Good location but a little hard to see from interstate. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Elevator slow and noisy, breakfast okay but nothings special. Comfortable beds.

We have stayed here as a group over the last several years. We came to the conclusion this location is in need of an update. Plus carpeting in halllways as well as rooms are starting to show too much dirt. Walls etc are starting to be nicked up and elevator could have used a general cleaning as well. The first room was not cleaned at all, dirty toilet, as if the maid had been on vacation in there. They did not provide extra towels and there was not any available cots. Wouldn't do them again at all. Also, no microwave or fridge in room which is unusual for La Quinta. It looked a lot better outside than the room turned out to be.

Overall this hotel was good for the price. The area was lovely as well as the hotel grounds. It was very picturesque. My only disappointment was that the rooms didn't have microwaves and mini fridges. When we ate out we had nowhere to store our take-out boxes or reheat if we wanted to finish our food.

We arrived and the hotel looked cheaply painted and awkwardly laid out. Got to the room and the AC was on 60 degree so we turned it up to 68, the heat came on and the room smelled like it was on fire. Went to front desk and told the lady, the maintenence guy and front desk lady were rude and said that we couldn't have another room and that it was our […] fault for turning the air up. The room was ok just the bathroom was old and not clean looking. The tub and counter top was stained.

Stayed there twice last week on the way to Florida from Kentucky and on the way back. First stay was decent but the second stay was absolutely appalling! It was the 2nd floor and a room had been flooded a couple doors down and they had stuffed towels under the door to hide the smell. The smell was so strong of cat urine that I had the staff spray our […] room to try and deter it but no luck. It was late and had no where else available to go so I opened up the roll away bed...finding the mattress filthy and get this, a beach ball size old blood stain right in the middle of it. I immediately rolled it out, sanitized my hands and called the front desk. I told the desk clerk about the mattress and she said "I know it, those things are terrible but we have others ordered." Needless to say it didn't help us that night, thank goodness the other was clean. I had no idea this hotel was pet friendly so if you can't handle strong pet urine smells in every hall way and out every door to the outside or blood stain beds, drive by this one guys! 더 보기

My stay wasn't as pleasant as i thought it would be. I was put in a room that was not smoke-free. The other residents on the floor were running up and down the hall.

The hotel was convenient to I-65 making for an easy drive to UAB. Was also able to explore my old neighborhood in Mt. Brook without difficulty. I was alone on this trip (YEA!!!) so the well lit parking lot and 24 hour locked doors were appreciated. The room was great for what we needed it for - out of town wedding. We enjoyed the waffles at breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. The room was very accomadating for our 2 kids (16 and 2) and us. Overall, it was a pleasant.

Could not have had a nicer, more helpful staff and a good location. Hotel was a bit run down in some public areas, especially the elevator, and while the front desk would make copies or send a fax, or even print out something you sent via email, there was no business center, a major shortfall. Good hotel for one night stay. A little run down but clean, quiet, and in a safe area. We did have to ask for towels though as there weren't any in the room.

The Hotel was good in the distance to the hospital, the person at the service disk was well mannered and polite to my wife and I. But the hotel was the not best we stayed in, sad to say. This was a great hotel for my purposes - it was clean and comfortable, close to where I needed to be, the help was courteous, the the breakfast was quite good and well laid out so you didn't climb over people getting to the food. Price was reasonable.

Only complaint was that no wash clothes were available in our room the second day we stayed there. Otherwise this hotel was a good value for the price. Would be nice if free internet was in the room instead of just the lobby.

Great hotel great price the only bad thing was there wasn't any wifi. I had homework to do and could not do it.

This Hotel is a No! No! At the hotel site, I requested a room close to the elevator doors because of my handicap. They just refused to do that. I checked on surroundings hotels in the area that were willing to do that. LaQuinta could not advanced my paid for room to another hotel. I struggled to get to the room LaQuinta assigned me. Having set there […] a couple of hours I settled down. I ordered some food from a nearby restaurant. I began to eat, when BED BUGS overtook both the beds. The hotel management knew that I was a handicapped person and still assigned me to a room infested with BED BUGS. I got out as soon as possible. This was a cold and cruel act to put a handicapped person in an area of the hotel they were aware was infested with BED BUGS. I contacted management to no avail. Not one person responded at all. Great staff, great stay

It was close to Samford University, many restaurants, and stores. Comfortable beds and clean room. Unfortunately, there is no refrigerator in the room. Some people got stuck in one elevator for awhile. The lights went out on the other elevator the next night so I had to ride it in the dark since I was on the fourth floor. It was a great location. The staff and the hotel was superb!

Service in this hotel was above and beyond, the people were very nice and helpful, however, it was an old building, not bad, just old, carpet rinkled, walls a bit dirty looking, the outdoor pool was green.. but I could smell the chlorine. didn't feel slimy, was just green.

Room was fine however, I asked for a 6 a.m. wake up call and it never happened. Luckily I was able to wake up myself just in time to get to my appointment.

I enjoyed this hotel very much. The room and facilities were pleasantly attractive and the price was great.

I recommend only if you have pets. Great having hotel that takes pets. However, if you don't have a pet, seeing people with dogs in and out of rooms makes you feel like your room may have had pets and may not be so clean. Elevators at this hotel seemed third world...really bad. Also..one washer and dryer in this size hotel was not good...especially […] after washing clothes, found out that dryer was broken...only dryer. 더 보기

Not really the hotels fault but I got there and they only had a smoking room and unfortunately for me my alergys had falred up the day before. Hotel.com was gracious enough to allow me to go look for another hotel but none to be found close enough. I cannot believe the state of the non smoking rooms at this hotel, halls not airconditioned room had change […] on the dresser, someones pen and scratch pad (I was afraid they may have double booked so I put the chain on the door), the rest of the hotel was fine but this area even had an elevator of its own. Non smoking room smelled badly of smoke. As if they had just removed the ash trays. Initially, checked in to a room already occupied at 12:30 AM. Had to return to the desk where the only response was "There shouldn't be anyone in that room" I won't be returning here.

The rate was great and the pillows were the super comfy type. It was easy to locate and comfortable. I would definitely come back.
