Convenient location close to I-80 and Jordan Creek. Clean and quiet rooms. McDonald's walking distance. Nice staff. Helpful with meeting needs for traveling with an infant.

Only problem, the hotel is under construction, a little difficult to get in and out. All employees, EXCELLENT! Maid service EXCELLENT! Enjoyed our visit,Jordan Creek Mall is right down the street, eating places all around. Great trip!

The lobby was under renovation when we arrived so we had to use a side entrance to get to a temporary front desk. This was not inconvenient at all. All the rooms have been beautifully renovated from top to bottom. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the area.

I would not pay the Marriott premium price until the hotel public areas remodel project is completed.

I had to go to Des Moines with my son who was in the State Wrestling tournament and this was the first time I have stayed in the West Des Moines Marriott. The hotel itself was extremely clean and well maintained and the rooms were fantastic. Above all this, however, the staff was phenomenal. I was treated with nothing but respect and kindness by everyone […] from the reception staff to the maids. I will definitely stay here again every time I have to go to Des Moines. Had a great stay with our family! The pool was great and the rooms were modern but still comfortable. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the hotel personnel was more than accomodating.

The stay was great EXCEPT for the clerk at the desk while we were checking out. I asked her about the breakfast that was paid for in my package. She was very rude when she said to ask the people in the restaurant as Marriott has NOTHING to do with the bill. "Expedia EVENTUALLY pays us.....I guess"(as she shows my bill with her showing a $0 balance. I […] walked over to the restaurant and the hostess was great and figured out our breakfast accommodations from our room number. It seems the very goth looking desk clerk should have known the answer to my innocent question as I'm sure others have bought the room including breakfast. 더 보기

We have stayed at this hotel for several years during the State Wrestling Tournament. This is NOT a relaxing vacation as the Tournament lasts 3-4 days and is very fast paced. Meaning you make at least 5 trips to Well's Fargo for the different session. West Des Moines Mariott has always accomodated us to the best of their abilities and we have always […] enjoyed staying there. The only concern I have with our last stay, was the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and I personally would have like to have known that before confirming my reservation as the construction noise was very loud, there was no lobby, just a check in window in the hallway, and no lounge to speak of. I do realize there is no good time for renovations, but letting the guests know before booking would be appreciated. 더 보기

very nice hotel, enjoyed the stay. only negative thing is we reserved a deluxe room and they could not gaurantee us two queen beds, ended up with a king bed for 4 people, you do the math. ended up having to sleep on the floor.

Our room was on a floor that had been recently remodeled. The entire floor smelled like paint. Apparently, people had been given our room before already opted for a new one, and yet, we were given the room that someone else didn't want. I wonder if we complained about the same. Nice experience, friendly staff, good restaurant and great location in West Des Moines that's close to a top-notch mall and lots of visitor attractions. Only complaint: breakfast should be included in the price.

My room was comfortable, the breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and the hotel is in a great location. I-80 is close, Jordan Creek Mall and some great dining options are also close and University isn't far away to access additional West Des Moines favorites. I'd stay here again.

This is a great hotel. My only complaint was that our room was really humid. It has an older HVAC unit.

Inter-hotel communications were not good - couldn't get room service. Had to ask twice to get a crib for our room. Room key didn't work and had to get new keys. Unpleasant mildew oder in bathroom.

As I was looking for an extra outlet in the room, I moved the extra sitting chair in the room and found a beer bottle and some playing cards. I informed the front desk and they said they would clean it up. The next day it was still there. The gentleman at the desk was very apologetic about it. One morning the cleaning people came at 9am, I told her […] not ready yet, but as usual they did not speak english. If I had no where else to go I'd maybe stay again. 더 보기

Although we were only there for one night, we were pleased at how clean and attractive the room was. The carpet in both the hall and room seemed new and very cheerful. There is convenient dining at the facility.

Failed to meet reservation confirmatio. Lack of customer service skills at front desks on two occasions.

I was at the hotel for a conference. I only have 2 complaints - and they're minor. First, there was NO fruit at breakfast. I was stuck eating carbs! Second, toilet leaked and at least once every hour it would start to refill. Super annoying but I kept forgoting to tell hotel desk. My fault!

Just spent one night but very pleased over all. The room was nice, staff very friendly and helpful. We got the room with full breakfast and it was awesome. Only complaint re the room was the pillows. They had lots of them but none were very comfortable. We had 4 women and we all agreed on the pillows. The whirlpool had very low water pressure on the […] jets and the advertised sauna didn't exist. This hotel is nice. Very pretty to see. Location is easy to access and we didn't have any noise from the interstate. Several shopping/eating places are within a mile or two. The towels are okay, the shower is great. Bed was comfortable, Pillows are either big and square or regular and mushy. If thats not your style - bring your own. We were there to visit with family and this was the perfect spot. We were close to the mall which had restaurants, shops, movie theater, as well as 10 minutes or less from our daughter's house and Waukee High School where we watched our granddaughter perform. Had dinner one night in the hotel bar - food was great and service, while a bit slow, the bar […] was also crowded with only one person serving. Quiet and convenient. Had a great stay! All hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, neat and comfortable. I also had other family members who stayed at the hotel and they had a great experience as well.

The hotel was conveniently located off the interstate, clean and well maintained. The room was up to date and bed was comfortable. I would recommend it and would likely stay here again if in the area and the price was right.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were much more plush and comfortable than I expected. This was one of the best hotels I ever spent an evening. The staff was great and the place was super clean. Thumbs up, I recommend this to everyone!
