Room was dirty, staff left dirty gloves, & linens in room from previous. Spoke with Mgmt they did not care.

Room was dirty, staff had left dirty towels, & used cleaning gloves laying around. Did report this issue with hotel clerk, all they said was sorry. & nothing done.

cheap prices, so i didnt expect a lot, great for its price and if you really need to pull off the highway to get some rest. only complaint was that the check in lobby smelled my i was sitting in an ash tray, other that that the room wasnt bad

The lady who makes omeletes does not walk around to check that there's enough milk in the breakfast area. During my stay for a few days, the milk ran out for 3 consecutive days around 8:40 AM. This is an employee training issue that can easily be resolved; hopefully, management reads this comment and acts on it. Also, it seems that when you book a room […] through an online vendor, this hotel reserves a handful of rooms --- always the same rooms --- and uses those rooms to fulfill the reservation. The bathrooms in those rooms are a bit run-down and I assume that eventually, they will refurbish them to a better condition. The hotel is in good condition but needs some maintenance; last time I was there, the rain was pouring through the ceiling in the hallway of the upper floor. The restroom and general hotel maintenance issues have existed there for several months; I hope they get addressed soon as they're not what I would expect in a Howard Johnson's. Nevertheless, everything is clean and my overall experience was good. The staff at the front desk are super nice folks. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast includes fresh fruit (apples, oranges) if you get there early enough. They have Fruit Loops (for kids) and plain bran flakes (without sugar coating) for adults. The orange juice is watered down, though; it would be nice if they adjusted the machine to mix a less watery OJ drink. They also have light patries which are quite good. Hope this helps. 더 보기

We were very happy with our room. We were actually upgraded from 1 King bed to 2 King beds. Also we really enjoyed the omelets for breakfast.

liked the hotel close to sacramento places to eat will stay there again

No guest soaps save 1 puck. No waters or coffee makings in the room. Housekeeping didn't do their job and we were too tired to make a stink. Had a better stay last time.

I was there for only one night, but I loved it. People were nice and accomodating, facilities were clean and comfortable. It was all at a very good price as well. I will be back for sure!!!

The breakfast included fresh hot waffles or made to order omletes. The vending machines included frozen treats. The staff was awsome. It was very comfortable and there was a great variety of dining options within walking distance.

The pillows were terrible, and the free wifi had such a low signal I was not able to get online.

We search on the internet for hotels close to Lincoln CA. There were many listed. This hotel was the least expensive and they had a room available. It was OK. Very basic, easy parking, shower was old but it worked. If we were looking for a place to stay and $ was a major priority we would definitely stay there again.

The bed wasnt too bad, but this hotel is older and it smelled like it. They did try to hide the smell with alot of air freshener, but after that wore off it had a musky odor. The only complaint...not being able to really see where it's at from off the road. It was very dark.

the hotel is clean and priced well. the room layout is not the best but the microwave and fridge were nice. best breakfast in a hotel and best hotel staff in the area

I and my family enjoyed staying at Howard Johnson. It was an excellent stay. I am grateful for that.

I had a quick business meeting nearby with a one night stay. The room had a King bed, sofa and writing table. It was a spacious room with a microwave, safe, and good sink counter top area. I would have liked the bed a little softer but I still slept very well. I will be staying here again. Very good value for the price.

Great hotel for the price. Very clean, front desk very helpful, breakfast better than your typical continental BF (had waffles/mushroom omelet)..like I said can't beat the price for what you get. I actually found it better than I expected.

Some of the hotel employees really need an extensive training to know how to provide a good customer service. They never notified me that I have some incoming phone calls, which is very bad. They provide very good continental breakfast. The hotel's daily charge is reasonable

We were planning to stay 2 nights while we attended a 2-day class nearby. At the last minute, our plans changed and we were unable to get there until the 2nd night. Since the reservation was non-refundable, and we'd already been charged, we didn't call the hotel directly. We did call Hotels.com and they said it was fine. When we arrived, no room. After […] an hour or so, we were given a queen, even though we'd paid for a king. On top of that, we had called the hotel directly prior to making our reservation to find out what the pet policy charges would be, and were told there was no charge for the pet. Turns out there is a "non-refundable deposit" for pets. On top of all that, we were scolded for not calling them directly and letting them know of our plan change. We were told to do that next time. I have never been blown away by a Howard Johnsons, and this was no exceptio, The staff was nice enough, but the rooms smelled funny and had a "cheap hotel" feel. It was the of place one would rent to film a cheap porn.

this hotel was way more than i expected, the breakfast was great (made to order eggs and more. It was very quite and clean. The staff was graet and helpfull. If ever in the area I will stay there again.

I was pleasantly surprised! I read other reviews and was really not sure about location, age of hotel and area. When we arrived, the staff was very nice, room very clean, nice accomodating lobby. Every morning there is a cook-to order omelet station along with nice breakfast options and a nice area to sit and eat. Nice check-in staff person was very accommodating. The hotel is older but well maintained. Staff is always working throughout the hotel.... cleaning the floors, sweeping the entrance, etc. The room was comfortable and simple. Internet was free but weak, select the strongest connection. We went to visit family. We enjoyed our visit in the wonderful town of Rocklin. The staff at HoJo from front desk to housekeeping appeared to be happy employees. They were all pleasant and helpful.

My friends went on a golfing excursion to the Sacramento area and stayed at Howard Johnson. Very clean with friendly service and good breakfast. Great freeway access and close to many golf courses and restaraunts. A definite bang for the buck.

We have stayed at this Howard Johnson's a couple of times when we visit our son, who goes to a nearby college. The price is amazingly affordable and the hotel itself is in pretty good shape. We rented two rooms. They were clean but very basic rooms. Beds were a little hard, but most hotel beds are. Breakfast with made to order omelets was a plus, but other than that, the breakfast was pretty much what you would expect for a continental breakfast. I stayed at H.J. for a mini vacation with my 6 yr old grandson. We went to Sun Splash & Sacramento zoo. The hotel was conveniently located to both places. When we checked in we were welcomed & quickly given our room. The room was clean & had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. My only complaint, the beds were not comfortable.

I stayed 3 nights, and the price was right. Quiet and convenient.
