Only stayed for one night. Didn't get a chance, nor the time, to look around.

Small rooms, the bathroom on my 31 Ft boat is bigger.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights recently. The hotel was nothing too fancy but it was very clean and nice. There was a nice outdoor area but because the weather was cool we did not use the outdoor fire pit nor the pool. Would definitely come back.

The Hyatt was very nice. One of my sons got quite sick during our stay and the staff was very sympathetic and helpful.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding our staff. It is not fun being sick, especially when you are not at home. I am glad we were able to comfort your son as if he was at home. I hope to see you back at the Hyatt Regency Irvine soon.

"Great service"
All of the staff I encountered at this Hyatt location were pleasant and helpful. I was especially satisfied when they moved me from a non-smoking room that smelled of cigarette smoke without any hesitation or questions.
We apologize that your first impression was in a room with smoking odor. We appreciate your flexibility with the room move and for bringing this to our attention. We will use your experience as a training scenario for the room attendants to recognize the need for deep cleaning after someone has smoked in one of the non-smoking rooms. It is our main focus to provide authentic hospitality and we are rewarded to hear that you found everyone that you encountered to be helpful and friendly.

I guess she must have been having a bad day. This woman at check-in (Denise) had such an attitude and she was so disrespectful to me that I was absolutely furious. I received a polite response from a staff member but he stated "We stand by all of our associates ..." It may only be a few thousand dollars but we have decided not to stay or send any of […] our acquaintances, personal or business, to Hyatt (this week, we began sending everyone to the Sheraton). Hyatts in other countries, in my opinion, deserve the high ratings. But if an employee is rude and they say they stand by their staff, what more is there to say? If you read other reviews about this Hyatt, you'll notice words like "not a 4 star hotel". In my opinion, this is absolutely true. The beds and the room were comfortable enough but their business is hospitality. Shouldn't we expect not good, but exceptional service from a name like Hyatt? To allow/stand by an employee at the check-in counter with an attitude... That is simply unacceptable. It may only be a drop in the bucket for them, but I know I'm doing my part in not supporting ...... well, let's just say we won't be putting our money in their pockets anymore. 더 보기

Our company Christmas Party was at the Hyatt and it was very convenient and reasonable to book a room that night. The room was very nice and we had a great breakfast the next morning.

Got in at one in the morning. Unloaded to a cart. They said that a bell hope would have to bring it up to me so i said ok. 30 Min go by and my luggage is still not at my room I go down stairs and all my stuff is sitting where i left it unattended. the room beautiful, but, hard bed, no grip mats in shower, very dangerous, and the worst the hotel charged me 86.20 to my credit card, for another guests dinner just because they had my same last name, still waiting to get my money back, expected alot more from the hyatt.

Condition room or maintenance of the hotel are NOT a good. Need more clean of the room or better services make comfort for the customers.

"This Hotel kills its name"
I used to stayed at Hyatt when I traveled but this hotel would kill my suggestion. They cut corner to the point that water at the sink run so slow... uncomfortable to wash our face.... I would recommend to stay away from this hotel.

This hotel leverage's up sell to the maximum that was a bit distasteful. The room rate was not the total cost of staying in the hotel everything you needed was an extra $12+ a day. e.g. Parking Internet .... Just be honest with the price advertised!

My family was accommodated at the hotel for two nights before we moved to our rented apartment. During the precessing our apartment rental contract, we stayed at the hotel very comfortably. It was very quiet and clean. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was very kind.

We apologize that parking was an unexpected expense. We maintain parking services and associates that provide services for the hotel. We are fair with the pricing and very competitive in the market. Some hotels only offer Valet without the option for a lesser price for self-parking. We have an excellent Café located in the lobby that offers a much wider variety of items then could be offered in a vending machine as well as the convenience of specialty items stocked in the guest room itself. The staff was first class, we got to the hotel a little early but they accommodated us with no questions. The room was very clean, and except for a little too much noise next door, it was wonderful. A great location close to the airport and freeways... would highly recommend.

The shuttles run efficiently and the front desk is very quick. The room was quite clean, but the drain in the bathroom was slow. Internet was unnecessarily expensive. The gym was well-equipped.

We are competitive amongst all the other full service properties in the area. You have touched on a couple features that really do make a difference for many of our guest. The complimentary shuttle service which is seven to ten minutes to and from the Airport and the Stay Fit Fitness Center that offers twenty four hour access to all of our guests. It is our goal to provide quick and efficient service and we are rewarded to hear your comments. We hope that we will see you back for future stays in 2012.

I did really enjoy my stay in here but it might only be due to bad luck as many guests liked the hotel. The Air conditioning was terrible. I stayed for 7 nights and I have been calling every night to send someone to fix the Air conditioning. I also asked for a mini fridge on the morning to store my own stuff in (since the one came with room is filled […] with their stuff which is very expensive to consume) and also requested additional hangers. I left the room about noon and came back at night (~ 9pm) and found nothing in the room. I canceled the mini-fridge request but still waiting for the hangers. Finally at 11 pm they came up but unfortunately 4 out of 10 were usable the rest I could not hang them on the cabinet because they just won't fit on the bar in the cabinet. Other than that, everything else was kinda okay. AFTER TALKING TO THE RECEPTIONIST: They took 3 orders of breakfast off my bill as a compensation (as I was having 2 orders of breakfast every morning in the hotel at 6bar cafe in the hotel's lobby level) 더 보기

Check in was fast. I had an ajoining room and found the people in the next room to be very loud. My room was changed without queston. I would suggest avoiding a room that shares doors as there is no sound privacy at all!!!!!!

At first I was very excited to have booked such a nice hotel at what I thought was a low rate. Upon arrival, I was filled with disappointment. The price I paid was not including an additional sixteen dollar parking fee PER CAR! (we had two cars in our group) With four people in our group, I booked a 2 bed room. More disappointment to come.They gave […] us a 1 bed room, and brought up a twin size folding bed. One of us had to sleep on the floor. Not done. To top things off, they had a service charge of more than ten dollars to acces their wifi network! Really?! This is 2011! Even fast food places have free wifi! These charges are common place in all full service hotels in Irvine and beyond and both our internet and parking charges are the lowest of all Irvine full service hotels! Self Park or Valet, you had to pay. Cost of expensive. Restaurant food was great but a bit pricey.
We apologize if the parking added an unexpected expense for your stay. We offer a rate for parking that is competitive for the area with options for both Self and Valet parking. It is good to know that prior to staying with us so we make sure that we are clear on all the reservation options that there will be a cost associated with the parking. Great Hyatt with all you expect but this hotel in particular has a delicious kitchen, the dining experience is wonderful........great menu, food quality, diningroom environment and staff. This hotel makes being on the road easy....

"Good but could use some renovations"
The Hyatt is nice, its just that the rooms, especially the bathroom shower and t.v. are dated and they need to improve it to be current. overall, nice stay.

I read the reviews and was hoping that things were not as bad; I was wrong. This hotel falls short about 2 stars for a 4 star hotel. If you don't need to stay in the hotel, ti's great, the lobby is beautiful. Your accommodations on the other hand, not so great. The room is very small, the bath room is also very tiny, the ceilings are low giving a claustrophobic […] feel. The additional hidden fees are another unpleasant surprise ($16 if you self park, more if you use valet). The room I got had a view to the freeway and no balcony, if you want a balcony; you can have it for an additional fee. Out of several hotels in the area, I chose this one, even though it was a little more money but it was a 4 star and expected so much more than what I received. 더 보기
It is not common that we here about the guest room size as the standard guestrooms are spacious at around 350-400 square feet per room. The hotel can offer several different views with 536 rooms. Many people really find the location a positive as it is convenient and easy access the airport and other travel destinations in Southern California. We apologize that you were unaware of some of the additional fees. We are competitive in the area for all our upgrades and parking fees. We appreciate the feedback and hope that if we have the opportunity to regain your confidence we will be able to by providing the best service of any hotel in the Irvine area.

"very busy hotel"
Stayed in August and the hotel was filled with 12-16 year-old Soccer teams and a very large international student-age convention. would recommend calling ahead if your looking for some R&R.
We are very fortunate to be a busy hotel, we appreciate all our guests and are disappointed in hearing that your R&R was not as expected due to the level of group business we had in the hotel. Great advise as the reservations specialist can provide information about the group activity in the hotel at the time of booking. The bed was hard, the TV was a million years old, and the room smelled like cleaning chemicals and gave me a sore throat. Had to open the sliding door to the "balcony" for cleaner air and ended up not sleeping due to the traffic noise from the 405.
