This hotel has the potential to be nice but needs a lot of work. It is large enough that they could repair half of the rooms and still stay open. Many stranges odors in the rooms and hallways.

The pool and sauna are the best part, besides that it's fine, but I stay on the road a lot and I find 40$ per night rooms that are larger. Over priced is the main thing, or have a better room availible that's larger, and no refrigerator or microwave!!?? This place needs some help

If you like taking trips back in time, then stay here. I've stayed at Ramadas in the past but this was the first one that seems so run down and old. My room smelled really old. The switches seem to be from some other era. The place needs a remodel. My last night there was the best night as far as I'm concerned.

This is an older hotel, but a warm, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable surroundings made our stay very enjoyable. The Navy Families' Gathering sponsored by the hotel on the night before graduation was very nice and open to families staying @ other hotels. This hotel looks rough from the outside. In need of a renovation.

Waukegan Ramada Inn is a very well-kept hotel complete with a wide variety of services. The rooms are very clean and the facility is extremely quiet. The hotel is conveniently located near several restaurants and department stores. Waukegan Ramada Inn is "THE" choice for family and friends of U.S. Navy Recruit graduates.

The room was described as two queen beds. They were doubles. The room had a musty smell to it. The shower/bathroom was fine.

Would not stay again. Very dirty rooms, staff is rude. They had no extra blankets or towels & pool was not clean. The hotel smells no matter where you are at. We showed up to check in at 2:50pm, the front desk said there were no clean rooms-We would have to wait until 3:00pm...it's 10 mintues-really?

I had a family member graduating from the Naval Recruit Training Command (Great Lakes) and this hotel was soooooo convenient to that location. However, due to the people who were hanging around at the hotel bar and just generally milling around the hotel and the hallways, I will never stay here again, and I will recommend others to stay away!! This […] location has a very small bar and there were 3 security guards with bullet-proof vests on!!! High gang presence!! The staff was very friendly when my son wanted a steak for lunch they pulled out the dinner menu so he could order one. The meet and greet was very nice. The Hotel was very close to the graduation site. The only thing wrong the commode handle was messed up so you had to pull it up after you flushed I reported it when I left. I'd rather be in prison than stay at this place. No fridge, no microwave, not what we were sold. Lousy area, arguments outside the window at night, beer bottles in parking lot in the morning. Felt like a war zone. Smelled bad. If people are going to this area for Navy graduation, they should go a few miles north for a better hotel and a normal neighborhood. […] Try Gurney. We stayed here to attend Navy Graduation at Great Lakes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access and dirctions to the base. Resturant and bar on site. Free cont. breakfast in the morning. I recommend this property especially for Navy Grad. There were many families staying there for that reason. The only down side to this hotel. No elevators, […] only two floors. The hotel was clean and nice. The pool area wasn't monitored very well because children were in the jacuzzi which is against the rules. Not a big selection of restaurants in the area.

When I got there the Valet parking was full so I had to find a parking spot on my own. If you can find a parking spot or have the valet do it for you it is definately worth it. I tried the Square Whale also and the food was really good but kind of expensive. Overall it was a good experience.

Nice pool and continental breakfast, comfortable beds.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel was close to our destination (Six Flags Great America). I would reccomend to others.

We stayed here to be close to Six Flags and Gurnee Mills Mall. The location was ok. The back parking lot had a fence to seperate from apartment buildings. We did not feel comfortable leaving our vehicle back there. Thankfully, we could park in front. Otherwise, they had a good breakfast and the hotel was clean.

We were there for 2 nights in the 3 queen room. When we got to the hotel, the pictures online made it look more modern, it is not. We got to our room and it smelled funky, to the point that we had to put our car air freshener on the AC. That worked until our AC went out Tues night until 11:30. We were not told, and assumed it broke. The front desk told […] us it was a power outage. I suggested that we get some kind of comp for the inconvenience since we traveled over 5 hours to get there. The said there was nothing they could do. Now to the pool, the pool was dirty, for an indoor pool, and not kept up well. The floor of the pool has chunks out of it, and was not kept up. We were to scared to use the jacuzzi, because it was horrible, and we are anything but germaphobes. I highly recommend a better place to stay if you plan to go to Six Flags, there are cheaper, nicer hotels around Waukeegan, and Gurnee for the same price, or cheaper. 더 보기

Based on the reviews I read on this site as well as trip adviser I expected a much nicer hotel. The first room we were given smelled horrible, I am not sure if it was from way too much cleaning solution or what but we had to switch rooms. I will say they were great about giving us a new room and it was much better. I am not sure if there are older and […] newer sections of this hotel or what but it seemed that way. Overall it was fine and served its purpose but honestly I would not stay there again, just not what I expected. Staff very nice though. 더 보기

Decent accommodations. All you need: safe, clean, and a friendly staff.

Our room was clean and every thing worked. The breakfast was adequate (free) but the bed was a little soft for my taste. Overall it was a nice stay and I would recommend it.

Went to see son graduate naval boot-camp. This hotel did everything to make our visit nicer, shuttle is available to base, and even had a mixer the night before with refreshments for the families. Big thumbs up!

After looking for days for a room we found this place that was prefect for my family 3 adults and 22 month old twins lots of room for all 5 of us . it was very clean we would stay here again on our next trip.

Older property, good condition,neat and clean, front desk- Angela- very helpful. Memorial Weekend booked with kids, hotel personnel had to threaten to kick rowdy kids out at 2 am right outside our room. Breakfast was skimpy, 1 waffle maker for 400 room hotel says we really do not want you all to have a waffle.

This is the 3rd time that my family and I stayed at this hotel while going to Six Flags. All three times, we have been more than pleased. The rooms were very big and accommodated 2 adults and 4 children very comfortably. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future.

This is the second time we have been there. Both times were for my daughters graduations from boot camp. It's a fun time..The hotel really makes us feel welcome. I recommend this hotel to anyone attending the boot camp graduations..Fun was had by all.

We did not have the roll-away bed I requested. The hotel said they said they didn't have the request in the comments area of the reservation made by hotels.com. Fortunately they had one available for us. Plus, it was an additional $10 charge which I didn't expect.

Great location for visiting Great Lakes Naval Base. Hotel was clean, pool very large great for traveling with children. The hotel is very much 70's feel with the wood and the Chicago must basement smell.

Was not in room much. When we were it was comfortable and easy to get around and get things. Enjoy the pool area and spa. It was clean and did not have that chlorine smell. I can not stay in an area with that smell. All in all we enjoyed the stay and would come back if in the area.

Nice hotel, very clean and the staff was very helpful when we needed them. It was good to have a restaurant/bar in the hotel.

This hotel was clean & comfortable... We were staying at another hotel (Crossland - Waukegan) & had to re-book (after one night) at the Ramada because the Crossland was so bad! Thank God we did! And, thank hotels.com for quickly & easily accomodating us... I highly recommend the Ramada at Waukegan Gurnee! For the additional $25/night over the Crossland, […] it was well worth it! 더 보기

The room was comfortable, however, there was a stale smell in the halls and rooms. Recommend lowering the rate for hotel/motel experience. Overall, rooms were okay.

Thge breakfast was really good The room was not, saw a couple bugs in the room, bathroom had mold in the corners of the ceiling, heater smelled horrible when it was on, so just kept it off.

The hotel itself was nice and comfortable. The restaurant was good and the brunch on Sunday was very impressive. We had our toilet clog during our stay in the middle of the night and asked for assistance but no one came. I need to call again in the morning to get it fixed. When the maintenance man came to unclog the toilet water overflowed onto the […] floor. Housekeeping was called but never came to clean up the bathroom.
