 6 and buying breakfast the next morning! 더 보기

The hotel employees were very helpful. They two guys on shift the evening we arrived helped us find a nice restaurant for dinner.

Breakfast was sparce but ok. Will most likely stay again but not for more than 1 night. Adjoining room had people so loud the TV didn't drown them out. Will request a room without an adjoining door for next visit.

A little pricier than the other 1 or 2 stars, but for the comfort level I'd say it's well worth it. Free internet, while some other hotel/motels might charge you $5/day or per stay. A great breakfast, compared to most other continental breakfast. No waffle iron, but there's always warm cinnamon roll, scramble eggs, and bacon. Safe you a trip to the […] fast food joint for breakfast, and another $5. As for the cleanliness and comfort of the room itself, I'd probably put another $10 worth. Sometimes, I worried about quality of comfort and cleanliness of a room when I read mixed reviews. As for this one, rest assured, it's above the expectation. Of course it's unfair to compare it to a 4star or 5 star facilities. If you are considering this hotel with another one that has 2 stars or less, and the price difference is less than $20, I would say it's worth the money. Or else, I leave that to your discretion. We enjoyed our stay. It was only 1 night but was very satisfactory. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There were many restaurants close by and easy access to get back on the freeway in the morning. We'd stay there again.

Bakersfied (on Hughes Lane) was HOT but the hotel and the room was cool! It was very comfortable.

Very good breakfats

Hotel is located near the interstate but not that easy to get too. Our room faced the traffic and was very noisy. Temperature control hard to adjust, and bathroom floor needed more cleaning. We probably won't stay here again.

Clean and comfortable. Exactly what I have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. Not in an elegant part of town, but not the worst either. Convenient freeway access.

I arrived late after traveling all day. My room was clean and comfortable, the internet worked great, the bed was fine, the shower was hot.

The beds are comfortable. The hotel does not have a gym. You can hear the train at night. Fortunately it is infrequent.

Excelent Hotel.
