I wanted a hotel near the train station because that's how I was arriving and departing, and I really lucked out. The hotel was within easy walking distance but also a block from the Salzach River providing a lovely walk to everything to be seen in the old city. Plenty of restaurants nearby. For three girls travelling to Salzburg for a sightseeing and shopping holiday the Villa Carlton was a well located, modern and friendly place to chill out and relax. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern, the only downside being lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room itself. Drinks could be ordered from the bar but it was a bit of a trek […] to the reception from the fourth floor - a connecting phone would have been useful. The room also included a safe that required no deposit to use which was good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was good but expensive for what it was (mainly continental) but there were many other local places to grab a bite for a lot cheaper. On websites the hotel suggests that breakfast must be ordered when booking but this is not the case, we only paid for one breakfast that we had during our stay. The hotel has a small bar area located in the lobby which was funky and comfortable but right in front of the reception desk so it wasn't too cosy. However the bar stocked a good range of drinks that were fairly reasonable. I would certainly recommend the hotel to others who are looking for a trendy and friendly place to stay. 더 보기

We stayed as a family of 3. It was nice that there was a separate bedroom for us adults. Beds were very comfortable and the general outlook of the hotel was positive. It is about 15 minutes walk to the old town, but it is a pleasant walk, along the river bank. We would stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at Villa Carlton. A perk was being able to take the hotel's laptop to our room for use - we weren't even asked our room number when they handed it over!

Beautiful hotel! Huge room! The employees were so nice and very helpful with recommendations. The room was huge and very nice. It was a great price. It was also close the Train Station, the famous park and close to the bus stops. Had a great time staying four nights at the hotel.

Villa Carlton is about 10 minutes walk from downtown Salzburg. It has on site parking. the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Staff were helpful.

We loved our stay at the Villa Carlton. The hotel and rooms were clean, modern, seemed recently updated, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the modern and somewhat quirky design choices. We had a room in the back of the hotel (room 211) and it was quiet with a nice view of some trees and the hills in the distance. Our friends stayed in a room that […] faced the main road in the front (room 208) and it was a bit noisier due to traffic. There was an elevator to get to the 2nd floor. The beds were quite comfortable. We had a double room which had two twin beds together. I don’t think there was air conditioning, but it was so cold outside that we didn’t notice it. We loved the shower both in design and function - it was spacious, great water pressure and even had a shelf for our shampoo, etc. Very well thought out. This hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the old part of town. You walk along the river and take a pedestrian bridge to the sights. It’s a lovely walk. We walked home on a Sunday night and still felt safe in the neighborhood despite the fact that the streets were not well-populated. If you want to stay directly in the old part of town, then this is not the hotel for you. There were about 10-15 parking spots for the hotel, but you had to pay and extra 9 euros. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room, it was 14 euros per person. This was by far the most expensive breakfast fee we saw on our trip. We had a car so we skipped breakfast (which seemed to be the usual of meats, cheeses, cereals, coffee, and breads) and drove to a bakery. The bakery was probably a 20 minute walk from the hotel away from the old city, but it was on our way out of town. There was free internet in the room that worked fairly well. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. All spoke English. They provided directions, a map, and dinner recommendations. Coffee and tea is available at the reception bar for a small fee. Spent 3 nights here in early August. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel looked to be recently renovated. The room was comfortable and a bit larger than most European rooms. The room was clean, well appointed with room for two to get around each other. The bathroom was compact but well designed with a great shower. The location is central […] so it was easy to walk to almost everything. Would recommend the Salzburg card as good value if there for 2 full days. 더 보기

If this hotel had air con, it would be fabulous. Location great, trendy decor, large room, service great but just hot!

Hotel does not have A/C and had to open windows but our room was on the first floor on the side of the building facing the busy street. Thus noise from traffic kept us awake. Room was in desparate need of painting. Desk staff weren't particularly helpful.

Although we can't compare our visit with competing hotels in the area, we were disappointed that the internet access was impossible unless we waited in line to use the hotel's laptop near the lobby. Access from our room or in the lobby from our OWN device was impossible. Also for the price we paid, breakfast should have been included. In the future […] we will try other options. 더 보기

Really mice hotel recently done up. Really close to the old town about 10min walk! Defiantly recommend.

The hotel was very nicely appointed, spacious and spotless! The folks at the front desk were extremely helpful. The only fly in the ointment was the bed; it was hard as a rock. Short waling distance from train station. Near park and short walk from hotel to Mozart's apartment. Easy walk to historic downtown area. Very quiet. Only complaint about the very modern room the bath did not have a shower curtain or door but it did have a hose mounted on the wall (typical European setup). I assumed from the newness of the room that […] it was a punch list item waiting to be completed. Typical European breakfast but with fried eggs and bacon available also. DON'T LET THE TITLE FOOL YOU, THIS IS A STUNNING HOTEL, RECENTLY REMODELED AND WALKING DISTANCE TO ALL THE MUST SEE AND DO SITES IN SALZBURG. THE ROOMS WE HAD WERE WAY ABOVE EXPECTATION, ROOMY AND SPACIOUS, THE BATHTUB WAS A LITTLE HIGH AND SOMEWHAT A CHALLENGE TO GET IN AND OUT OF, GREAT WATER PRESSURE AND LOTS OF HOT WATER. THE LOBBY WAS WONDERFUL […] FOR GATHERING BEFORE DINNER AND THE PATIO WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FOR AFTER DINNER SOCIALIZING. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE LACK OF AN ICE MACHINE OR VENDING MACHINES FOR THE LATE NIGHT SNACK , I MUST SAY THE FRONT DESK MADE A VALIANT EFFORT IN GETTING US ICE AS OFTEN AS WE WANTED IT. My stay at the Villa Carlton Hotel was very enjoyable. The staff are extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. The room was bright airy and very clean. Well done and I will certainly be back again soon.

Es ist ein hotel in sehr guter zemtrumslage. top modern eingerichtet und das mit einen sehr guten styl, und guter farbenkompination, das personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. das hotel bietet eine sehr familiere antmosphäre.

Das Hotel liegt wirklich sehr zentral gleich wenige Meter neben dem Mirabellgarten. Die Zimmer und das Hotel insgesamt waren auch sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Verglichen mit anderen Hotels hätte ich für ein 4*Haus jedoch etwas mehr Komfort erwartet. *keine Minibar & Getränke auf dem Zimmer *kein Zusatzangebot wie Wellness, Sport seitens des Hotels *Schon […] Anzeichen, dass in den Zimmern bereits gewohnt wurde, hier insbesondere kleinere Flecken an Lampenschirmen & Wänden. Ett mycket dåligt hotell som utlovar mer är vad dem kan prestera! När jag och min sambo kommer dit bli vi anvisade till ett rum som ligger på bottenvånigen och vetter ut mot gatan och trafiken. När vi frågar reseptionisten om det finns ett annat rum suckar hon bara och säger nej. Vi blir ganska irriterade med tanke på att vi hade bokat i god tid.. Väl […] inne i rummet upptäcker vi att det inte är ordeltligt städat. Damm under sängen och damm och små tillhörigheter i badrummet som ej är bortstädade från den förra personen som bodde i rummet. Känndes ganska äckligt att behöva bo i någon annans smuts! Även sängen i sig var ett problem. Vi hade bokat ett dubbelrum med Dubbelsäng. Men sängen i sig är två små sängar på rullhjul som dem har dragit ihop. Detta gjorde så att sängarna for rumt på golvet om man rör sig det minsta när man låg i dem. Dem var inte fastgjorde på något sätt. Försökte se om det fanns något slags slå på hjulen, men lyckades inte hitta något sådant. Så våra två nätter blev ett omtumlande minne. Även personalen i sig gjorde att besöket blev ett negativ intryck för oss. Vi kännde oss inte riktigt välkommna och mest till besvär om vi råkade fråga om något. Es un Hotel increible si no fuera por ciertos detalles como: que no ponen shampoo, enjuague y jabon para la ducha, solo tienen un gel que es todo uso. Al llegar a la hab. tenia un papel de baño casi terminado y no hubo manera que me pusieran uno nuevo. El ambiente musical del Lobby era una simple estacion de radio con muchisima publicidad, que les cuesta […] poner un CD o algo por el estilo. Pero quitando esos Detalles es un hotel muy bueno para Salzburgo. Espero que mejoren esos pequeños detalles. Felicitaciones 더 보기

Zentral gelegen, chick eingerichtet, freundliches Personal - ideal für Businessreisende und Urlauber!

this hotel is very very good. i definitely recommend this hotel. the price was also very cheap. we stayed in triple room with my parents. they also were satisfied with this hotel. the best thing was so clean!

Bei dem Hotel wurde der Charme eines alten Hauses mit komplett neuem Design kombiniert. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Ich werde das Hotel bei weiteren Salzburg Aufenthalten wieder buchen.

beim Einchecken sollte man aufpassen,. dass man kein Zimmer zur Strasse hin bekommt. Vor allem im Sommer ist dies lästig, da das Hotel über keine Klimaanlage verfügt, zumindest nicht in den Zimmern und wenn man lüften möchte, den Lärm der Strasse voll mit nimmt. Ansonsten vom Service und dem Drumherum zu empfehlen, liegt sehr zentral.

Das Hotel liegt in angenehmer und ruhiger Lage. Zum Zentrum nur 10 Minuten Gehzeit. Das Zimmer war neu renoviert und in Ordnung. Das Personal freundlich und bemüht. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers könnte großzügiger sein. (Keine Minibar in der Suite). Frühstück sehr einfach (extra zu bezahlen).

Hotel is nieuw en ziet er prachtig uit ,rustig gelegen op loopafstand van de rivier, centrum en musea. Een aanrader!

The hotel is newly renovated so everything is brand new! Ok location with some good restaurants nearby. The parking possibillities is also goot, but there is only abot ten parking spaces. There was two things that was irritating in our stay. The cleaning of our room was not good. Arriving the hotel there was trash under our bed, hair in the bathtube […] and our remote to the tv was gone. After a couple of minutes searchig we found it between the matressess... This may sound as a triviality, but it didnt feel fresh. In about 23 at night we woke up because someone was vacuumcleaning in the hallway. Ok, that may happen if something has to be quickly cleaned, but its not ok if it keeps on in 15 minutes! Finally the noise ended. 20 minutes past midnight she started vacuumcleaning again... I still recommend this hotel, but i hope the cleaning staff will be straightened up. 더 보기

Wir waren sehr zufrieden - es war alles wunderbar! Das Frühstücksbuffet, auch wenn nicht im Preis inkludiert, war ausreichend und sehr gut. Die zentrale Lage war auch sehr angenehm (Nähe Bahnhof und Nähe Altstadt).

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, werden es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Leider muss man den Parkplatz extra zahlen.

Optimale Lage des Hotels, nur wenige Gehminuten bis zur Altstadt, freundliches Personal, sehr guter Service. Wir würden es jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die schalldichten Fenster.

Villa Carlton is a very nice Hotel, very well located though it is not in the downtown. It went through remodelation recently and you can tell because everything looks brand as new. We did not have breakfast there but the service in general is very good. The price for parking is low, which is a plus in Salzburg.
