Hotel under renovation but room comfortale and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was under construction for some upgrades in the lobby area when we were there, but they did their best to avoid problems for guests. Still some construction noise could be heard on 3rd floor. Room was very nice, great beds and linens. The heat/ac unit was noisy which was a bit distracting during nighttime hours. I'm rating the hotel property very high except for its breakfast offering. Breakfast was rather scant and not exactly good. I've had better in lesser hotels.

My wife and I stayed one night when we visited our son at University of Virginia. We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance to both university and Amtrak station. We arrived early. The gentleman at check-in was very helpful in taking in our luggage first while we went for lunch and waited for our room to be ready. I requested for a quiet […] room as we would be sleeping early to catch an early train. We were happy to be given a room at the far-end corner. The room was comfortable and thoughfully furnished. The only little disapointment was the complimentary breakfast which is good for a quick bite but not a hearty meal to start the day. 더 보기

Nice, clean and comfy. Looks like recently re-modelled. From towel to bedding to bathroom door, nothing feels cheap. Hot breakfast in the morning. Free WiFi, although the speed is only about 512K.

The advantage of this hotel was the convenience to Monticello, wineries, restaurants, and Univ of VA. The desk clerk directed us to a good lunch restaurant while we waited for an early check-in and our room was ready for us when we got back from lunch.

This was a very good value for the $. Staff was super pleasant, attentive and helpful. I like a can-do attitude and the staff I met was in the zone for customer service. Rooms are very comfortable and comp WiFi made it even nicer.

WAS REAL GOOD LOCATIONFOR SIGHT SEEING ENJOYED THE VISIT

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. Though I arrived earlier than the normal check-in time, they secured a room for me with no issue. There was a slight musty odor in the room, but a spritz of perfume took care of that. I was extremely impressed by how accommodating the shuttle bus driver […] was...while I was out on business, he drove my relative who was on travel with me to a local take-out, waited, then transported her back to the hotel. The breakfast and all day snacks of cookies and fruit were also enjoyable. Lastly, the front desk offers grab bags of continental breakfast items to take with you, should you be short on time. This was unique, and greatly appreciated. Highly recommend for business travelers and visitors to the UVA campus, which is within walking distance. 더 보기

The nonsmoking suite we had reservations for smelled terrible like someone was smoking in there for a very long time. The blankets, carpet sheets smelled awful. We were disturbed at 4:30 in the morning by a phone call from a guest in another room we didn't know. This was scary and we could not get back to sleep.
