Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Parking attendent was really friendly and helped me understand the layout of the area and good restaurants as did the front desk staff.

Every staff member I encountered seemed sincerely happy to help me, what a great experience! Lots of smiles and welcoming staff.

Very nice hotel. Parking garage adjacent to hotel and rooms for easy access. Room service was great.The bed slept comfortably and I loved the shower. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Long brown hairs were on the sheets to one of the beds. The sink drain was apparently clogged which caused the water to drain very slow. Overall the hotel was convenient and nice.

Very nice staff. Easy parking. Love the warm chocolate chip cookie on arrival!

Only concern is that the hotel also booked me for my stay and now I have to spend time unraveling that.

Just didn't think it was worth the money

Was near Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital and has transportation to this and other locations. This is my second time to visit this Hotel and have enjoyed their service and comfort each time.

The hotel is a little old, but they have done a very nice job keeping it up to date. The rooms are very comfortable. THE REAL KICKER IS THE SERVICE. The people at this hotel were SUPER NICE!! I was very impressed and I would not have any problems staying at this hotel again.

Let me state by saying that I have stayed at many DoubleTree locations across the country. Upon arrival at the hotel I went to the front desk, there were a few ahead of me checkin in (not enough hotel personnel checking in (issue#1)). When it was my turn I was barely greeted by my clerk. She was very disinterested. When she was done with my reservation […] she handed me my cookies and said welcome to Doubletree. I looked at her and asked what room I was in. She looked down and with great reserve said oh i guess you will need your keys. Get to the room, ONE of THREE keys were coded correct to get into the room. Another trip back down to correct. By this time there were more people. I got in line to wait my turn. The attentive nature of all the people behind the desk was pathetic. They allowed other guests to barge up front to the desk without recognizing the line that was established by those waiting. I finally got the same clerk and she didn't greet me yet again, I explained the issue, she did not even say anything to me went to rekeying and handed me keys (still without saying a WORD.) Finally checked in and in room. Well, to make this short - the restaurant workers were the same way. Barely took our order, seemed like they didn't want to be there. I WOULD NOT SAY THIS WAS A DOUBLETREE HOTEL rating the service received. I have had better experiences when i HAD to stay at a Motel 6. 더 보기

This hotel does not meet any of the requirements to be associated with the Hilton name. It is a run-down, nasty, rude example of a wanna-be motel. The hotel staff was extremely rude and discourteous. I almost went to jail after being there 10 minutes. I was repeatedly told to have a blessed day if I wasn't happy. Extra charges for non-wireless in-room […] internet. Extra charges for parking. Extra charges for in-room amenities such as small fridge for my disabled wife's medications. The Lobby/Bar television had pornographic movies playing on channel 42 and the patrons had control of the remote. The room decor was outrageously horrible. The TV was outdated and the 20 or so channels consisted mainly of news or sports only. The carpet in the hallway on the 10th floor was so worn and traveled that it had huge wrinkles in it that caused me to trip and fall. The windows were so dirty that the grime showed up in pictures taken of the city skyline. I filed a complaint with Doubletree by Hilton and will never stay at this hotel again. I was in town to catch a show at the nearby Workplay Theatre. This hotel was about five blocks away from the venue. I wouldn't walk the blocks because part of the neighborhood is a bit dicey at night, but the hotel was clean / bright / comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the multi-level parking so near my room was a perk well worth $10 […] per night. I felt it was well worth the money spent, and will definitely stay here the next time I am in Birmingham for a show. 더 보기

We stayed here to go to the Magic City Brewfest. This location was convenient to the Brewfest at Sloss Furnace (2 mi by cab) and then the after party at 5 Points (5 min. on foot). Beds were extremely comfortable. Great location. Excellent rate. Will stay again.

This hotel is convenient to UAB and the medical center as well as five points. It is clean, the staff are nice, and the rooms are large and comfortable. There is free wireless in the lobby, but my one gripe is I wish there were free internet in the rooms.

A little more expensive than other hotels in the area, but in downtown Birmingham I'd pay a few extra dollars to be comfortable.

the hotel felt quite clumsy, and rather dark. the airconditioning was terribly loud, switching on and off all night long (woke up each time)
