The suites are very nice and comfortable and breakfast was awesome as they always are at Embassy Suites. I have 2 complaints. They did not have self service parking only valet parking which cost an extra and no free wifi in the rooms.

This place is good for family stays. Nice staff. Spacious and walkable to amenities such as skiing, casinos, restaurants, movies, lakefront. They have an indoor pool which is full of kids. A kid friendly breakfast buffet. Decor is pretty generic but about what you'd expect from a corporate chain. Well worth the price we paid. If you prefer to be far […] removed from the busy street and deep in the woods, this isn't the place for you. Ask for a room on higher floors to avoid being too close to the morning rush and pool areas. overall the hotel was OK. The matress was too soft and it hurts my back. Another thing is I was charged for the interstate phone calls which I did not dial at all plus everybody has cell phone nowadays. I didn't need to use the hotel phone. I was very upset about that and talk to the front desk supervisor about this matter. She said she could not take […] off the numbers which dialled from my room. I was asking her how could that happened then she said she had no idea. For this matter I don't feel safe when I stayed here because when I leave the room somebody can enter my room and do something like this . Needs a lot of renovations. Cheesy room....Way too expensive for the quality of the room.

The last time I stayed here was with a group of ladies for a bachelorette party back in 2008 and I love it then. Nothing has changed. This time I came with my two young children. The staff were very accomodating and helped give us directions to find a few places where the kids could play in the snow, as there wasn't much snow left! We ordered room service […] once, which was pretty good, and only took about 20 minutes. We also ate at the restaurant - Echo, I believe, and it was delicious andthe staff were great help with my munchkins. It's not easy travelling alone with a 4 year old and a six month old, but the staff made it as easy as it could have been! We will definitely stay here again! 더 보기

My experience at the Embassy Suites in So. Lake Tahoe was excellent until I checked out and discovered the daily wifi charge (which was reasonable) was per device per day per room. My Family and I had a total of four laptops that weekend in our suite. The wifi charge was times 4 per day. I was shocked and felt taken advantage of by that exorbitant charge. I […] travel frequently and I have never experience a wifi charge per room that charged per device. Outrageous!! So if your planning on staying at the Embassy Suites and are bring laptops or other devices, beware of the wifi scam. I was told by the front desk that it is a company policy. I won't stay there again because I feel I was taken advantage of by the wifi charges. 더 보기

If they are going to have a breakfast buffet and manager happy hour, they may want to think about not corraling people into smaller and smaller areas, with less and less options for food/drinks, service. Long lines and waits. The business area is very poorly thought out and the WiFi is very limited and slow.

The embassy suites in south shore was very cool.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to Heavenly Ski Resort. The staff were the most welcoming I have ever encountered at any hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable for our 3 night stay. The complimentary happy hour from 4:30-6:30pm was a very nice incentive after a day on the slopes. Overall I enjoyed the visit. The location was perfect and a 5 minute walk to the gondola. When we walked into our room it was filthy dirty with food and unmade beds which was a disappointing start. The fire alarm went on 6x around 11pm onward and the kids woke up panicking and took us awhile to go back to sleep

The location and value of this place is fantastic. It's cheaper than both Harrah's (which is next door) and Marriott (next door on the other side). In terms of location, you can't beat this Embassy Suites. The biggest problem for me was that there was no free parking. This can be a problem since parking is at a premium in such high traffic area. You […] can park at the Heavenly Resort for $25 a day, or you can use Embassy Suites' $25 valet parking... or you can risk getting towed in the free Harrah's lot. I decided to risk it and park @ Harrah's (as suggested by the valet), but it would have been a lot better to have the peace of mind of free parking. The hotel room bed,s very unconfrotbel and the room looks very old and very nosie and when I arrived the front desk give me smoking room and I side I don't won't smoking room she side sorry you resvi by therd party not confirmd not smoking .I show my email to her and she still she won't give me no smoking room and I told her my family they can get sick […] and finally after 3 she give me non smoking room 더 보기

The location is undisputably good for South Tahoe. Steps from Heavenly and the casinos without having to stay at the casinos. The conditionof the room is ok. The sofa bed was lumpy and quite uncomfortable and the blankets were a bit dirty. There was also crumps on the bedroom carpet when we arrived. Always a great place to stay. Walking distance to gondola. Very central for South Lake. Hotel is great as well with above average happy hour and breakfast set up for the Embassy Suites.

I had a great time. The room was spacious and the complementary breakfast and cocktails were very yummy. The overall setting was very relaxing after a long day in the snow.

Everything was great except for the outdated TV's in the room. They really need to upgrade to flat screens.

Premium suite (one of the 13 "finest", most expensive suites in the hotel). But the carpet was filthy, should have been replaced years ago. MOLD growing on bathtub caulk. We stayed here many times and love this place. We are a family of 5 with kids in the age of 5, 7 and 11. The room including the bathroom was big enough for all of us to have good comfortable space relaxing in the room. To get to Heavenly Base Area Gondola it is less than 5-minute walk with your ski boots on (not 1-minute like they say on theWeb). I really liked the location, especially, for children to stay in. They felt really safe, and all the employees were wonderful. I would definitely stay there again. right next to casinos! also has an indoor pool and hot tub that is great for all year around. Great deal with breakfast and happy hour.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. Right next to everything within walking distance. Great stay.

We are a family with 3 children so having breakfast included in the price was great! It wasn't a continental breakfast either, it was a full breakfast! I had an omelette every morning.

The only thing I would say was a disappointment was the Happy Hour snacks. We were expecting a little more then fish crackers and pretzels. Other Embassey locations have nachos, fries, etc. Other than that, it was a great stay! Oh, and the very expensive mandatory valet parking. That was not so great.

Overall, very good. The only negative was the so-called manager,s reception. Popcorn, goldfish crackers and pretzels do not constitute a very pleasing spread and certainly is not up to par with other Embassy Suites.

If your staying in tahoe for skiing or gambling embassy suites is in the perfect location. The Hotel is beautiful and my wife and were surprised by the full breakfast buffet and complimentary happy hour. Very cool place, I will be back soon.

Don't let the images on the site fool you, they are stock photos of what a modern Embassy Suites looks like, not this particular property. This one features old style TV's and furnishings. Definitely in need of an update.

Right in the heart of everything in South Lake Tahoe. Easy access to Heavenly's gondola, across the street from all major casinos and restaurants; Great amenities with indoor pool, complimentary breakfast and manager's happy hour.

Good comfortable rooms, close to Heavenly. Cons It's a bit pricey and hate to spend money on parking.

Embassy Suites is a nice hotel, but this one hasnt changed in years. The interior is a bit outdated, both in the rooms and elsewhere. The breakfast food flavor was bland like a school lunch cafeteria. I wasn't too happy about also having to pay extra for the guests in my room. Not the first time we've stayed here and won't be the last. Complimentary made to order omelet breakfast included, comp cocktails and beers in the evening. The hotel offers laundry facilities but way too many people using them, even in the wee hours of the morning. Clean room, convenient (walk to ski lift & restaurants), helpful staff (we requested new batteries in the TV remote & extra pillows and they were delivered quickly). Happy hour, indoor pool & hot tub were nice perks. The breakfast was free but the hot food wasn't really hot. Overall though, we'd come back.

This is my second time staying at Embassy with my family. It is a great hotel choice if you are visiting the Heavenly Ski Resort. Only a 5 min walk to the Gondola and Ski Rentals. If you have flown into Reno like us, you have the choice of not renting a car and taking a shuttle run by South Tahoe Express to and from Reno and Embassy Suites. Some stretches […] along the road from Reno to South Lake Tahoe is rather dangerous so be careful if you drive. On the way back to the airport on the shuttle, we passed by a car which had overturned. Not all rooms of the hotel have been updated with LCD TVs. On the first night, we were given a room next to a staff storage area. Make sure you do not get such rooms as we were disturbed by noise coming from the storage room next to our room at about 4 am in the morning. Had a room change the next day which solved the problem. Staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were sufficiently large and came with a small fridge and microwave. The hotel is a basic hotel. Stains on the carpet and everything but pluses are the amenities. Hot cooked breakfast is included in your room rate and the managers happy hour every night for 2 hours is well worth it.
