알바 팰리스 호텔 (Alba Palace Hotel) - 플로렌스

처음엔 호텔이 골목안 에 있어 찾기 힘들었지만 그 위치가 산타마리아노벨라역에서 그리고 관광거리가 있는 구 도심에서 가장 가까운 거리였다. 화장실 깨끗하고 직원도 친절. 아침식사가 입에 맞음. 과일도 있음 오전 10시 반에 도착했는데도 방을 내 주어 고마웠다.

location is okay, staffs in hotel are great and our room was suite for 3 persons and it was large and comfortable and even had a nice view. it was quite satisfactory decision of this hotel and i recommend this hotel without hesitation. Especially the hotel is super near SITA bus station and it is very easy to go Siena and the mall from firenze.

This was our second stay at the Alba. As before the rooms were clean and well provided. Breakfasts were a bit basic and of the Continental style but we found this little disadvantage as within short distances there are many places for more substantial lunchtime meals. The best thing of this hotel is location. The worst thing of this hotel is its breakfast. For the rest of this hotel is in average.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during our holidays in December. The hotel is very close to the main train station Santa Maria Novella (around 5 minutes walk) and all main attractions are in within walking distance (around 15 minute walk). The room and the attached toilet were clean and moderate in size. The room had a LCD TV but we hardly found […] any English channel to watch, except BBC World News and Fashion TV, they don’t have any music (MTV) or Movie channels. The breakfast place is well decorated but the breakfast itself was very poor with limited quantity and verities, most of the time they do not re-fill the finished items. The staff were not very helpful, seems like they don’t have sufficient knowledge about the local attractions. Overall this is an average hotel to stay but if you do not fancy about the breakfast and TV channels, will recommend this hotel. 더 보기

We stayed in three hotels in our trip to Italy. The Alba was the best if you consider overall satisfaction versus price. The personnel was excellent and very friendly (for Italian standards). Breakfast was excellent. The only negatives are that the pillows were a little hard and the bathroom was really small. 200m from Santa Maria Novella train station Front desk staff helpful, English speaking. Noon check -in was convenient. Courtyard -facing room 001: spacious , comfy, great bathroom, 2 levels , upper had own courtyard/table/chairs. Never heard other guests or street noise. The Alba Palace is one of innumerable hotels in the vicinity of the Santa Maria Train Station in Florence. Based on multiple reviews, we picked it because we thought we might be arriving by train, and it would be a short walk. The street, Via della Scala, is relatively narrow and non-descript, with nothing "scenic" about it -- one hotel after another, […] with various shops, bars, etc. at street level. As it happened, we drove to the city and the hotel. The hotel has a valet parking arrangement with a local garage, which is both convenient and necessary. The hotel is within the restricted zone of Florence where driving is illegal, and there is essentially no alternative to a garage. The daily charge for the garage is high, but Florence is a destination city, and everything in Florence is expensive. That said, the car was taken away and returned within minutes, so the service is excellent. The hotel is well-run; the staff is friendly and helpful. We needed reservations to the Bargello for the day we arrived and couldn't get the museum web site to work. The hotel quickly filled our request for them to make the reservation before we arrived. Our room fronted the street, but the windows are double-glazed, and there was NO noise from outside. The room had a king-size bed and enough space around it to avoid feeling cramped. Good lighting and furnishings. Small bathroom with a stall shower, new fixtures. Our only problem with it was a shower head that didn't fit the wall bracket and kept falling out. Excellent air conditioning! Housekeeping also excellent; room was very clean. Breakfast is a generous buffet in an atrium with a large skylight. Usual juices, breads, rolls sweet and crusty, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, jams, etc. Location is central enough to make all of historic Florence an easy walk. For what it was, this place is too expensive. Yes, the location is good - close to the train stations, and it serves decent breakfast. But the room and bed are old, with a tiny shower booth, the wifi is slow and it's average in all account. I'd stay here again when it's cheaper, but not at this price again.

I loved staying at this hotel. Location was so convenient to everything; walking distance to sights plus nearby trains, buses, restaurants, and of course the shopping was fantastic. Staff were pleasant and helpful; room very clean; loved the decor of hotel; would definitely stay here again.

Alba Palace is a very good hotel in a great location for exploring Florence. Very close to the train station if you're arriving by train. If you're coming by car, they have a car service that comes and picks up your car so you don't have to worry about finding parking. The room was tiny but expected with European hotels. The bathroom could have been […] a little bigger but they managed to fit everything you'd need in a very small space. The front desk was more than helpful to recommend eating options, make reservations and offer directions. The only complaint we have is they need another person to help with breakfast. When we were there, they only had one woman working. We had to wait for her to clear a table so that we could sit down. Also, because she was busy clearing tables for people wanting to eat, she wasn't able to replenish the food on the buffet. This hotel is literally a few minutes walk from the central station. The street is a bit shabby, but the hotel is fine . Our bedroom was on the small side but nicely decorated, comfortable (except for very firm pillows) and clean. It had excellent air conditioning and was very quiet as it faced the inner courtyard. We stayed in June 2011 for three nights and found all aspects of the hotel a pleasure. The bed was very comfortable and although the room overlooked the street,there was no outside noise as the windows were well sealed. I stayed here 25 years ago. Hotel was upgraded, but area around the hotel was noisier, more bars so loud at night, and more graffiti. Good location to the Duomo and train station.

The Alba Palace Hotel is an oasis amid the hustle and bustle. Close to the rail station and the main attractions it is a wonderful place to retreat to. Excellent breakfast included.

This is a very nice hotel extremely convenient to the train station and most of what Florence has to offer. The room was nice, and even though we were on the street side, it was quiet (impressive windows). I note the prior comments about the beds being hard. We stayed at four different places in Italy, and all of the beds were firmer than ours at home. […] My wife loved it. My mom, aunt, two kids and self stayed here during our trip to Florence. Very easy walk to train staion which was important as we made side trips to other parts of Tuscany. Breakfast simple but very good. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

Better than advertised. friendly, English spoken, flexible with breakfast hours, hearty breakfast (especially by European standards, 3 minute walk to the train station, 10 minutes to all the ceter city attractions, a great little trattoria almost next door. The beds and pillows were a little firmer than we prefer. For the price, a very good deal.

We must've lucked out and got one of the triple rooms but the hotel itself is located very centrally and is also near the train station (which was good for us). Staff was very nice and loved the room. No musty smell, the bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi. Not the normal European hotel room. I would definitely go back.

enjoyed our stay immensely. Were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room with a mezzanine level with two single beds and a queen size bed on the lower level. The unexpected bonus of having a separate spa only added to our overall enjoyment. The only slight complaint we three ladies had was that the beds were on the hard side but other than that […] the staff were very accommodating when we needed help with maps and restaurant recommendations . The staff was very friendly and spoke English very well. The room was clean and nice. Location was within walking distance of everything. Morning breakfast included cereals, yogurt, meats and cheeses, fruit. Close enough to walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station.

The hotel had a good location in a decent area, but the rooms were old and small. The lobby was nice and there was hotel garage parking, which is hard to find in the cities. Good, budget conscious hotel for a stay in Firenze. Near the train station and can walk anywhere. Room was clean and adequate. Good breakfast - especially liked the fresh yogurt. My parents reccomended the hotel to me and I'd reccomend to others.

Its basic and convenient location to the train and bus station (5 mins walk). Nothing to fault it at the price we paid for. Rooms are decent sized and the bathroom clean with reliable hot water.

Good location to train station and to walk to sights. Piazza nearby where locals gathered, which was a cheery site. OK variety on the breakfast, nothing spectacular. Free internet service was a bonus. Close by restaurants were very good and accessible.

The hotel was wonderful. I stayed there for 3 days early in July of this year. The rooms were spacious with a flat screen HDTV. The hotel staff was also very helpful and friendly. The only thing that I did not like was the bathroom. Although nicely renovated, it was VERY small with a small standup shower. I'm 5'9 and I it was definitely a "stretch" […] over the 3 days. Ok, so Via Della Scala isn't the most quaint stretch of road in Florence - think typical streets surrounding train stations throughout Europe. However, everything about the hotel - once you step inside - make the slight seediness of the street it's on a minor blemish. The staff couldn't be more friendly, breakfast buffet was quite nice, free wi-fi access, […] and the rooms are amazing! My family of four (wife plus kids ages 10 and 7) stayed in room #1, which had a spiral staircase leading to the 2nd floor loft with beds for the kids. It was wonderful, and I believe it may be the only room with a large patio/balcony - which was great for 'happy hour' card games with the kids before heading to dinner. And Via Della Scala isn't so concerning that we ever felt unsafe - I mention it just to balance the review as you could certainly find more charming streets to stay on. Hotel location is perfect for train travelers, though, and not far from city center (Duomo). Also, I must recommend eating at IL Latini (about 5 blocks from the hotel) as it was the most amazing meal we had during our eight nights across Italy. They serve you in the traditional Italian style - no menus - with course after course coming until you shout enough! You must make reservation as there were 30 to 40 people lined up at the door for them to open. I've never seen anything like that. 더 보기

The Alba Hotel is a convenient 5 minute walk from the train station. But like most European cities, the train station area isn't the greatest. Still there were always plenty of people around so my wife and I felt safe except for the time we went the wrong way back from dinner. The hotel staff was not overly friendly or helpful. Luckily, Florence is […] a small city and everything is pretty easy to find on your own. The hotel is quite charming. It looks like it's been recently renovated--free internet access too. This hotel is situated very conveniently in terms of the railway and the SITA bus stations and most of the major attractions are within easy walking distance. Our room was comfortable, but faced a busy street (vehicles and pedestrians) and I only managed to get some sleep by using earplugs at night. Laundry prices were very affordable. This is a very nice hotel for the money and in a good enough location for those who do not wish to pay lots more. It is very near the train station, but on a street away which keeps it from being in a busy area that is not the nicest in Florence. A very good breakfast and a very wiling and helpful staff who spoke english well. Very clean as well. Staying at the Alba Palace was a wonderful experience in every way. The service was exceptional and the room and breakfast were very nice. We will go back there again on our next trip to Florence.

This was perfect for our one night layover. The hotel is decorated beautifully, very clean, and the staff were very helpful and extremely nice. The room was small and the bathroom was very small, but for our short stay it was fine. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.
