Too expensive

Hotel was in a GREAT location and was very modern. All ocean front rooms with balconies. Pool and hot tub were great. Will definitely stay there again.

The beds were super comfortable and the view from the balcony was breath taking. The room had everything we needed right down to mouth wash. I picked the hotel because it had an indoor pool for the kids and free breakfast for my group. The pool was in the lobby and to get to the pool you have to walk through the Bar/ restaurant. The pool was cold and […] the hot tub water level was really low and both pool and hot tub was full of sand. The breakfast was free but the eggs were fake. We ended up eating waffles,very delicious. the hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful to my visiting grandchildren and sons. They truly made our Christmas stay great. Love the hotel and amenities. Breakfast was awesome. Will stay here again.

I love this hotel. It is convenient to everything the oceanfront has to offer, and it is very close to all the military bases in the area. This is the only hotel I stay at on the oceanfront.

The hotel was clean and nice. The biggest thing to me is that a hotel is clean and this place was just that. I would recommend this as a place to stay for vacation.

Everyone should stay at this hotel! The staff are very friendly, they have the best bartender. The pool was very clean and open 24 Hours! Room was also very clean as well as the bathroom. Huge breakfast for free! What more could you ask for? My next stay in VA beach is going to be at the the Hampton Inn North(:

Great weekend stay! I was in town for a day of business, so the wife and I decided to spend the weekend. The hotel is located on the beach right near the Neptune statue (a notable landmark for the beach) and within walking distance of the local theatre, which we visited twice. The room was newly renovated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We requested […] a 3rd or 4th floor balcony for the view of the ocean. And even though it was winter with a bit of wind one day, we were able to sit on the balcony and read for a while. We also enjoyed watching the dolphins slowly working their way down the shoreline. The free buffet style breakfast was actually quite robust, well tended too by the friendly hotel staff, and set in a reasonably good sized restaurant. Nice selection of breakfast food. The Hampton Inn - Oceanfront is a beautiful hotel with a great staff and amazing spacious rooms. The view from the room of the board walk lit up at the night for the holidays was a great addition and the sight of the ocean was majestic during the day. The hotel staff was polite and on top of things. The only low was the hotel restaurant “the kitchen from hell” (not the serving staff). The kitchen staffs are a joke at best… The kitchen does not know the deference between med and well done stake, and the breakfast eggs are like chewing on a bubble gum. I liked the hotel--all rooms are overlooking beach--it has a small but nice swimming pool that is open 24 hours. It also has a hot tub, but the water was too hot there. My only complaint is that when we went to the hotel (mid Dec, not a good time to go to virginia beach--but being pregnant we didn't want to go for a vacation far away), the hotel was […] almost empty, yet they gave us two double beds and when we requested if they can give us an upgrade to king bed room--they reluctantly say no--somehow I didn't like the attitude. 더 보기

The bathroom floor was gross and the bathtub had stains. There were balls of hair in dust in the corners of the bathroom as well. A few days after we checked out, the hotel charged us for food we NEVER ordered. When we called to dispute, they gave us a hard time about refunding the money because they said we couldn't "prove" we didn't order the food. […] Apparently, all someone would need in order to make charges to your room is the last name of the reservation and room number. Outside grounds and inside lobby area clean and attractive. Room was very nice, exceptionally clean and comfortable. I'm a fan of Hampton Inn!

Fabelous hotel and service excellent

At our Hotel, that was nice, we kept having backaches from the mattress. We asked for a differnt room, and was told noone had ever complained before. Later house keeping came in and flipped the mattress. Happy they did that and it did helped. Just didn't liked the rudeness from our request. Management should've offered a new room. We couldn't wait to get here! After a 10 hour drive we walked into our room to find crumbs on the floor & the bathroom floor was filthy - why would you spend the money on a beautiful marble counter top in the bathrrom but leave the shower with mold & a flithy, filthy bathtub. We had ro cover the bathroom tub & floor with towels before using them!!! […] When we told the front desk the next morning ( we were too tired to deal with it the night we arrived all we wantted to do was eat dinner go to sleep) they were quite rude but said it would be taken care of. We were out the entire day the next day & when we got back nothing had changed. We used to love Hampton Inn, and usually stay at them when travelling but will this hotel has ruined that for us! Nice hotel, great location and service. The indoor pool was cold until they turned on the heat, as requested. The hot tub on the other hand was little too warm. Other than that everything else was fine.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn-Oceanfront North. The room was well laid-out and had a perfect view overlooking the boardwalk directly onto the oceanfront. The sunrises were spectacular. The breakfast was fantastic -- omelets, bacon, potatoes, cereal, pastries, but the standout every morning were the belgian waffles. The mix used was the best […] we've ever had! They were the best we've had. The only downside was that our room was not vacuumed daily nor was the bathroom floor cleaned. Linens were changed, clean towels supplied but, for some reason, the floor was not vacuumed. When we left a note to vacuum, it was but that was the only time. Not a big deal but we were still surprised as the hotel was outstanding in every other aspect and we will definitely go back again. 더 보기

My boyfriend and I just wanted to get away for a couple of days and Virginia Beach seemed like an ideal place. This hotel was at a descent price and a great location. When we arrived the customer service that we recieved was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel staff were great! Great continental breakfast.. Was close to everything. Had a problem with our TV, called the front desk and there was a maintenance man up to our room to fix it in less than 5 min. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights and it was a very good stay. The room was clean and the location was great, just a couple hundred feet from the Neptune Statue.

We arrived early and hoped to check-in early but were only allowed to check-in exactly on-time to the minute, fair enough. While we waited unfortunately, the hotel bar was not even open on a Sunday afternoon. The room was large and had a nice balcony right on the beach, shower was a bit dirty but room was good otherwise. The maid assigned to our room needed to be spoken to. We found long black hairs in bathroom upon checkin, poor vacuum job in room (crumbs) and greasy toddler handprints on sliding window.... Spoke to management, they took care of situation. We accidentally booked this hotel, thinking we were booking at the other Hampton Inn along the oceanfront. This hotel was further north than we wanted as we were specifically in town for the Rock & Roll Half Marathon and the associated festivities located further south along the oceanfront so we ended up walking ALOT. We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Virginia Beach for 2 nights during a tour of the east coast of the USA. The hotel was perfectly positioned and we had a fantastic oceanview room. The rooms were large, well appointed and very clean with a fantastic view from the balcony. Hotel staff couldn't do enough to help and the free breakfast that was provided was […] excellent and included hot food, cereals and waffles. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient oceanfront hotel - we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back. 더 보기

The hotel was in the right place and had just the right amount of everything for us. We enjoyed waking up to the wonderful view and all the early morning activities. The dolphins, the soldiers, and the volleyball teams practicing and playing on the beach. Being able to read my bible on the balcony and enjoy listening to the laughter of the children […] and adults in the water and in the sand was refreshing. The restaurant had amazing food and it was certainly worth the money. The indoor swimming pool wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be, but there were lots of children and families using it so sand was expected. The clerks and workers at the hotel were very respectful and nice to talk too, even early in the morning or late at night. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to go again sometime soon. Oh yeah, the price was just right for someone on a moderate budget like me. Thanks for the opportunity. I'm not sure I would have been able to stay going directly through the hotel. My son & I had a wonderful five day stay. Typically I don't spend this much on a hotel, but this stay was well worth it. Breakfast was fantastic-something different each day, with a huge choice and very satisfying. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
