It's a small cheap and cheerful hotel not too far from Times Squares, Porth Authority Bus Station and even closer to Hells Kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything you would need. I particularly liked the High Def Flat screen TV along with fridge and microwave. The decor of the hotel is a little dated but that wouldn't […] deter me from staying there again. Room service wasn't the best as they order form outside but still it was better then none at all. Clean, comfortable, and no noise problems on the fifth floor. Staff was helpful and courteous. Nice location but not exactly by Toys R Us as was mentioned. Close to theatre and Hells kitchen. Would stay again.

Clean & Comfortable Room. Prompt service. Convenient location, if driving in. Good room rates (including parking).

The only complaint I have about this wonderful, economic and convenient hotel is that the rooms are so dreadfully hot at night. One needs the window open to keep from roasting!

I stay at this hotel every year when we have a convention at the Javits. It is a quick walk from there and has free, safe, indoor parking - that alone saves you about $35 per night. And, of course, the room rate is always really cheap if you book through hotels.com. You can walk to Times Square from there in about 10 minutes. I think they've done some […] renovating to the rooms because it seemed like the bedspreads were new and the carpets too. It's very clean and quiet which are two of the most important things to me in a hotel. No bells and whistles, but that's not why we stay here anyway. 더 보기

In my opinion this place is the best kept secret in NYC. Great Location, reasonable price, parking.

The free parking, central location, and great price (on special) made this hotel stay very worthwhile. This being New York, it was easy to overlook issues that would have been more problematic anywhere else. The room locations are a bit strange, especially in the winter. Some rooms are on interior corridors like regular hotel rooms. Others, such as […] the one I was in, are along an outside gallery around the central courtyard and swimming pool, like a 1960's motel. These rooms are quite noisy whenever anyone walks by. I was also near the elevator, which clanked all night long. It appeared that someone had checked in, then perhaps switched rooms, as a towel and soap had been used prior to my arrival. I also found a sock under my bed. However, arriving at night after a long drive, I was far too tired to care. Contrary to the Hotels.com descriptions, none of the smaller rooms have a microwave or mini fridge. This was a bit of an inconvenience as I had brought some snacks. There are also no coffee makers in any of the rooms. The hotel is located on 42nd street, within walking distance to nearly everything. The crosstown bus is on the front doorstep. We were also able to use our car, because the garage allows you to drive in and out at will. This allowed us to take elderly relatives on driving tours when they were too tired to walk or use the bus. I cannot over-emphasize the convenience of this parking bonus. In conclusion, this hotel was a great bargain, due to its location and parking. The rest was easy to overlook. In New York you don't spend much time a hotel room, and by the end of the day you are too tired to hear the noise... I would certainly stay at this hotel again. 더 보기

We got a great price at the last minute on this little hotel in Hell's Kitchen. It is within walking distance of the subway and Times Square. It is clean and comfortable. I requested a room overlooking the pool, but it was too cold in there for me, and the staff quickly moved us to another room. They put our bags in security while we went sight-seeing, […] and they have 24 hour room service that was actually really reasonably priced. We split chicken fingers, fries and a salad for about $20! So, the hotel is not a 4 star hotel. If that's what you're looking for - go somewhere else. But, if you want a basic, clean room that still has a tv/cable in a great location - you cannot beat this hotel. Amazing location with FREE parking!!!

If you are expecting a 5star quality room, them pay for one. We were very happy with the accomadation and staff.

Few blocks from everything, they checked us in early And were great. Staff were all friendly. Room was unbelievably quiet for it's location and a big room for NY. It was easy to get in and out of the city from the location and best of all parking was free!! FREE.. Very happy with my choice.

This is my sixth visit to the Traveler's Inn in NYC. My previous trips were great experiences. This one was an exception. My room was really small and the bed was incredibly noisy.... every move resulted in a large groan from the mattress and frame. We stayed here from other reviews we read on line and are so glad we did. Parking in the city is outlandish and this hotel had free parking. It was close to Jacob Javits Center where we were going and also close to Time Square and all the sights. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was clean and fresh towels every day. We felt very safe here […] and walking anywhere was no problem as there are police stations all over and officers on duty on the streets all hours. Couldn't be more convenient to the Javits. The free parking is just the best!

Great location, 5 minutes from times square. Free parking in the heart of manhatten - unbelieveable! Very good room (size, cleanliness, tv, iron, free wifi etc) View not amazing but hardly important. Add in the value for money and I'd stay here every time. Also let us keep our car there for the day even after checking out!

Hotel was a great value.. Especially considering parking was free. That was the main perk for us! The deli next door is affordable and descent quality food. The hotel overall was clean. Only complaint was the bedding. Comforter had a huge urine stain and looks like it hadn't been washed for over a year. They remade our bed but had no extra comforter […] to supply us with for that first night. Front desk agent seemed a little incompetent. He assigned us an Internet code for 6$ for 24h.. No problems except that although we were sharing the room, we needed two codes for both our smart phones. I asked for a second code and they charged twice without warning that seperate devices were extra. After speaking to the manager the charge was reversed. Kept making us travel all the way to front desk in person for any requests. Our room was situated at the back of the hotel and at 12am there were very loud trucks working from the hotels garage.. Which resumed working again around 7:30am the next morning. Again.. This was a huge disturbance. It could just be we had bad luck with our hotel room. However, the hotel is also a little far out from all the action. I'd recommend it in summer only. Walking 25 blocks to central park in January weather is extremely unpleasant. 더 보기

Stayed at the Travel Inn on 42nd street for 2 nights on a recent trip to NYC and it was just what I was looking for. I drove into the city and was drawn to the hotel for its free parking. Noise was a slight problem in the room, as you can hear everything from the streets (people walking/talking, cars, horses), but surprisingly, the room was well insulated on cold nights. We stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago, then couldn't get a room last time we visited the city. This time we got lucky and landed a very nice, spacious room and were ecstatic! Granted, there are many hotels in NYC that are far posher than this. We come to the city to see the city, not hang in the room. The staff is more than friendly and helpful with any info you need to see everything New York has offer. And the location is perfect! Overall, a clean, well-located hotel, just a few block off Times Square. Reasonably priced for NYC. Stayed the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day to with my daughter to visit my son and go to the Macy's Parade. My only negative: if you're calling it an early night, better leave the TV on to sleep as you'll hear your neighbors come in or even their TV. We rented 4 rooms for our party of 15. Easy access of the highway, clean hotel, refrig/microwave in each room, updated bathrooms, tv's, furnishings. Deli for breakfast/lunch/dinner right next to the hotel. Great breakfast. We will return for other adventures in NYC!

We were travelling on a low budget so we decided to stay at the Travel Inn for 4 nights. The hotel was clean and the location is pretty awesome, only a 4 minute walk to the Times Square, subway, restaurants etc. Unfortunately the staff was not very friendly, I never saw them smile or hear them say "you're welcome". After the second night of insomnia I asked for another room, and after a little discussion with the management I got another, even bigger room which was very quiet. In the first room the shower knobs didn't work properly so the one for the hot water was really hot after a few seconds. We burnt our fingers and had to use a towel to turn the water off again. Since it was winter, we didn't use the pool, but it looked clean. You have the possibility to store your luggage after check-out which was really nice. All in all, if you're travelling on a low budget and only stay a few nights, I'd recommend this hotel. You should only ask for a very quiet room, nothing next to the elevators. The rate was as better than any we could find in NYC, and I expected much less than we got. It was so convenient we could walk to the theatres. Room was small but adequate for what we needed. We didn't come to NY to stay in the room. We would stay there again.

The hotel is old, fairly well maintained, but in a poor location at the west end of 42nd Street. The room was hot with no air conditioning, only a fan for outside air. If you open the window (definitely necessary) you get the noise from 42nd st (one of the busiest streets in the city). Good location to all of the attractions. Felt overpriced for the quality of rooms. Customer service was ok. They were not very helpful with answering questions and assisting in travel details.

Close to the Theater District. Adequate rooms with good indoor free parking. Very good value.

The hotel is very close to Time Square. The standard are okay for the asking price. If location is important to you and price can´t be to high this might be a hotel for you.

This location is very convenient - close enough to Times Square, but not right in the thick of things. The free parking is an excellent perk. It is also convenient for traveling from the south - it's a block or so from the Lincoln Tunnel.

Room was clean and large enough. Only complaint is that bed was not comfortable. Front desk did allow early check in and held our bags after we checked out.

It was great for the stay with our daughters. Staff were a little gruff and we had to call 2 times for towels and we still never got the towels. I had to walk to the front desk and get them myself. But the overall was good.

Free parking was a draw, but with total costs, it was still comparable to other hotels. However, location was the best. Just off Lincoln Tunnel, and a few blocks from 12th Ave(Rt9a), making it very convenient to get in and out of town. No coffee in the room is the only thing that prevented me from giving this a top rating!

The room we were given for 4 people was very small. It had 2 double beds but it didn't even have dressers or any space at all to put our luggage. We paid more for this room in November than we did for a much larger room in April that also had a refrigerator.

Enjoyed my stay. I especially appreciated being able to park on site.

Never got the internet to work, so I had to walk all over to find a place with internet - eventually found a Starbucks! Asked the front desk to call a cab, which they did not do, so I had to walk up to the street and hail a cab, so get to the airport! Room not very clean, had a funny smell. Will definitely NOT stay here again.

Hotel was inconveniently located. Room was ice cold and did not have access to make it any warmer. Room had access to internet but had no ethernet? Would not recommend this hotel.
