very nice

The bathroom was in need of some major undating and the shower was like being hit with a fire hose. I would stay there again if the fix the shower.

We were there for one night and it was very reasonably priced and close to everything. The people were very friendly and the hotel was very clean.

Staff wanting to make your stay fabulous... Staff offered room change when their new WiFi was intermittent in the assigned room. Free parking is a plus in Boise downtown area and ability to walk to attractions,shops, and dining from the hotel is very nice.

Perfect location--so close to all of downtown, and hyde park. we were able to walk around our whole trip. the staff was very friendly and the rooms were very cozy. no fridges or microwaves, so make sure if you have your cooler packed with ice!

We had a really great stay, the bed was hands down the best I've ever slept on! The building is a little older (as evidenced by the somewhat run-down bathtub), but still looks great and the location is unbeatable. All in all, it was a fantastic stay!

I stayed there for 8 days and really enjoyed the stay. The hotel has lots good places to eat around it including an Indian restaurant called "Bombay Grill" and a great Italian restaurant called "Asiago". The hotel bar is well stocked. The room is kept clean and the towels are changed everyday. Overall, a great service.

Check in went ok, then downhill from there: - Room was just ok, small small bath, older furnishings! -Fabric on chair not exactly very clean -Matress pad "lumpy" & sheets didn't fit well fitted bottom sheet kept coming off 1st night. Soundproofing not very good - Sounded like a "Herd of Elephants" staying in room above us! Wife could hear snoring from […] other rooms during the night! - No maps or directions posted in lobby or available in rooms showing locations of amenities (restaurant, overflow parking, exercise room etc.) - Returned frrom visiting friends and due to a function in hotel, there was NO parking in "Guest" parking lot! Had to park on street a block away. Complained at desk and was advised there was an "overflow" lot, unattended, a block away in the other direction. This lot was not shown on any of the hotel guest information! Definately will not stay here again! Extremely overpriced for value received! Will return to another hotel we have stayed at before with better service and more comfortable room for less money the next time we are in Boise! 더 보기

My main complaint is that the room was freezing and took about an hour to warm up. The houskeeping staff should have turned on the heat in time to warm up the room. In addition, when we turned on the faucet the water was rusty and took a few seconds to clear up. there are more expensive rooms in the hotel that were way better.

Bathrooms were extremely small, not much room. Did not know hotel required a large security deposit, which put a damper on my weekend activities. Probably will not stay there again.

For the price the hotel was good enough. Still, the room, and really the hotel in general, was very dated in terms of decor. The biggest problem, though, was the weak wifi strength. Loved the beds. Best night's sleep I've had for a while!

This looks like it was once a nice hotel. However. the mattress was worn out and sheets did not stay on. It had no refrigrator and the televison set was from the 80s the picture was so dark we could hardly see it. Excellent location! Staff is wonderfully helpful and nice. Our room was beautiful. And comfortable. My only complaint would be no fan in the bathroom which makes it get steamy and muggy. We had a delightful stay

Nice cleaning staff.

It was great to stay in downtown, walking distance to restaurants and bars! The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had a room with the view of main st. Which was nice. The only thing is the bathroom was outdated but it did not bother me at all considering the age of the hotel. Everything else was remodeled. I will stay again

This hotel is just really old it could use some bathroom remodeling but overall it was a good location and the room was clean.

The location is fantastic, walking distance to downtown bars and restaurants. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was a nice size, with a coffee pot. The bathroom is TINY!

Great views, comfort and service

The staff was great - actually everyone we met in Boise was very friendly and helpful. No different at the Owyhee - the service was excellent. The hotel is older, but has been upgraded and is quite acceptable. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the water was hot. My only disappointments were that the wifi was week and so I couldn't really use the internet a lot of the time. And the floor in the room above us was quite creaky, so we could hear the person above us walking around. Although this is an older hotel, it is well-maintained, in a great downtown location with easy access off the connector to downtown. This hotel was recommend by friends who live in Boise. Easy walk to cute coffee and other shops and restaurants downtown. There was ample parking and I could see my rental car from my room window. My favorite part of the hotel is the little bar inside. It is quiet and quaint. The location is also ideal as your close to all the great downtown restaurants and bars.

I've driven by the Owyhee hotel all my life here in Boise and always thought it looked fantastic, but in reality it is sorely out of date, and not in a good way. I took my fiance there on a surprise in town getaway, and was I was embarrassed that I had chosen this over any other hotel. Examples, the sliding doors in the main lobby wouldn't open all […] the way. The wood lamination throughout the building is worn through the halls are narrow and lined with 70 style mirrors. The room was clean and well maintained but the colors were awful tan, brown, burgundy, and purple. Others may find this hotel more to there liking but a for me it was not worth my money. 더 보기

The picture displayed on this site is not what we received at the hotel. The room was run down. The mattress pad only covered 3/4 fourths of the bed, you could tell because the sheets were very thin. The sheets were not made to fit a king size bed and kept coming off. The furniture was from the 70s and beat up pretty bad. I could hear snoring, hacking, […] from all the rooms surrounding us. The hotel is nice and in a great location. I was put on a floor where a party was. As the night continued, the party got louder and louder and ended up in the hallway outside my room. Fights started and several complaints were called in to the front desk. Due to the size of the party, the hotel staff was not able to keep all the party goers quiet.....At […] 2am, my wife and I checked out of the room because we could not sleep. Overall the hotel was very nice. The only problems we had were that there were three conventions taking place at the hotel during the first two days that we were staying there that we were not aware of and they were very LOUD!!! Also, we were quite surprised that the rooms did not have mini-fridges in them for the price that we were paying. Even your […] lower end hotels have a mini-fridg. We ate out for lunch and dinner all four days of our stay and had left overs at each meal that ended up going to waste. That would have to be my only negative comments. The rooms were very plush and comfortable and I was very happy to have a joining room with my father who is in a wheel chair. It made it very convenient to be able to check in on him regularly. 더 보기

My husband and I love staying at the Owyhee Hotel because of location location location. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping, art galleries, everything you could possibly want to do while in Boise. A short taxi ride away is the Boise State College, or you could walk about 20 minutes to get to the stadium. Rooms are clean […] and large. Hotel met all expectations. Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff.

I HAD COLLECTED MONEY FROM COWORKERS TO PAY FOR A COWORKERS HONEYMOON NIGHT ON AUG13 and booked through hotels.com so it was a PREPAID room on my personal creditcard with the room booked in the grooms name. On fri Aug 12, I figured that they probably needed a credit card authorization on file so I called the Owyhee Plaza and talked with 2 people about […] having everything ready for them. My daughter even called back twice to see if they got the faxed authorization form. On the fax, I specifically asked them to please make their honeymoon night check in smooth...but oh no! they lost the fax and would not let them check into a PREPAID ROOM! THEY LOST THE CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM, WERE VERY RUDE TO ME 1 HR LATER AFTER MY COWORKER KEPT TRYING TO CALL ME (9 PM) FOR A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZ. THEY DO NOT OWN CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. FINALLY, THEY GOT AHOLD OF YET ANOTHER FRIEND WHO GAVE THEM A CC # FOR A PREPAID ROOM!~ I AM TERRIBLEY EMBARRASED AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF MAKING THEIR HONEYMOON NIGHT A PROBLEM, FOR LOSING MY CREDIT cARD NUMBER AND FOR BEING SO RUDE TO ME WHEN THEY LOST IT. I HAVE BOOKED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WITH THEM IN THE PAST WHEN FRIENDS COME IN FROM OUT OF TOWN BUT NEVER AGAIN. I was very happy with the hotel and the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did upgrade our room to the remodeled suit. (which by reading some reviews, I think was a good move). The bed was comfortable and clean. We also had breakfast in the morning at the hotel restaurant and found it to be very affordable and tasty. Don't go to this […] hotel in hopes of something fancy. We paid for a newly remodeled room but discovered that the only thing that had been updated was the bed and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was so small and smelled like mold and was gross. We would not stay there again, for the price we paid we could of stay at a really nice hotel a block away.

Not a very good hotel. Walls are thin, and lots of noisy neighbors. I could hear every conversation, and both televisions on each side. Overall condition of room is getting a bit frayed.

The walls in the room are very thin. We heard another couple's performance if you know what i mean. This was our anniversary celebration did not want tat experience to be in our memories :(
