The Hotel and Staff were just wonderful.

We booked this hotel based on the "great" reviews we found on Hotels.com . At the time, most rated this hotel 4 stars. The location is not bad if you want to stay away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful landscape and location. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and pretty on the inside. However, the room was not anything […] spectacular or any nicer than a Courtyard Marriott room. Customer service was great. Sheets were dirty and mattress was disgusting. In fact, the sheets on one bed still had "crumbs" in them from what appeared to be a cookie/cracker. Shower was warm and had very little water pressure. But for the price, it was a good value. But I certainly would not give it 4 stars. Maybe 3.5 for the value. But overall---a solid 3 stars. 더 보기

Very impressive and well maintained. Not close to familiar restaurants or stores, but the food in the bar was very good. Refrigerators in room would be welcomed and appreciated.

This is an very nice Marriott Property. If you are going there for a conference you will find the accomodations very nice. If you want to enjoy the surrounding area or enjoy DC you are out of luck. There is no neighborhood to speak of and it is a 30 minute drive to DC. 15 minutes to even a decent town center which may have a little nightlife. The place was absolutely grand. Beautiful marble entrance, very attentive staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, this is an old hotel and they need to update their flatware and cookingware it was a bit antique for me to feel comfortable eating there as well as the in-house pub. As we drove through the beautiful grounds approaching the hotel, we realized that we were in for a treat. We were not disappointed from the moment we entered the lobby until we left on Sunday, the staff, restaurants, gift shop, and all involved in the daily running of the hotel were professional and charming. Stayed on July 4th weekend. There was a convention at the hotel with many younger people from other countries. The noise, drinking and destruction of the hotel and grounds were plentiful. We complained to management about our lack of sleep and excessive noise: they could not have been more apologetic. They also returned all room charges and fees, provided […] free dinner at the upscale hotel restaurant a total value of over $300. I stayed at this hotel with my sister, and a friend for a girlfriends weekend away. The hotel is super clean, and has a wonderful, peaceful resort feel. The only two things I would recommend before booking is to first, make sure the restaurants will be open and are not booked for a wedding, and second,if there is a demonstration on a Saturday evening, […] (as we encountered) that you will be allowed to at least drive up to the front entrance and drop off the majority of guest in your car. We had just returned from getting relaxing massages, and were directed to park in a parking lot that was far from the entrance of the hotel. There was no shuttle, and my sister is handicapped and walks with a cane. No one offered to drive her to the entrance and as a result, she ended up with blisters and was exhausted. When I complained to the front desk, they gave us complimentary valet parking, which was useless because the car was so far away it would be hard to get. The next morning when I asked the bell captain to go and retrieve the car, he offerred to get it, but was so busy it took a long time and I ended up walking and getting lost trying to find it, but eventually did. It was very frustrating. That evening after recovering by the pool and the hot tub, we decided to get dressed and go to dinner in the main restaurant, only to be told it was closed for a private party. We ended up in the bar. There were pool tables and there was music, but it was not the atmosphere we were looking forward to. We couldn't go out, because the car was parked too far away to retrieve in the dark. The pub food was fine, but not what we wanted. All in all, this hotel was very nice and we all agreed that we would stay there again. 더 보기

We generally dont write reviews or are that big on complaining but felt the need to do so with our last stay here. We had no issue with the hotel itself. It is in a nice location, clean and overall pleasant. The issue we had is with the lack of accomodation and what appeared to be dismissive attitude towards our input on a rather uncomfortable stay. […] As soon as we checked in to the room we called the front desk and mentioned we had reserved a King bed not two Full's. They said they were all taken and couldnt accomodate us then the lady basically hung up on me while I was still on the line. We were rather surprised at this. The beds were "INCREDIBLY" uncomfortable and both my wife and I had very bad back and neck pains from our stay there. Neither of us is very large and we are in our late 30's so its not as if we ourselves contributed to this issue. The mattresses may be overly worn down because there was not one single position you could lie which was comfortable. When checking out we politely pointed this out that their mattresses might need replacement and mentioned how uncomfortable our stay was and the response was just a slight smile and an almost dismissive we're sorry with the follow up question being would we like a print out of our bill!!! What the heck?? No true remorse or some minor gesture to assure us it wont happen again...nothing! Basically, the message we got was: "Quit complaining and just sign your bill. Dont let the door hit you on the way out!" Well they just lost a customer and we're going to tell all our friends not to go there anymore! The hotel, although a large conference center, is in a beautiful tree-filled setting. The staff is friendly, the rooms large and clean, and the hotel is well presented. the only drawback we could find is that because it is so large, the walk to our room was quite long. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

No room service?,that is rediculos,I have to go down to pick the food.but the really bat thing is that the TV controls are very confused and they charge $50,00 for mouvies that did not see,and this is amazing $17,99 just to listenig music,my friens say will never go to your hotel

This is a conference center and would be great for a wedding or other formal event - there were several while we were there but they did not interfere with our quiet couple's getaway.

The room was ok but a lot of noise from the hallway. Room to room there was good sound insulation but the windows and doors need much better soundproofing. I was awakened at least 3 times per night just from hallway noise. It was ridiculous - did not get decent sleep for 2 nights.

Unlike other area hotels, the Westfields Marriott is in the middle of nowhere...but absolutely beautiful for it. Driving up to it, there's no mistaking that you're in Virginia. Absolutely gorgeous for weddings, conferences, etc. Which brings me to my real review: It's obvious that this hotel's focus is on large events rather than the overnight guest. […] I knew it was a conference center, but still thought I'd get more in-room bang for my buck. Instead I was surprised to see so many basic ammenities come at an additonal charge, especially considering the amount I already paid to stay overnight. I feel I would have been better off at other nearby, less expensive hotels, that offer more "free" ammentities and are more convenient to dining, shops, etc. If you're looking for a place to hold an event, look no further. If you're looking for a comfortable place to get some work done and hang your hat...consider someplace else. 더 보기

This is a nice Marriott... good condition, very clean, great staff... We stayed there for one night before a flight out of Dulles... We saw two guests the entire time. Apparently the hotel was full because when I asked for a king bed on check in they said they were out and our room was quite a hike to get to on the property..giving the impression they […] were very full. But we literally saw two guests. We check in at dinner time and checked out at lunch... They have a nice indoor pool with a lifeguard.. unusual. They also have a HUGE restaurant. We had breakfast there and there was one other table in a restaurant that probably seated 200 people. Weird. Service was very friendly. They had a ton of staff. We left feeling a little like we had visited the twilight zone. :) 더 보기

This place was pretty amazing! It was beautiful inside and out. There bar was great and Javier made THE BEST margarita's ever! Breakfast buffet was a little pricey but if you are super hungry - it was well worth it. They have a crazy Brunch on Sundays that costs over $50 per person but I'm sure if you have the money to splurge and have the day to enjoy […] - it looked worth it. My husband and I found this hotel very nice for the rate we paid. Grounds were beautiful, room service was quick and delicious. My only complaint was although the bed was super comfortable and the room was clean, the pillows were awful! Bad pillows = no sleep. But overall, we'd stay there again (and bring our own pillows) and would have no problem recommending […] it to friends. 더 보기
