Great in Alexandria. Close to old town, free hot breakfast, free parking, full kitchen in room, maintained well.

I was disappointed. The hotel is very worn and the staff seemed inexperienced at the front desk. When I arrived on Saturday, I overheard the front desk person tell another customer that where wouldn't be a Manager on duty until Monday morning. It seems very odd that there isn't a manager in charge at all times. When I went to the desk Monday evening, […] I again heard the front desk person that there won't be a Manager on durty until 7am the next morning. Again, I did not feel comfortable knowing that essentially no one was in charge in these days or hours of my stay. I also felt the front desk staff lacked experience and one person was trying to answer the telephone, check accounts and answer questions at the front desk. Their performance did not inspire confidence. The location of this hotel is perfect when I visit my brother in Alexandria. However, I would hesitate to stay there again. 더 보기

The handicapped suite (206) was very nice. It was cold though for two days and nights with no heat available. It also needs another mirror besides the short one in the bathroom.

Don't expect much from the free food but the hotel is excellent. Huge spacious rooms great for family with two kids, they get there own room.

We were visiting relatives nearby and going into DC for entertainment. The suite was really a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and large living dining area with sofabed, The bedroom held two double beds. We enjoyed all the space. It is not fancy but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is included and there were eggs and sausages, fruit, […] yogurt, cereal, and a waffle maker along with juice and coffee. The hours of the breakfast are limited, until nine on weekdays and ten on weekends which is not always easy but they do not mind if you take food upstairs to sleeping family members which I did several times. I recently stayed at the hawthorne with a family of 5. We were taking tour of the Washington area and needed a place that could accomadate a family and not kill my pocket. We found the one bedroom suite perfect. The hotel is an older one but it is very well maintained. The location is perfect and they even offer a shuttle service to the train.. kitchen was shabby and too few dishes. One cereal bowl! One coffee cup! one glass in bathroom for TWO people. No teaspsoons. Bathrooms need several hand towels, not just two. did appreciate green policy for changing sheets. Air conditioning was ON even tho temps were in the 50' and low 60'sand in teh 40's at nite. Great hotel with courteous staff although the driveway to the hotel is somewhat awkward. Surrounding area is outstanding and the location is convenient.

We stayed in the hotel for three nights. The weather were highly fluctuating and in the night in 40s. The room was very cold. When brought this issue to front disk, they said that hotel moved to cold and it is no longer possible to heat the room. The proximity to DC was great. The free breakfast was good with lots of choices. The eggs and bacon/sausage was marginal, but everything else was good. The only real complaint was that the shower drained REALLY slowly.

I really liked my stay in Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Alexandria. The room was very big, bright and beautiful with a very good view. The staff are also very respectful and helpful. Considering the price, it is a very convenient place for that amount. I would like to book the same hotel again if I travel to DC!

Great value. Hotel room was good size. We got the smallest room to save money. Our friends paid a bit more and had a 2-room suite! Two problems: the location is close to DC but you'll need a car. If you get a highway side room, the steady din of traffic may bother you. Also, the breakfast was filling but the breakfast room gets crowed. This was a great stay. Staff was superb and the hotel was very accommodating to our group of visitors to allow us to enjoy dinners in the open breakfast space together on the weekend.

We had a very nice stay. I'd choose this hotel again. However the room is right next to the elevator and IF it was a busy weekend it would be too noisy.

We came for a school trip, and I must say everything was amazing especially for the price paid. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

It wasn't terrible but it was bad. The young ladies at the counter was ghetto. I came to the counter to ask a question they looked at me and kept talking. I had to interupt there conversation in order to ask my question. the asian lady that worked at night was cool but that heavy set spanish girl with all that make up was too much. the bathroom had […] mold in it as well. The hotel was very nice and clean you can not ask for much more. The front desk help was not as friendly as expected but overall the check in process was wonderful. Enjoyed my stay. Best rate for the area. Clean and confortable room. Only disapointement is the front desk who was unable to suggest any restaurant in the area and the shuttle driver eating french fries and mc donald while driving (my last day)

This hotel was nice and the breakfast bar was nice also. But the bathroom need more amenities shower cap, hand and bath soap lotion etc But my overrall stay was very nice service was great.

Hotel was not nice at all. Or was supposed to have gone through a remodel but looked horrible mold in the shower door in the bathroom the ceiling was falling apart along with the ceilings in the room itself total crap hole the bed was comfy that's about it!!!! Great hotel, excellent price. Was very clean and well maintained. The only thing i did not like is you have to put 25.00 on your credit card and you do not get reimbursed for days after. But i would definitely recommend to my friends. It was close to downtown Alexandria.

Is near the 395 so you can listen all the noises, I left the hotel because to much noise around me the others costumers

Great kitchen and large TV! Also, the free shuttle to the metro made my morning commute into DC very easy.

VERY LARGE HOTEL ROOM FOR PRICE. It is the size of a studio apartment, with separate living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. Yet the price is the same as a standard single room double-double at any other hotel chain. So, great bang for the buck. Complimentary dinner and breakfast was a bonus. I absolutely love this hotel. It's very nice and affordable. I've stayed here numerous times, and it's so easy to drive into DC from this location. The rooms are all pretty much the same. They have always been clean. I have no complaints here.

We travel for business all the time, the was the best hotel for the price we have gotten through Hotels.com for a long, long time. Thanks, it was beautiful and breakfast was great.

This hotel was a very nice hotel, very clean the room we stand in was so very large over 6 people could have stand with plenty of room. The Employees were very nice and helpful. Everything about this establishment was first-rate, except for the food service (breakfast and a light supper, which they call the "manager's reception"), which was unexceptional. Also, there is almost nothing within walking distance. You have to drive in one direction to get to a supermarket, another to find a pharmacy, and so forth. This hotel is about 15 min from DCA. Rooms are confortgable, No outside noise, considered is next to the Freeway. Not that conveniece if you need to get to the airport fast. Traffic could be horrible at times. Good hotel, confortable, staff was friendly, free internet/parking. I would stay again.
