Shabby, shabby, shabby are three words to describe it. The bed was terrible; the headboard squeeked; the sheets were old and worn and the door did not lock all the way. The worst was the standing lamp could not be turned on and the light above the be kept shorting! This so called hotel advertised breakfast and the only thing available were stale muffins […] and bagels and a coffee maker. Do not stay here!!!!! 더 보기

This one needs to be renovated. old and not fixed up forget about breakfast- macdonalds down the street is much better

my hotel stay was lovely comfortable relaxen and clean and very friendly and they were very respectful and they was very clean.

I booked this hotel for the price and location, and was pleasantly surprised! The photo showed that the rooms were interior access, however, when I arrived I noticed that there were exterior accessible. But when I checked in, I was given an interior access on the upper floor in the corner. It was extremely spacious and clean. Painting on the wall was ripped. Only 1 lamp worked. Outlet cover missing. Garbage behind the night stand. Mattresses old and lumpy. Not a terrific one night stay.

I was looking for a cost efficient stay at a location near Yale so that I could stay the night after a concert at Toad's Place. This hotel did just what it advertized. You get what you pay for. That is all. =]

I knew better. I knew better than to go by the posted pictures. I knew better than to go by the "Hey, it's only for one night" mentality. I knew better than to say "C'mon...is it THAT bad?" when I read the reviews. Econo Lodge Conference Center is one of the examples as to why this hotel chain isn't doing great. From the moment I pulled into the parking […] lot, I realized I had made a huge mistake in giving this place my business. Let me start from the beginning, and I'm going to be as descriptive as I possibly can... First of all, the neighborhood the hotel is located in is unsavory, to say the least. There were some pretty shady characters walking around there, and I was driving a pretty nice car. Believe me when I tell you...I took as much of my belongings as I could before locking up. When I walked into the main lobby, which, by the way, is situated separate building across the parking lot from the shantytown of seedy hotel rooms that the Hotel.com posting failed to mention, I was hit in the nose with a smell that gave me the impression that there was a serious septic tank problem going on. I was tempted to leave right then and there and eat the cost. When talking to the guy at the desk, he was a condescending and rude jerk of a guy who pretty much insulted my intelligence when I asked for clarification of where my room was located. The stench of the lobby was enough-- I didn't need that guy's attitude on top of it. I walked around a bit, and just out of curiosity, I decided to look at the indoor pool area. Yeah...not impressed. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't just in that green pool water if my torso was on fire. The ice machine was in the same building in an adjacent room...a dark, ominous, poorly lit room that smelled like mildew. The room itself is very minimalistic, but enough for one night. No refrigerator, no coffee maker...none of those luxuries, but I was already so turned off by the place, nothing about it made me happy. I was literally itching for 더 보기

Hotel is not up to Econ Lodge chain standards. Hotel rooms are old and not maintained. My room didn't have a smoke detector. Smelled like disinfectant. Chair was ripped and dirty. A/C was a window deal with plywood around it. Door didn't lock all the way unless you slammed it. Bathroom counter was slanted forward and sink faucet was not stable. The […] floor was damp. The health club is non-existant, just an ice machine with a damp carpet in a room that smelled like 20 year old cigarettes. I was disgusted at the thought of using the pool. Front desk area fine, outside flowers etc. well taken care of, pool area-musty smell- not appealing. Room was extremely run down, lock to adjoining room would not work -had to put chair against it. Did book the next day also, because it was July 4th, but came back to a completely broken -in -to room, lock/holding plate falling out of room door. The photos posted in Hotels.com are not real, the swimming pool area stink, overall the facilities are in bad condition...

What a dump! You should not be renting rooms in this place. I don't think it is even legal for them to be renting rooms. There wasn't a smoke detector in our room, just the mounting bracket???????????????????

Very scary section of town.The hotel was extrememly HARD to find.Breakfast was a laugh.They had only 2 spoons to eat cereal and no milk.Filthy dirt conditions and the pool was filthy and very small.James ,at the front desk was the only bright spot.Very nice man .But overall,save your Money and run somewhere else.It was the scariest night of my life […] . 더 보기

nice gentleman at the desk. but there was a light bulb exposed in the shower. the "air/fan" did not work at all. quiet location, but difficult to find from I95. windows were "duck taped" and loose fitting. wire ran in front of closet door and unable to close the door. rooms very dark, even with all lights on. sad conditions.

Although the box spring on one of the beds was sliced opened (had 2 beds) and the toilet paper holder was broken, the staff was worth the stay. I had a very quiet and private corner room. When I needed an iron, front desk clerk hunted throughout hotel to find one. My dog was also welcomed. Cleaninf staff, toiletries were available.

I've redone old homes and the best way to cover up ceiling flaws is to use a dropped ceiling. Ceiling tiles don't cost that much. There was a nasty moldy one in my bathroom. We weren't there long enough to be grossed out

There was a party next door, and for over 5 hours, the entire room was vibrating and the noise was incredibly deafening. I called the front desk after an hour of this lunacy, and was told the recreational room was next door to mine room. The main reason why I stayed at the hotel was to be close to where I was taking a professional examination. That […] defected the whole purpose of renting a hotel room in the first place. I'm NOT LIKE IT A ALL hall ways, stairs and parking lot DIRTY.

I stay in hotels all over the Unites States and not always great places. That being said I can usually take a hotel of less than stellar accommidations and not complain too much. In this case I can not and will not leave this hotel unreview. Let me start off by say that I wished I had slept in my Car instead of staying here. The place was pig stye everything […] dirty. The heater had two temperatures. ON, sweat yourself silly and OFF freeze to death. No phone in the room so I could not call to complain about the people banging around upstairs, or the people having sex on the other side of the wall from me. In order to complain I would have had to get dressed and go over to the building that the office was in. The shower had a hole in the wall, the toilet ran all the time. The furniture was broken. Check in took longer than it should. A lightbulb was out. Paint chipping off the walls. Dirty floors. Pillows were sliced up chunks of foam stuffed into cases. Shower never got hot. friendly staff, room was clean & quiet, I was working on a movie and we just wanted a room that was close to set and not too expensive. this place was perfect

This hotel is no good and the worst I've ever stepped into. I checked into my room, walked in with my bags, and turned around and walked out. I didn't even take the key cards back. I didn't even want a refund, I just wanted to leave.

Our stay was good, we were just hoping for a little more...but the price was good so we can't complain too much. The room had an A/C unit in the window, which made it interesting to try to get the curtains closed, had to do some finagling. Continental breakfast was good. The hotel looks like it had not had any upgrades in quite some time. The nearest ice machine was over two buildings away in the pool room which was very dirty and unkept. The room had a small air conditioner which did not cool off the room for 8 hours.

The bathroom only contained two bath towels, no hand towels and no wash cloths. When you ran the shower, the tub filled up, even though there was no stopper in the tub. The toilet didn't flush well, either. Older hotel that seemed to have as many rooms as possible squished right next to each other. I enjoy staying at the econo lodge the staff was wonderful to me, i picked up my key the gentlemen was awesome he on time with me the 2 housekeepers were awesome to the clean my room quick and smells great. thank you i will stay the econo lodge again real soon.

The hotel staff was very nice which made up for the quality of the hotel. It was not dirty and I did not see any rodents. The price of the room was good being that Connecticut hotel rooms are expensive.

Everything about the room was perfect, until we noticed the COCKROACHES and little tiny gnat-like flies in the room. Didn't even use the shower since I don't care to bathe with cockroaches. On the other hand, the staff were all very friendly...If they get rid of the infestations it would be a nice place to stay.

I paid very little for this room, and even then it was not worth the money. It was dirty and it looked like there was crack houses next door. It said to have a fitness area, but they did not mention that it had been ripped out. The pool was green. And the entire premises smelled of a dirty diaper.

Not up to expectations. Shows age.

si tienes una conferencia en yale y no quieres gastar mucho dinero en hotel , este lugar es recomendable. No esperes lujos, es solo para descansar en privacidad. el personal es muy amigable, sobre todo el que no se bien si es hindu o turco, fue muy cordial
