Like most Novotels, this one is set up for business. Good sized room with comfortable bed and sofa bed, no bath but large shower with rain shower head. Not sure Internet worked - I gave up - and breakfast at £13.95 and parking at £7 adds up to more than I would want to pay privately.

Good hotel with clean rooms and helpful staff. It is close to most major attractions however let down by the restaurant. The dinner was below expectation as the pork ribs were raw from inside and thai green curry lacking in flavour. We stayed one night at the Novotel en route to Norwich, it was ideally placed between the waterfront and the town, the room was very comfortable and the staff very welcoming and efficient. we did not partake of the breakfast as like other reviewers we found it expensive and we didn't want a full breakfast. also when will UK hotels get with the programme […] and offer complimentary WiFi? it's getting a little boring being charged £10 to get on the internet. that said I would stay there again, I left my husbands cashmere coat in the wardrobe and they kept it safe until I could collect it on my return journey home 더 보기

hotel is in an excellent location for a visit to Ipswich. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. Have to pay for parking but you do everywhere thesedays !! definately recommend this hotel.

There wasn't anything wrong with this hotel at all really. The lift didn't work when we arrived but was fixed within a few hours. Biggest complaint would be the inadequately sized car park which was, inevitably, full when we arrived. Because of this I had to park at the pay and display across the road. This was fine and not too expensive, with one […] MAJOR problem. It was only possible to pay up to 8am the following morning. meaning I had to endure a very difficult , hung-over, walk across the dual carriageway at 7.55 to stick some pound coins the machine. Not fun. Room was fine (if a little strangely laid out) and the breakfast was very good (particularly like the little one-man booths with a private TV, overcame the boredom of solo dining very well). Very comfortable and friendly hotel. Easy walk from station. Plenty of pubs, cafes and restuarants within easy walking distance. Plus very nice icecream parlour around the corner, yummy!

For a lower end hotel, the inclusive breakfast was good. Lots of choice of hot and cold food in a buffet format. It's no Malmaison, but fab for the price range. The only real negative of or trip was that they had no space in their (rather expensive!) car park. After a long journey to Ipswich, we then had to spend a fair while locating some parking […] elsewhere and carting our belongings to the hotel. 10 minute walk from the train station, right on the edge of the old district, across the street from a modern center including a theater. Room was reasonable, hotel staff friendly. Only issue was with heating, it was overly hot and dry in the room. But then that seems to be the norm in a UK hotel in the winter.

Do not order room service, the food is horrible. The mattress was rock hard. Also, they tried to sneakily charge me for parking in the car park even though I didn't have a car. Will not stay there again!

After leaving a car window open the staff secured the the vehicle for me prventin damage by rain and possible thefy..thank you so much

HOTEL WAS NICE AND CONVENIENT. RECEPTION STAFF WERE POLITE AND FRIENDLY. BREAKFAST WASNT INCLUDED IN OUR TARRIFF BUT WERE EXPENSIVE IF YOU BOUGHT IT IN THE RESTAURANT. £15 PER PERSON IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. YOU ALSO HAVE TO PAY £5 FOR PARKING WHICH WAS A LITTLE CHEEKY REALLY BEARING IN MIND YOUVE ALREADY PAID FOR YOUR STAY. I have stayed here a few times before but the hotel has been refurbished and has a roomy and clean and tidy feel about it. This time I was with my wife and two grandchildren (11 and 9), in a family room. Reception were very welcoming and helpful. Children were clearly welcome too. There were plenty of towels for all 4 of us, and all the facilties one expects (but don't always find) including Sky TV, coffee/tea, hairdryer, bath and shower etc. Breakfast was superb, either continental or English - or indeed both! - and available until noon (Sat), and I was happy to pay an extra £5 for secure parking, which I used until the early evening of Saturday, hours after checking out. Parking was a problem before they fitted barriers, and I was locked in for hours on a previous visit by a non-resident fly parker. Friendly Staff; good location -- a couple of minutes from town center, and 10 min walk from train station.

Veldig bra opphold, flott rom, stille og rolig selv om det er en rundkjøring rett ved. Og ikke minst veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening.

Åkte till Ipswich för att se på The Town mot Birmingham på Portman Road och valde detta hotell tack vare det höga betyget. Vårt val var inget misstag; hotellet höll för förväntningarna i alla avseenden.
