The desk service people were very kind, but I asked for a refresh service on my room for two days and never did get it, even after following up. The hotel is very run down - dirty carpets - beds are uncomfortable. Pets allowed and one was barking most of the night.

Brenda was excellent with an issue that I had with my original room. They moved us to a different room and follow up with us to make sure everything was okay.

Will never stay there again. We ask for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room that they put in a no smoking sign! How horrible. The window was even open when we arrived at 10pm.. I feel they were still trying to air the smoke out. I've stayed here twice now. This isn't a 4-star inn, but they don't claim to be. The price is great & the staff are very friendly. It's great to have a kitchen & the cable channel line-up is adequate. There was a mix-up regarding the room I booked on my most recent stay & they corrected it immediately. The only downside was during check-out on 1/1/2012. […] A new employee was being trained by another when a older woman (apparently a hotel manager) stepped in front of me, interrupted my check-out process & demanded a 3-hole punch. Can't beat it for the price.

My only comment would be that very early in the morning there was a lot of noise, seemed to be many people in the hallway and banging noises. I was on the first floor and could hear people above me walking very heavily. This died down after people had left for the day as I was checking out later.

I arrived at the hotel and noticed that there was no shampoo in the shower so I called the guest services number which was zero and they immediately brought me shampoo. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. I love that there is a full kitchen too!

Contrary to the reviews at the time of my booking, this was not a nice place but passable at best. The sheets on the bed were not changed and dirty but the bed was made up. The bathroom floor had hair and bugs and the tub drain was clogged. Furnishing were worn but you get what you pay for and the rates were cheap. Know I know why.

Very basic hotel/studio. No frills at all. Bed and couch were not very comfortable, but the room was clean. Minimal bedding in room, had to go to front office for additional pillows. Stay was 1 nite, so it was not an issue.

This is an example of "you get what you pay for." The hotel is inexpensive, and the quality matches the price. The carpet was dirty and the whole room felt a bit grimy. This was by far the best price but we didn't have to compromise on cleanliness or space. We were very comfortable with three adults and two almost teen boys.

I spent one night at the hotel at the end of the first day of a two day road trip. The room was very spacious for a room with two queen beds. It had a couch that my husband stretched out on while he watched a basketball playoff game. Although the furniture is somewhat dated and spartan in appearance, it was very comfortable. In need of a last-minute accommodation, I booked a room at Studio Plus Akron. In addition to location convenience, the cleanliness/room facilities were excellent. The halls seemed to never get vaccumed the whole weekend but the room was clean except the dishes which just looked like they had not been used in a while. We felt very welcomed and the staff was great.

The only complaint I had was that there wasnt a dishwasher or dishwashing liquid.... other than that, the room was clean, we had a shower with a bathtub... we loved the location, because everything was right there.... if you are looking to get away from everything, this isn't the place... but if you plan to eat good & shop well... this is it!!!

Lighting in room was dim. If you like looking at the table and counter for food preparation in 40w of light then this is for you. Also smoke detector was beeping ...told front desk and they didn't have spare batteries so I bought one and installed it to keep the detector from beeping all night (I was promptly re-imbursed at end of my stay). We booked this room at the last minute to meet a friend that came into town. It's not a 4 star hotel but nice price and other amenities makes it worth staying. Liked the full kitchen and the room was huge! It is an older hotel, so the decorating is a little dated and the TV was older, but everything worked. Everything was clean as well. We were in town for a house hunting trip and knew we wouldn't be in the room much. The previous reviews were helpful. When we arrived, no one was in the office and the door to the office was closed and locked. We called and they came quickly. Our room was clean and the hotel quiet. The staff we encountered, while not overly friendly, weren't rude. The […] hotel looked to be in the early stages of a remodel. The carpeting was different on the first floor than the other 2. It could use it but our room was clean and the carpet without stains. I will have to be in Akron to work until we close on the new house and this will be my choice for those stays.
