Choose this hotel since it was close to the airport and I have stayed at other La quinta's in the past with good results. I would not stay her again. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful with a list of nearby restaurants. I was placed on a floor of which half was smoking so it permeated in the hallway. Fortunately the room did not smell. When […] I pulled down the bread spread cover to go to bed at night several stains were on the blanket. Housekeeping should be told to throw out any stained linen which does not come out in the wash. close to all Portland attractions. Walking distance to Hadlock Field and Portland Expo. Very Clean. Good continental breakfast

Average hotel, but not so friendly staff, nice and fairly new rooms, free parking

Very convenient and above the 2 .5 stars

We were very pleasantly surprised with the cleanlieness of them room and the facilities. Our expectations were not very high given the good price on the room but they were exceeded in every way! Kudos to the staff and managment. Solid 8 of 10 Brian from Massachusetts

Clean, free breakfast, comfy beds, very nice and pleasant stay. It is about 10 minutes out side of town.

cold, cannot make the temperature higher, feels like around 70F, cannot turn it off, the fan always bring some cold wind, and noisy. no quilt, only blanket. far from downtown.

Nothing special just a regular reliable La Quinta. Location is handy and (like many La Quinta's it is very close to Denny's

Staff was ready and waiting for us with our reservation, they answered the phone promptly when we called, everyone was really nice, and the room was great!

We were there for 3 days. The staff was outrageously friendly and helpful, and seemed happy, enthused, and interested in us, and in other customers. Our room smelled (needed a shampoo: room 101) but otherwise it was very nice. We'll be back.

There didn't seem to be much available in Portland last weekend. La Quinta was convenient to my husband's meeting, and also would be convenient to the airport and Maine Medical Center. The neighborhood is not great, but not too bad. The Dogfish Cafe is a couple blocks walk and across from that is a bus stop for the #1 bus route which goes down Congress […] St, turns around and comes back the same way. That will get you pretty close to almost anywhere you want to go in the city. Buses ran about every 20 minutes on Saturday. Driving is a little crazy with 1 way streets, but parking is not expensive. 더 보기

I do not think the sheets were cleaned... I found debris and hair at the end of the bed and on one side of the bed... gross!!! The room must have been a smoking room at one point and still had the stale smoke smell. It was convenient to the road race I was running in and relatively close to downtown areas.

This hotel is great if you're only travailing through. It's located near the exit on the highway, but quite far from the city center. A car or cab is definitely advised for moving between the hotel and the city centre, because you travel through a neighbourhood that we did not feel comfortable with on foot after dark. The area the hotel is in is bad. Very industrial and not an area you would take a walk. Not convenient to downtown or harbor area of Portland. Bed was terrible. My wife actually slept on the floor.

We have stayed at this particular LaQuinta several times however, something has happened here! Check in was uneventful, neither friendly nor unfriendly, very matter of fact. Our room was the most disappointing. The tub was so plugged that we had long intervals before the next person could shower/bath. Although the problem was reported nothing was done […] about it. I don't see how housekeeping staff can properly clean a tub without noticing how terrribly plugged up it is,,, and that is the scarry part!!! Also the electrical switch plate outside the bathrrom was so, so filthy that I cleaned it myself. There was more uncleanliness in the room but....... lets just say, there will not be the chance of it bothering us anymore! 더 보기

We stayed at this hotel due to price and location. It was not far from Old Portland and the room was spacious, clean, and up to date. The hotel did have a funny smell but not enough to keep us from staying there. Breakfast was what you would normally get and overall we would stay here again.

The first room that I was in had a very bad smell. It was as though there had been a wet dog in it and the odor was being masked by rug cleaner. It started to give me a headache. The young man at the front desk was very kind and found me another room immediately. I give them much credit for having such an accommodating staff.

We stopped here for a one day stay in Portland on our way up to Bar Harbor. I figured for the price, how bad could it be for one night? It was awful. This hotel was at least 15 years past prime. The furniture was shabby and tacky. I expected much more for the price.

Terrible. Shower curtain is very dirty with mildew.

This hotel is nicely situated and pretty easy to find. The front desk staff was to the point and not so friendly, but the breakfast was pretty good with hot and cold food. The rooms are clean and efficient, but the walls are pretty thin. Overall it was a good stay and it was pretty economically priced. We will definitely stay there again.

Pricey (most of the Portland hotels were pricey unless out by the airport or in other towns close by) but room was clean except for floors, which had been vacuumed but the carpets blackened our freshly washed feet! Ugh! Need to shampoo them more regularly! Asked for room away from railroad noise- we had 2 babies- but got the room 2nd closest to the […] railroad on the ground floor! Babies slept well the first night but I did not due to trains every 1-2 hrs. They brought us a crib in a timely manner for free. Also free continental breakfast was terrific! Ahh hot fresh waffles in the morning! Pool area was great & privately nested in trees to give feeling of privacy despite being in the city. Not heated though. Laundry facility was very useful with kids! Door on fridge in room was faulty & did not keep food cold - had to pitch most items that were put in it. Check that out for proper working order when entering room if you need one. Microwave was fine. I would definitely recommend the hotel but it was pricey per night even with the online discount! Be sure to bring flip flops or slippers for the dirty floors. They do allow pets in rooms so that may account for floors. Perhaps only designated rooms should allow pets & people are asked & given a choice for pet friendly or not when making reservations. Would stay again. 더 보기

Comfortable hotel, a few minutes drive from downtown. Very clean and happy with value for money.

The hotel could use some freshning up, and the breakfast serving/seating room is too small. However, we found our stay to be convenient.
