Being new in the area, it would have been very helpful for the room to have a notebook of amenities, churches, &c. to make getting around easier than looking through the phonebook and trying to surf information off my phone. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

The hotel was very nice, the room was clean and the shower facilities were very nice. I asked for a king size bed room but the bed in my room went beyond king sized...it was big enough for 4 people and extremely comfortable! We arrived at 8PM and the guy running the front desk was not overly friendly or nice but he was able and got us checked in which […] is all I cared about after driving from Mass! It is right across from a Walmart and next to a Subway and some other fast food type places, it is also right off of Route 95 with stunning views of the 95 corridor (though not much else). 더 보기

The staff was rather unhelpful on a couple of occasions - even for a mid-range hotel like this. Other than that, it was about what we expected for the price: decent bed, clean room, not a great location (we came here because every hotel in New Haven was sold out), and a very close, audible relationship with the guests in the room next door.

Stayed in this hotel to save a 2 hour trip in the morning. Requested a wake up call in the morning and they called 2 hours earlier than I requested due to their wake up call system being confused by the time change during Fall back. So much for trying to get a good night sleep. The hot breakfast was tasteless and bland. We stayed here when we lost power in Sherman for 2 days. The room was very nice for the price...clean and comfortable. It was a little close to the highway, but not too bad. The staff was pretty okay, except when I tried to cancel my reservation since I got power back on. They wouldn't let me...but. Oh well.

Book ahead of time. Walk-ins cost extra and they'll tell you it's their best rate. Cheapest hotel in the area. Good access to I-95. The towels are like sandpaper The pool closes at 10pm, and its only 25 ft long and 20 ft wide. Gym also closes at 10pm so forget about getting in a late workout if you arrive late. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Yale Bowl and New Haven water front. The price and accomodations were reasonable. Our grandaughter also enjoyed the Texas Road House restaurant next door.

The staff at the front desk were excellent; especially Frank who recommended a wonderful seafood restaurant aproximately 10 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel itself was adequate for an overnight visit or maybe 2. My room was very clean as well as the hallway, and did not smell of any unsavory aromas. Nice large rooms, the staff was accomodating in giving us permission to check in early due to a wedding we were attending. Very comfortable, there's a lot of space. For us it was perfect location to get to Union Station and to jump on the highway 95 or to take surface roads to stay out of the highway 95 traffic. I was traveling on business. The room is adequate and probably about par for the price. My big problem with this hotel is that neither myself or my traveling companion in another room got our requested wake up calls. Sheets were ripped, too few towels for number of guests, coffee but no tea bags and the shower had very little pressure.

I was very disappointed by this hotel. It was right next to a major freeway and the noise was so loud I felt as though I was standing under a freeway overpass. If you are a light sleeper it would likely be problematic. And the rooms were oddly shaped in a way that felt cramped. I don't usually expect anything extravagant from a continental breakfast […] but theirs left something to be desired- it was essentially cereal and toast. There is a strong smell in the entire hotel (and I am used to staying in mid range hotel). The first room we were given stunk smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. We were given another room which was a little better, but still smelled really bad -- the shower curtain smelt mold and urine. Not nice for morning shower. The hotel room was quite tidy, location was good and convenient.(15 mins from train station) Close to Walmart and some other on the go restaurants. However the breakfast needs more variety and front desk clerks need to be more informed about public transport and site seeing. Not every one has their own transport or can afford to rent a vehicle to go […] to distant locations. I would recommend this hotel for people who have transport but if you don't it would not be wise to stay there. 더 보기

I liked this place - I read negative reviews from several people on Hotels.com written on 2007 about it - but I didn't see what they were talking about - It's a very nice, clean, "fancy" hotel with all the amenities. 2 or 3 people said the blankets were cheap and "pilly" ??? I personally don't blame hotels for not putting expensive towels and blankets […] in rooms - because people steal them. The only thing that I actually encountered was a slight smoke smell in the hallway. 더 보기
