호텔 룸바디 (Hotel Lombardy) - 워싱턴

컨벤션센터의 학회참석차 워싱턴에 묵었는데, 호텔 바로 앞에서 Circulator 버스(요금$1)를 타고 갈 수 있어서 교통도 편리했습니다. 두블럭만 가면 Wholefood Market이라는 대형 식료품점이 있어 매일 편리하게 이용했구요. 그 근처에 저녁먹을 식당(햄버거, 케밥, TGI, 스시 등)도 더러 있었습니다. 쇼핑과 관광지인 조지타운은 걸어갈 수도 있었지만, 주로 택시를 이용했습니다. 여자 3명이서 two double bed 룸에 묵었는데, 별로 불편함 없이 생활했구요, 화장실옆에 조그만 드레스룸같은 공간이 있고, 작은 주방공간(조리시설은 없음)이 별도로 있어서 공간을 잘 활용했습니다. 전 객실이 non-smoking […] room이라 그런지 비교적 쾌적했습니다. 다만, 방음이 잘 안되어서 바깥 소음때문에 새벽에 몇번 깼어요. 워싱턴은 새벽에 청소차와 앰뷸런스 등 차소리가 심하더군요. 아, 히터를 틀면 소음이 심하고, 방이 꽤 건조해지는 단점이 있었습니다. 더 보기

After extensive research we choose to stay at the Lombardy. This was based on reviews, convenience to so many things and price. Our stay was for 4 days. Overall it was a very good choice. The neighborhood had good restaurants, coffee shops and other stores. The Metro station was about two blocks away as was the public parking lot we used. Public parking […] was less expensive than the valet parking offer by the hotel. We also enjoyed walking around George Washington University which was nearby. As for our room, it was comfortable, clean and quiet. A refrigerator helped with groceries. The staff was pleasant and always available. One small criticism is that this is the only hotel I stayed at the didn't offer free coffee in the morning as far as I could tell, but Starbucks was around the corner. I recommend the Lombardy and when I go to Washington again it will be at the top of my list of places to stay. 더 보기

Very clean, Close to everything. Great Chinese food 1 block away. Comfortable beds. Great service and doormen. fantastic price compared to other hotels in area. Parking a little difficult. Park down the street at a parking garage for 11 dollars. Just a little noisy on Saturday night, lots of Sirens at night.

My daughter and I stayed there when we looked at George Washington University. How convenient! It is literally one block away. The room was wonderful and very cozy. The restaurant was good but the service was a tad bit slow. Overall - I would definitely recommend this location.

Not much for the price! I would not do this again.

Very nice room, no business centre but has a Fed Ex around the corner if you need to use computer/printer. Also a bonus that it is walking distance to major places of interest.

It is located in town called Foggy Bottom. It is between DC main sightseeing and Georgetown. Few blocks walking distance to public metro station and cheap cab ride to Georgetown. The bed was super comfortable! I enjoyed my stay.

Location was amazing for us as we were going to GWU. Hotel was very nice and the staff very accomodating. Price/value was great as well. So three small gaffs for them to work on. First, our room was not made up until the evening. Housekeeping came at 4:30 when we had just returned. After some discussion, they agreed to doit after 5:00 but that took […] discussion. Second, the bartender was great. The bar area could do with s makeover. (Can I do it?). Last, it took quite a while but snd glad we weren't in a rush! All said, we have two more reservations there. The hotel was extremely well located and accessible to all mass transit. The neighborhood was elegant and quiet on the weekend. The staff couldn't have been more responsive to our requests. The room was well appointed, comfortable & impeccably clean. Our only concern was that our room was not made up until late in the afternoon.

The walls of the rooms were very thin--we could hear people talking on the hallway as if they were standing next to us--but otherwise, we are very satisfied with the hotel.

A must stay when visiting D.C.! The friendliest staff, most beautiful decor, and the nicest bartender. Really enjoyed it!

I don't really have any complaints. Plan on $50/day for parking in their garage. Street parking is nearly impossible because meters are 2 hour max.

This Historic Hotel is located in an excellant area for walkers. It is within walking distance to the White House, Georgetown and numerous restaurants.

Hotel is nice,. the staff coulent be nicer. Great location to be near visiting GW. The rooms could use a bit of updating though.

We enjoyed our stay in DC. The staff at the hotel are very professional, friendly, and helpful.

Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel close to Georgetown and convenient to key locations in DC. Less expensive than Georgetown hotels.

OK, we lucked into this hotel only 8 blocks from the White House and the mall. Only 2 blocks from the subway and across the street from a small mall and liquor store in case you are interested. It did not work as stated.. Much effort but to no avail even after moving us..Management did not offer any options,financial or otherwise.

Absolutely loved the room and service, only the pillows were too big which made my neck a little sore.

Very lovely. Quaint and Elegant. Parking is a problem.

The surrounding neighborhood really closes up on the weekends. It is near enough to GW/Foggy Bottom for some restaurants and the Whole Foods. The immediate 3-block radius is pretty dead from Friday evening through the weekend. Very convenient metro access to the rest of DC, however.

We loved this hotel. Our room was much larger than we thought and the bedding & pillows were so comfortable. We were able to walk to Georgetown on the beautiful weekend that we were there. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I chose to stay at Hotel Lombardy because it was in a central location and not that expensive. I did not expect much else. It was quite nice. My room had a mini kitchenette with a refrigerator and mini sink which we took advantage of. There was a little dressing room off of the very clean and bright bathroom. My only minor complaint was that the pillows […] were too big/puffed up, and I really needed one that was a little thinner for my neck. The desk staff was courteous and the evening valet was great. He was so helpful with parking and greeted us warmly every time we saw him. We walked to the White House and Mall, Whole foods a few blocks away, and an amazing Sushi place a block away. This is a small boutique hotel in a historic building with lots of character. Very clean, very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. No complaints!

We were pleased with our stay at the Hotel Lombardy. The rooms were comfortable and clean; the staff were pleasant and helpful. Cost of parking was steep. You probably would do better using a public garage. All in all, we had a very good experience and would return should we want to be in GWU area.

Great place to spend a few days. Close to tourist sites but also convenient to night time relaxation and entertainment. Very reasonable rates and superb staff. Parking was high but it's downtown DC.

We were very happy with the hotel. The room was clean, the staff helpful. It was close to the Metro stop.

Does not have all the facilities of a modern hotel but is pleasantly old fashioned and conveniently located for down town Washington.

Clean rooms, many with kitchen areas, very comfortable beds, great location!

This hotel was amazing. I have found my base for when I am in DC for work. The staff were so friendly and helpful, my room was delightful and the cafe was perfect for business meetings. I would highly recommend staying here, as I plan to in the future. The staff take great care of you and go out of their way to answer your questions and be helpful. […] Do note, if your room is on the backside of the hotel, you do face other buildings and should close your blinds. The hotel is older with antiques and reminds me of a few places I stayed in Europe (but with bigger rooms and bathrooms.) If it's raining, borrow one of the oversized umbrellas from the front desk. I really love Hotel Lombardy for its character. It is a member of the historic hotels of america group, and it shows. From the tiny elevators, to the grand apartments, Lombardy is not the hotel for travelers who want 21st century bling: no excessive mirrors or spa. Instead, it has old-world class and charm. The staff have always been efficient and polite, […] even for late night arrivals, and the rooms are spacious and well stocked. The one drawback is the noisy alley behind the hotel. Someday Lombardy may choose to soundproof the rear windows a little better. Overall, Hotel Lombardy is great, it reminds me very much of hotels I've stayed at in Rome - an elegance, without the over the top perks, but with a relaxed charm. And by charm I do not mean cramped or dirty, I mean real wooden doors, powder rooms between the bedroom and the bathroom, and supernice doormen. Recommended, for families as well. Had a great overall experience. Staff was super friendly and the decor was very charming. Bed was extremely comfortable and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Quality furnishings, outstanding personal service, excellent bed and pillows. Within walking distance of what we came to do. One departure, bellman said, "We'll see you next time." There WILL be a next time. Great value.

Hotel was located in very nice part of town in close proximity of shopping, restaurants, entertainment & sight seeing.Made for a very relaxing weekend
