Had an awsome weekend. Staff was more then kind. cant wait to head back to the plaza in kc. Will defenitly stay there again.

Very nice getaway to do a little shopping to suck up to the wife. The plaza has many stores and is right across the street from the hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and overall stay was very nice. I picked this hotel because of the location and it didn't disappoint. We were a very short walk from anywhere in Country Club Plaza. In addition to the location the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The downstair bar had live music and was full on Saturday night. Overall a was impressed; great for a weekend away.

This hotel is very nice for more for business purposes. Lots of meeting space. This hotel does not offer a shuttle service but does charge for parking.

I thought it was a little pricey for the size of them room... especially that there was an additional fee for parking as well as charging at fee to your credit card. Ive stayed at several hotels where they obviously hold your credit card info in their system then charging you at check out. A friend of mine stayed here as well for the same night and […] was charged outrageous prices for the simplest menu items... ie coffee and oatmeal was atleast triple the normal price (nothing special about this coffee or oatmeal). In the future I would probably stay somewhere else for half the price, a larger room and same if not better quality. As far as staff the bell man and valet guys were very helpful. Had a nice romantic getaway with my wife and we had a blast. Valet was convenient, we got an upgrade to a room with a fantastic view and there was a really good band playing in the bar. The hotel is a bit older but I personally like the older charm and everything was very clean. We'll be back next time we're in KC.

The Intercontinental in Kansas City is one of the top 5 hotels in the United States. Everything about it was phenomenal!

My daughter and I stayed at the Intercontenental for a Christmas shopping trip. Our room looked out over the river and the Plaza which has thousands of lights for Christmas. The room was spacious with a balcony. The food at the restaurant was excellent. All of the staff was very friendly too. I will definitely stay there again.

Room had strong odor of solvent. Valet couldn't find room with luggage, had to find him and luggage on another floor, who would think?? Other than that a nice stay, staff was very nice.

The location of this hotel can't be beat and it is definately one of the two best hotels in the area: however, it is getting tired and needs some updating. Rooms are missing pieces of furniture, coffee makers are missing parts, no mini bar refrigerator because it quit working, etc. All of the staff members we encountered were very helpful and friendly […] and there was no charge for self-parking. 더 보기

The Hotel Intercontinental is a great hotel that is close to KC attractions and walking distance to The Plaza. The hotel rooms could use painting. Our bathtub/shower unusually only gave us HOT water. No cold water. They need to do general maintenance.

I have never complained or ever written a bad comment about anywhere i have stayed but this was so over-the-top i had to comment! We were very disappointed in our two night stay and will not plan on going back. Paid extra money to stay on concierge floor for special occasion. Our room was directly under incredibly loud band playing for wedding on top […] floor. When we called down at 11:30 pm to ask about they told us it would end at midnight. No apologies were offered as receptionist seemed flustered as she said she was besieged with complaints. Band played until 1:20 am. Also during that time a very drunk couple arrived in the room next door and we listened to every word they said like the walls were paper until they must have passed out at about the same time the band finally quit. When we complained the next morning we were moved down the hall but no other concessions made. Not the relaxing weekend we anticipated for an expensive room! 더 보기

Tried to book a business trip only to find out my boss and I were expected to sleep in the same bed because they would not honor the reservation made.

For the money, I expected a little more. Needs some cleaning and updating, no fan in bathroom, shower didn't work well. Just expected a little more. Location is amazing though, and staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The people were very nice who worked here. Always willing to help. Live free music on Saturday night. They also upgraded us for our anniversary. Walking is easy to the plaza. Would love to come back!!!

A friend of mine and I wanted to go to KC to shop and get out of Des Moines for a quick evening. The Intercontinental provided a perfect location just a stones throw away from the plaza. The plaza has great shops and great dining and provided everything we were looking for. When booking, I booked a standard room. When checking in, I requested the Concierge […] Level. While they didn't have any rooms left for the Concierge level, they provided me with key access the lounge-which was really all I was looking for. This got us a cocktail hour with appetizers, great views of the plaza, and a free breakfast in the morning. The hotel provided us access at no extra charge! The Hotel location and my room was very clean with a view of the Plaza Area. All excellent. The Hotel Staff was kind and very helpful. Room service was good and so was the food. I thought for the premium price we paid our in-room ammenities would be better. For example, the bathroom was extremely small, with a very small bathtub. The main issue was no hat water on the morning of our departure. At breakfast the cusion headrest was missing of of the back of my part of the booth as well.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. It is within walking distance of country club plaza and in a wonderful location for all shopping and restaurants

Great Hotel! A nice get away intown. They upgraded us to a very nice 7th floor room overlooking the plaza. The lobby bar was nice. They also had a jazz band playing, Fun! We will be back! also, perfect location for all the fun on the plaza.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the cafe was good and reasonably priced. First time I had been to Kansas Ctiy and if I return would difinitely would stay here again.

If you wish to stay near the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, we enthusiastically recommend the Intercontinental Hotel. If it is available, we encourage you to pay the few dollars additional for the Concierge Room/Floor. You will receive the added privacy, and the extra "Happy Hour" with desserts. Plus, the breakfast in the morning is enough to begin […] your day. All included in the price of the room! Of course, the location directly across from the Country Plaza was a bonus. A stopper for me for considering another stay at Intercontinental was the charge for wireless Internet access. So, for my wife and I to keep up on the Internet, the charge was the cost of a decent meal per day. For me, the issue is not so much the amount of money as the feeling of getting stiffed for what is now considered and expected amenity like […] the coffeemaker and a clock radio. Even the budget hotels and motels offer free Internet. For a four-star that was not really a four-star, the insult of Internet charge is enough to stop me from returning. 더 보기

There was a shared door with the room next door which housed a mother, a crying childe and a screaming child all the time they were awak. Terrible experience.
